A Study on the Similitude of member Behavior for Small-Scale Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Structure (철근콘크리트 축소모델의 부재거동 상사성에 관한 연구)

  • Four types of experiments were performed to check the similitude of member behavior between prototype and 1 /10 scale models : (1) Test of slender columns with P-$\Delta$ effect, (2) Test of short columns with and without confinement steel, (3) Test of simple beams without stirrups, and (4) 'T-beam test. Based on the results of experiments, the conclusions were made as follows : (1) The P-$\Delta$ effect of slender columns can be almost exactly represented by 1/10 scale model. (2) The effect of confinement on short columns by the hoop steel can be also roughly simulated by 1/10 scale model. (3) The failure modes of simple beams without stirrups are brittle shear failures in prototype whereas those of 1/10 scale models are the ductile yielding of tension steel followed by large diagonal tension cracking and compressive concrete failure. (4) The behaviors of prototype and 1/10 scale model in T-beams appear very similar.

Study of Similarity Theory of River Models with Movable Beds and its Application. (이동상 하천모형이론의 수립 및 적용)

  • A relaxed similarity theory which can be applied to river models with movable beds is established by modifying existing theory by Einstein and chien(1954). Experimental data collected from river models with movable beds were used to evaluate the applicability of the proposed theory. Effects of similarity of flow, ΔFΔM, and similarity of sediment movement, ΔFs, were examined by analyzing the behaviour of total river-bed change. The results show that the smaller ΔFΔM or ΔFs is, respectively, the larger total sedimentation is. The modified similarity theory established in this study would be useful and practical whenever it is impossible or very difficult to satisfy strict theoretical requirements concerning the river model experiments with movable beds. The Impact of Servant Leadership Mediated through Self Leadership on Job Attitude - Centered on Hotel Restaurant Employees - (셀프리더십을 매개로 한 서번트 리더십이 직무 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Hotel practitioners are searching for leadership typology to maximize employees' capabilities and consistency in their attitude. Also, they are increasingly interested in their employees' traits which constitute and influence their job attitude. This study sought to investigate the impact of servant leadership mediated through self-leadership on employees' job attitude. Focused on hotel restaurant employees, representing 15 hotels in Seoul Metropolitan Area, a survey was conducted and 272 respondents out of 297 were empirically analyzed. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS 12.0 for Windows and AMOS software program. Structural equation modeling was conducted to test the hypotheses. The results suggested that servant leadership has a significant impact on self-leadership. Furthermore, self-leadership was found to have a significant impact on job satisfaction. However, direct influence of self-leadership on organizational commitment was not found. Finally, servant leadership was found to have a direct impact on job satisfaction. On the other hand, servant leadership positively influences on organizational commitment when mediated through self-leadership. In addition, this study provides practical implications for hotel restaurant professionals in linking servant leadership mediated through self-leadership to job attitude.

The Effect of Nurse Social Support and Job Satisfaction on Job Embeddedness in the Small and Medium Sized Hospital Nurses (중소병원 간호사의 사회적 지지와 직무만족이 직무배태성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of social support and job satisfaction on job embeddedness in the small and medium size hospital nurses. The subjects were small and medium hospital nurses in G city, and 197 data were analyzed. Data were analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, supervisor support, peer support of social support, job satisfaction were reported positively correlated with job embeddedness. The study model accounted for 28.0% of job embeddedness. The most powerful variable affecting job embeddedness was job satisfaction(β=.33 p<.001). In order to promote job embeddedness of small and medium hospital nurses, it is suggested that measures for improving job satisfaction and supervisors support of social support.

  • As the service industry has been getting increased attention as the core for the national economic growth, in order to promote growth and development of the industry, in-depth research on the workers in the industry has been timely called for. Therefore current study aims to explore the effect of leadership style on organizational citizenship behavior(ie OCB) for increased productivity of workers in the service industry, and the role of multi-dimensional justice in the relationship between them. The findings suggest that transformational and transactional leadership both have positive effect on OCB, implying that application of leadership style that is appropriate to the context may be more important, Also, mediation test of multi-dimensional justice resulted partial mediation effect except for the procedural justice in the relationship between transformational leadership and OCB.

  • The purpose of this paper is that analyze the influence of empowering leadership and constituent individual of organization's creativity and the moderating effect of leader-member exchange. For the verify the variables relationship, we perform the hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, empowering leadership positively effect creativity when appear the leader's leading by example, coaching, informing and showing concerning. And also, we are confirm the moderating effect LMX. To conclude, Empowering leadership influence positive and negative effect to creativity by the sense of the affect, the loyalty, the contribution, professional respect.
