Analytical Study on the Development of High-Performance Orthotropic Steel Deck considered the Fatigue Behaviors of Structural Details (구조 상세부의 피로거동을 고려한 고성능 강바닥판 개발에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • Various fatigue damages have been reported in orthotropic steel deck structures put upon girders. These damages are caused by complex behaviors of the deck, which is directly subjected to vehicle loads. To estimate the causes of fatigue cracks at the welded connected parts of the trough rib and the flor beam, and the trough rib and the deck plate, in orthotropic steel deck structures, FE analyses were first, performed in this study. Parameter studies were carried out to suggest effective structural details that consider fatigue, in which the main parameters are the thickness of the deck plate, the shape of the connection of the trough rib and the flor beam such as the slit form, and the welding length. This study suggests that the effective structural details improved the fatigue strength and discusses.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 지진발생 시 비보강 조적조 건축물의 손상상태 예측 및 내진성능 평가를 위해 기존건축물을 대상으로 역량스펙트럼 해석을 수행하였다. 이는 지진피해를 보다 상세하게 예측하고 건축물의 거동을 파악하기 위한 방법으로 국내 설계 지진하중과 부재의 비선형 특성을 적용하여 해석을 수행하였으며 해석 결과는 구조물의 손상상태에 따라 Slight, Moderate, Extensive, Complete 등으로 구분하여 평가하였다. 그 결과 대부분의 건축물에서 약간의 구조적 피해(Slight)와 보통의 구조적 피해(Moderate) 정도로 나타났으며, 일부 건축물에서 심각한 구조적 피해(Extensive)가 발생하는 것으로 예측되었다. 이전 연구에서 비보강 조적조 건축물의 내진성능평가를 위해 구조내진판정지표를 사용하여 내진성능을 판정하였으며 대부분의 비보강 조적조 건축물이 내진성능을 만족하지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존 건축물에 구조내진 판정지표를 적용하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 역량스펙트럼 해석을 함에 따라 보다 상세한 구조물의 피해정도를 예측할 수 있었다.

Computational Study on Supersonic Jets (초음속 제트에 관한 수치해석)

  • In spite of many researches made on the supersonic jets until now, detailed three-dimensional structures of supersonic jets are not well hewn. In the current study, the detailed structures of three-dimensional supersonic jets are numerically investigated using a CFD method. The total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme is used to solve the unsteady, three-dimensional, compressible Euler equations. Computational results are visualized to investigate the major features of supersonic jets. The three-dimensional computation results show that the structures of the supersonic jets are significantly different from those of the two-dimensional or axisymmetric supersonic jets.

  • SMART 냉각재순환펌프는 수직형 축류펌프로 분류되며 작동되는 환경의 특성상 캔드모터 펌프로 설계하였다. 냉각재순환점프의 전체 구조에 대한 개념설계를 수행하였으며 펌프의 주요부품인 회전측 집합체, 베어링 집합체, 전동기를 설계하였다. 베어링의 구조와 형상설계를 수행하였고 전동기는 농형유도 전동기로 설계하였으며 회전자의 슬롯에 대한 상세설계와 고정자의 슬롯에 대한 상세설계를 수행하였다. 앞으로 회전축의 동특성 해석, 임펠러의 캐비테이션 시험, 베어링의 내구성 시험, 펌프몸체의 응력해석을 수행할 예정이다.

  • After CSR is in effect, a matter of concern is how many to increase in terms of weight due to apply it to the ship and what difference it is comparing between existing rule and CSR rule. The concepts of CSR are to make the ship safer, more robust. and the design requirement clearer. Furthermore it pursues longer life of ship in fatigue strength. By reasons of those, most of requirements are stronger than before. Therefore many part of ship should be reinforced and the weight of ship can be increased. Under those circumstances, the builder should make an effort to define the CSR and to find the methods to manage well this situation. In this study, we performed 3D Cargo hold and Fine-mesh F.E analysis and deduced a conclusion and introduced new detail design.

  • In this study, experimental and analytical studies were conducted on the structural performance of permanent steel formed wide beams in construction stage. Four specimens were fabricated with different rib spacings of the side steel formwork and fixing plate depths, and experimental tests were performed to investigate the effects of variables on the structural performance. Also, an finite element analysis model of the steel permanent formwork wide beam was proposed based on the test results. Using the proposed model, parametric studies were performed with variables including rib spacing of the bottom and side steel formwork, spacing, depth, and thickness of the fixing plate to derive optimized details. Furthermore, an artificial neural network model was developed to easily estimate the deformation of the steel permanent formwork wide beam with various details.

  • In this study, a detail design was conducted for KSLV-1 1st stage Rear Fuselage Upper Compartment assembly. A basic structural sizing was done by the aircraft fuselage sizing in-house program. The frame structural design and the interface check were conducted by the FE and the CAD program. The structural margin of safety was conformed by FE analysis for the normal section model and duct cut-out section models which are the weakest parts of the rear fuselage. The shear stress analysis was performed for a fastener design of the skin-stringer which is most affected by the shear stress induced by the shear load.

  • This paper presents a prototype for structural analysis and design system by use of the STEP concepts for the representation and exchange of information on framed steel structures, and also integrates the product model of steel structures of AP 230, geometric and topological information of Part 42, and detailed Finite Element Analysis information of Part 104 into an unified system. Thus, the STEP-based system makes engineering information more clearable and exchangeable between computer applications than any other conventional methods. This system may be further extended to incorporate other computer applications for detailed engineering and manufacturing information on steel structures.
