Synchronization Technique Based on Adaptive Combining of Sub-correlations of Multiband Sine Phased BOC Signals (부상관함수의 적응적 결합에 기반한 다중 대역 Sine 위상 BOC 신호 동기화 기법)

  • This paper addresses a synchronization technique based on an adaptive combining of the sub-correlation functions obtained from multiband sine phased binary offset carrier (BOC) signals, allowing a BOC signal receiver to deal with multiband sine phased BOC signals. Specifically, we first obtain the sub-correlation functions composing the BOC autocorrelation function, and then, re-combine the sub-correlation functions generating a correlation function with no side-peak. Finally, by replacing the BOC autocorrelation with the correlation function with no side-peak in the delay lock loop, the proposed scheme performs unambiguous signal tracking. The proposed synchronization scheme is applicable to generic sine phased BOC signals. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme provides a performance improvement over the conventional unambiguous schemes in terms of the tracking error standard deviation.

  • The spectrum sensing is important for decision of using frequency band. It checks the frequency band for cognitive radio system. In this paper, we apply autocorrelation function to the energy detection method. We use the autocorrelation function to improve the performance of spectrum sensing method based on the energy detection method. This method is different from cyclostationary process method where parameters such as the mean or the autocorrelation function are time-varying periodically. And we propose improved method that is robust in poor radio environment. If the proposed method applies for sensing in the cognitive radio system, it will have the structural simplicity and the fast computation of spectrum sensing.

Local Signal Design for Binary Offset Carrier Signals (이진 옵셋 반송파 신호에 알맞은 국소신호 설계)

  • In this paper, we design local signals to remove side-peaks in the binary offset carrier (BOC) autocorrelation. Specifically, we first investigate why local signals of the conventional schemes are applicable to either sine or cosine-phased BOC signals, and then, design local signals applicable to both sine and cosine-phased BOC signals. Finally, we obtain two partial correlations and propose a correlation function with no side-peak via a combination of the partial correlations. From numerical results, we demonstrate that the designed local signals are applicable to both sine and cosine-phased BOC signals and can remove side-peaks completely.

  • 본 고에서는 참고문헌 [9]을 바탕으로 선형복잡도 특성이 우수하고 이상적인 자기상관함수 특성을 갖는 GMW 계열의 특성을 분석한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 LFSR 계열의 특성방정식을 제시한 후, 트레이스함수를 이용하여 GMW 계열을 정의한다. 그리고 GMW 계열의 자기상관함수를 구하며, 차수가 6인 GMW 계열의 생성기의 구조를 제시한다. 마지막으로 GMW 계열의 선형복잡도와 갯수를 구하는 수식을 유도한다.

Seismic Modeling for Inhomogeneous Medium (불균질 매질에서 탄성파 모델링)

  • The seismic velocity at the formation varies widely with physical properties in the layers. These features on seismic shot gathers are not capable of reproducing normally by numerical modeling of homogeneous medium, so that we need that of random inhomogeneous medium instead. In this study, we conducted Gaussian autocorrelation function (ACF), exponential autocorrelation function and von Karman autocorrelation function for getting inhomogeneous velocity model and applied a simple geological model. According to the results, von Karman autocorrelation function showed short wavelength to the inhomogeneous velocity medium. For numerical modeling for a gas hydrate, we determined a geological model based on field data set gathered in the East sea. The numerical modeling results showed that the von Karman autocorrelation function could properly describe scattering phenomena in the gas hydrate velocity model which contains an inhomogeneous layer. Besides, bottom-simulating-reflectors and scattered waves which appear at seismic shot gather of the field data showed properly in the inhomogeneous numerical modeling.

  • In this paper, contribution analysis method using a partial coherence function is dealt with in the case of underwater radiation noise. When performing the contribution analysis using a partial coherence function, it is important to select the order of system input. But in the case of frequency correlated systems, it is very difficult to properly select the order of system input. In order to solve this problem, the contribution analysis is performed by subdividing the area of contribution using multiple coherence function. And the new contribution analysis method is presented by using the relationship between the contribution characteristic matrix and multiple coherence function. In order to validate the new method, calculation is performed about multi-input / single-output model which is composed of sine waves. The result of calculation shows that it is possible to derive the exact contribution values.

  • 주변분포가 Laplace 분포인 세 가지 형태의 이변량 Laplace 분포를 연구한다. 각각의 이변량 Laplace 분포의 확률밀도함수와 누적분포함수를 유도하고, 분포의 그래프를 그려봄으로써 분포의 형태를 알아본다. 조건부 적률을 정리하여 조건부 첨도와 조건부 왜도를 구하고 분포의 성질을 파악한다. 상관계수를 구하여 다른 이변량 분포의 상관계수와 비교해 보았다. 그리고 정의된 분포함수를 응용하여 이변량 Laplace 분포를 따르는 난수벡터를 발생하는 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 생성된 난수벡터의 표본으로부터 구한 표본평균과 중앙값의 분산-공분산 행렬식을 구하고 이변량 정규분포에 대응하는 행렬식과 비교 토론하였다.

Comparison of Daily Soil Water Contents between Energy BalanceWater Budget Approach and TDR (에너지와 물수지 연계방법과 TDR로부터 얻어진 매일 토양 함수량의 비교)

  • The daily soil water contents were obtained from the time domain reflectometry (TDR) method and energy balance-water budget approach with eddy correlation at the two small semiarid watersheds of Lucky Hills and Kendall during the summer rainy period. There was a comparison of daily soil water content measured and estimated from these two different approaches. The comparison is valuable to evaluate the accuracy of current soil water content measuring system using TDR and energy balance-water budget approach using eddy correlation method at small watersheed scale. The degree of similarity between the regressions of these two methods of measuring soil water content was explained by determining the correlations between these methods. Simple linear regression analyses showed that soil water content measured from TDR method was responsible for 58% and 63% of the variations estimated from energy balance-water budget approach with eddy correlation at Lucky Hills and Kendall, respectively. The scatter plots and the regression analyses revealed that two different approaches for soil water content measurement at small watershed scale have no significant difference.

  • This paper have derived an expression(the fringe modle is used) for the photocurrelation-correlation function for a cross-beam laser velocimeter, taking into account the effects of atmospheric turbulence on the amplitude and phase of the incident beams. the result, as long as the atmospheric disturbances do not greatly damp out sinusoidal variations of the photocurrent-correlation function in the time it takes a particle to travel the fringe-separation distance, the disturbances do not hinder the determination of the velocity of the partides from the correlation funtion.(the scattering particles are assumed to have a well-defined V).

  • 대역 제한된 DS/SS 시스템의 상관 함수는 최고 값이 나타나는 시점과 함께 이른 또는 늦은 상관시간 옵셋 영역에서 극소 또는 극대로 나타나는 시점을 특징점으로 갖는다. 이 가운데 이른 상관시간옵셋 영역의 상관 함수는 다중경로 신호에 의해 덜 왜곡되기 때문에 이 영역의 상관 함수를 이용해 부호 동기를 추적하여 유지할 수 있다면 EL-DLL (delay lock loop with early minus late discriminator) 보다 추적편이를 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에 이런 특성을 이용하는 추적편이 완화 기법을 제안하고, 모의실험을 통해 성능을 알아본다.
