Effect of Additives on Preparation of Porous Alumina Membrane by Anodic Oxidation in Sulfuric Acid (황산전해조에서 양극산화에 의한 다공성 알루미나 막의 제조시 첨가제의 영향)

  • The porous alumina membrane was prepared from aluminum metal(99.8%) by anodic oxidation using DC power supply of constant current mode in an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid. To prevent the chemical dissolution of alumina membrane, $Al_2(SO_4)_3$, $AlPO_4$ and $Al(NO_3)_3$ which could be considered to supply $Al^{3+}$ ions were added to electrolyte solution at a reaction temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ and cumulative charge of $150C/cm^2$. Effects of these additives on the formation of porous alumina membrane were evaluated under various electrolyte concentration(5~20 wt%) and current densities($10{\sim}50mA/cm^2$). The membrane surfaces which were prepared in electrolyte solution with all the additives except $Al_2(SO_4)_3$ were damaged. However, when $Al_2(SO_4)_3$ was added to the $H_2SO_4$ solution, an uniform surface of porous alumina was obtained. Also, it was shown that the pore size of membrane was nearly independent on the quantity of $Al_2(SO_4)_3$ added at same electrolyte concentration and current density.

  • 현재 자동차엔진유를 비롯한 각종윤활유에 마찰마모방지제 및 산화방지제로 사용되고 있는 유용성 몰리부덴계 화합물은 윤활제의 첨가제로서 주목받고 있다. 이와 같은 유용성 몰리부덴계 화합물은 윤활제의 첨가제로서 마찰부분의 고온에 의해 열분해함으 2 유화몰리부덴($MoS_2$)을 생성하기 위해서 합성한 것이다. $MoS_2$는 마찰마모 감소제로서 잘 알려져 있지만 고체이기 때문에 마찰면에 COATING 하거나 윤활유에 분산시켜 사용하고 있다. 그러나 윤활유에 분산시키는 것과 마찰면에 흡착시키는 것과는 계면화학적 반대현상이므로 문제가 발생하게 된다. 그러므로 윤활유중에 안정한 분산계를 만들어 사용시에는 비교적 안정한 COLLOID 계가 파손되지 않아야 한다. 그러나 열가학적으로 불안정한 COLLOID 계를 유지하기는 어려운 문제이다. 그러므로 유용성인 몰리부덴계 화합물을 윤활유에 용해시켜 열적 혹은 TRIBOCHEMICAL 적으로 분해해 줌으로서 마찰표면에 $MoS_2$의 생성이 필요하다. 이와같은 목적으로 개발된 유용성 몰리부덴화합물은 마찰마모감소작용 및 산화방지작용의 메카니즘에 관해서는 불투명한 점이 많다. 본 논문은 유용성 몰리부덴계 화합물중 Molybdenum dialkyl dithiocarbamate (이후 MoDTC로 명함)를 윤활유 첨가제로 사용해 마찰실험을 통하여 마찰감소작용의 메카니즘을 해명하고, 특히 마찰표면에 생성될 $MoS_2$막의 효과에 관해 중점을 두고 분위기의 효과로 부터 MoDTC의 마찰감소작용의 인자에 대한 고찰을 행하였다.

Preparation and Reaction Studies of $Pt/Al_2O_3$ Model Catalysts

  • Surface of Pt/$Al_2O_3$ model catalyst was produced on an aluminum foil with surface area of 1 $cm^2$ The aluminum surface was oxidized under $10 ^5Torr$Torr oxygen and platinum was deposited on top of the oxide layer using a plasma evaporation source. Conversion of I-butene was performed on the model catalyst surface. Isomerization was the major reaction in I-butene conversion on the aluminum oxide layer. Addition of Pt on the aluminum oxide layer induces hydrogenation of I-butene. Selectivity for the hydrogenation increases as the amount of Pt on alumina increases.

The Effects of Emulsion-type Sausages Containing Mulberry Leaf and Persimmon Leaf Powder on Lipid Oxidation, Nitrite, VBN and Fatty Acid Composition (뽕잎과 감잎분말 첨가가 유화형 소시지의 지방산화, 아질산염, 염기태질소화합물 및 지방산 조성에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the sausage containing mulberry leaf(0.04%, 0.08%) and persimmon leaf powder(0.04%, 0.08%) on lipid oxidation(Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances, TBARS), nitrite, volatile basic nitrogen(VBN) and fatty acid composition. The TBARS values of sausage containing mulberry leaf and persimmon leaf powder were not significantly different(p > 0.05) as compared to control during 45 days of storage, but TBARS values of sausage containing 0.04% mulberry leaf and persimmon leaf powder were significantly lower than those of control at 60 days of storage. The nitrite scavenging ability of sausage containing mulberry leaf and persimmon leaf powder was higher than that of control. The VBN content of all treatments significantly increased(p < 0.05) during the storage periods. In fatty acid compositions, the percentages of PUFA/SFA of sausage containing mulberry leaf and persimmon leaf powder were significantly higher as compared to control. In conclusion, sausage containing mulberry leaf and persimmon leaf powder was a more effective natural resource on the basis of the lipid oxidation and nitrite scavenging ability of sausage.

Effect of Addition Level of Green Tea Extract on the Lactic Acid Bacteria, Oxidative Stability, and Aroma in Kimchi-fermented Sausage (녹차 추출물의 첨가 수준이 김치 발효 소시지의 젖산균, 산화안정성 및 향기에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the addition level (0 ppm, 400 ppm, 800 ppm, and 1,200 ppm) of green tea extract on the lactic acid bacteria, oxidative stability, and aroma in kimchi-fermented sausage. The sample sausages were fermented at $24^{\circ}C/RH$ 89% until attained to a pH value of 4.9 (for 17 h), and then dried at $10^{\circ}C/RH$ 75-80% for 6 d. The lactic acid bacteria count and pH value were 7.5-7.7 Log CFU/g sausage and 4.30-4.33, respectively, at 6 d of ripening. The results of those did not show significant differences among all treatments. The formation of TBARS (2-thiobarbituric acid reactive substances) was significantly lowered by increasing the addition level of green tea extract. During ripening periods, the CIE $L^*$ and $a^*$ values decreased; however, the $b^*$ value increased due to the addition of green tea extract. Utilizing an electric nose, the aroma pattern was clearly discriminated between green tea extract treatments and the control. Therefore, in kimchi-fermented sausages, the high addition level of green tea extract improved the lipid oxidation stability. In addition, regardless of the addition level, green tea extract changed the aroma while reducing the color stability. Moreover, it did not have any effect on the growth of lactic acid bacteria.

Oxidative Stability of Structured Lipid Containing Conjugated Linoleic Acid (복합 리놀레산을 함유하는 재구성지질의 산화안정성)

  • Structured lipid (SL) containing conjugated linoleic and caproic acid was produced from soybean oil through lipase-catalyzed reaction, and its oxidative stability was compared. When heated at $60^{\circ}C\;or\;150^{\circ}C$, soybean oil as control was more susceptible to oxidation than SL. When the antioxidants, such as ascorbyl palmitate, tea polyphenol, alpha-tocopherol, and rosemary extract, were added in SL, the induction periods of each antioxidant treats in SL were increased. The tea polyphenol showed the most effective antioxidant activity among them. When the emulsion form with SL was heated from oxidation, its oxidation stability was reduced compared to SL. The oxidation stability were also observed in photooxidation of SL.

Antioxidants of Pine Needle Extracts According to Preparation Method (제조방법별 솔잎추출물의 항산화성 검토)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of pine needle extracts on lipid oxidation and free radical reaction in iron sources reacted with active oxygen species. The results were summarized as follow; the catalytic effects of active oxygen on lipid oxidation in oil emulsion tended to be showed $OH,\;H_2O_2\;and\;KO_2$ in order. At the same time, pine needle extracts itself were tended to be showed a little catalytic effects. Active oxygen scavenging ability of pine needle extracts didn't show, but pine needle extracts played role as a strong chelating agents to bind iron ion if $Fe^{2+}$ ion exist in oil emulsion. The content of $Fe^{2+}$ ion and total iron in CPNP were higher than those of HPNP and FPN. The content of ascorbic acid of FPN showed the highest (87.77 ppm) among several pine needle extracts. Electron donating ability of HPNP and CPNP were 81% and 78%, respectively, which were showed higher content than those of FPN. The SOD-like activity of HPNP showed 44.30%, compared to other pine needle extracts which means the most strong antioxidant reaction. The nitrite scavenging effects were tended to be different, depending on pH value as pH value was increased. Especially, they didn't show the nitrite scavenging effect in pH6.0.

Regeneration of Spent Nickel Catalyst for Hydrogenation (수소화 반응용 니켈 폐촉매의 재생)

  • Nickel oxide was recovered through roasting of a spent catalyst for hydrogenation reaction. Nickel on Kieselguhr catalysts were prepared by a precipitation method after a treatment of the recovered-nickel oxide with an acid. Effects of roasting temperature of the spent catalyst on recovery of nickel oxide was investigated. Most of nickel oxide could be recovered through roasting of the spent catalyst at $1000^{\circ}C$. In regeneration of catalysts by the precipitation method after the treatment of nickel oxide with an acid, the effect of promoter, precipitation condition and reduction condition on catalytic performance in vegetable oil hydrogenation were investigated. The addition of CaO or $Ce_2$$O_3$ resulted in an increase of catalytic activity.

  • 가시광선영역에서 매우 균일한 높은 투과성뿐만 아니라 근적외선영역에서 가파른 홉수성 엣지와 함께 낮은 투과율을 제공하는 산화구리(II)를 함유하는 포스페이트 유리는 컬러 비디오 카메라의 컬러 보정 필터, 발광 컬러 디스플레이용 보호판(sheild), 모노크로메이터의 미광 필터, 플라스틱 복합재 필터의 무기 성분 및 CCD(전하 결합 소자) 및 CMOS(상보성 금속 산화물 반도체) 카메라 및 검출기 분야용 필터 유리로서 사용된다. 용융온도 및 산화구리(II) 첨가량에 따른 투과율을 측정하기 위해 포스페이트 유리 시료를 $1100\sim1500^{\circ}C$ 용융한 후 $400^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안 어닐링 공정을 거쳐 제조하였다. 제조된 시료는 두께 0.3mm로 폴리싱하여 자외선-적외선 분광 광도기를 이용하여 광학적 특성을 측정하였다. 본 실험을 통하여 용융온도에 따라 가시광선영역 및 근적외선영역에서의 투과율 거동을 비교한 결과 $1100\sim1200^{\circ}C$에서의 우수한 투과율 특성을 나타냈다. 용융온도가 내려감에 따른 가시광선영역 (400~600nm)에서 높은 투과율 및 근적외선영역 (750~1100nm)에서 낮은 투과율과 가파른 흡수성 엣지를 나타냈다.

  • 산화아연 (ZnO)으로 대표되는 산화물반도체는 최근 다양한 비정질 산화물반도체들이 개발되고 있고 높은 이동도와 저온공정 등의 장점으로, 실리콘 기반 박막소자 (비정질-Si, 또는 다결정-Si(LTPS) 트랜지스터)를 대체할 차세대 박막 트랜지스터 (Thin-Film Transistor)의 핵심소재로 관심을 모으고 있다. 또한, 산화물 반도체는 근본적으로 투명하므로, 투명 전극 및 투명 기판재료와 함께 투명 디스플레이도 구현시킬 수 있을 것이다. 그렇지만, 핵심 전자소재로서 향후 디스플레이 및 디바이스에 성공적으로 적용되기 위해서는 소자의 특성 뿐만아니라, 전기적 신뢰성(reliability)을 강화시킬 필요가 있다. 본 발표에서는 In-Ga-Zn-oxide (IGZO), Zn-Sn-oxide (ZTO), Zn-In-Sn-oxide (ZITO) 및 도핑원소를 첨가한 소재에 이르기까지 다양한 산화물 반도체 소재 기술과 소자의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 기술 등을 소개할 것이다.
