  • In the rapidly aging society, the number of wheelchair users is increasing steadily. On the other hand, it is almost impossible for a disabled person using a wheelchair to use express buses. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an express bus that can secure the rights of wheelchair users. For these special types of express buses, it is required to develop a special entrance and lift system. The development of a wheelchair entrance system for the express buses requires design modification, retrofit, and reinforcement of the bus frame. This study evaluated the structural integrity of an entrance system for wheelchair users using a finite element method. Torsional stiffness and modal analysis were performed through structural analysis. Through sensitivity analysis, optimization was performed to reduce the weight of the frame. These results on the wheelchair entrance system are expected to be utilized in the vehicle modification and welfare industries.

  • The Ministry of Education (2015) announced the "2015 Revised Curriculum for Elementary and Secondary Schools" and announced that SW (Software) training for elementary and junior high school students to develop Computational Thinking will be gradually introduced from 2018. In addition, 'problem solving' and 'programming' have become important areas. Furthermore, the ability to analyze and utilize big data is becoming more emphasized. We developed and applied the statistical - Python programming convergence curriculum based on the idea that convergence education combining information and mathematics, programming and statistical literacy is needed according to current trends. Before and after the experiment, problem solving ability test and programming / mathematical interest test were conducted and compared with the corresponding sample t-test. According to the analysis results, there were significant differences in the pre- and post-test on problem solving ability, programming interest and mathematical interest at the significance level of 0.05.

  • The Government R&D budget for 2019 exceeded 20 trillion won in order to develop future growth market such as basic research investment and creation of growth engine. As such, the importance of R&D investment is increasing, and various schemes for enforcing efficient and transparent business expenses are being expanded. However, research expenses (Charge ratio) such as fraudulent execution of funds are continuously being generated, and a system of imposition of sanctions is being introduced. In this paper, the legal grounds of sanctions, comparative review of laws and regulations between the ministries, and the criteria of imposition (imputation) were analyzed. In addition, since the amendment of the standard for imposing the intergovernmental surcharges, a single standard has been applied, and the transition process of the surcharging system has been reviewed. As a result of the data analysis, it was found that they focused on micro - utility activities and suggested new policy measures corresponding to them. • This research explains a new process in architecture frameworks. A complete analysis on implementation of the specific frameworks can be conducted by a special system. Moreover, the system can be installed anywhere, and it produces a unique result, which is customized based on the contents of architectural designs by users. Before using the system, an architect should think about the design and the process of constructing frameworks because a computer sometimes computes misleading results although the architect describes architectural structures, which the designer wants. If the architect inputs the same process into the computer, and the result of frameworks changes, it is not a proper architectural design. Hence, a tool, which precisely treats data, is needed. Therefore, when constructing the proper architecture, a new paradigm of architecture should be used to distinguish the issues of discussion by using various data. Also, based on this information, an apartment housing complex design, related to possible parameters, which can be expressed by combining various fusion tables and geocloud, and architectural designs, is proposed.

  • The effects of P2O5-doped on the surface of MgO particles on hydrolysis, water repellency, and insulation behavior were investigated. P2O5-doped MgO has exhibited a unique electrical property, which is significant insulation behavior due to both the suppression of the hydrolysis reaction by P2O5 and water repellency. Therefore, the insulation behavior was inversely proportional to the hydrophilicity and the Mg(OH)2 and OH-charge transfer ratio by the surface hydration reaction of MgO. The insulation of MgO according to aging was strongly influenced by the surface hydration reaction, the band gap of the added dopant species, and the hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of the dopant. Finally, it was to show electrical insulation by inhibiting the surface hydration reaction of the hydrophilic MgO, which has a great potential for use in heat transfer medium applications.

  • The horizontal force transfer to the turbine and substructure of a wind power generation system is a very important factor in maintaining the safety of the system, but it is inevitably vulnerable to large-scale coastal disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. Wind power generation systems built on the coast or far offshore are very disadvantageous in terms of economic feasibility due to an increase in initial investment cost because a more robust design is required when installed in areas vulnerable to coastal disasters. In this study, the GIS method was used to select the optimal site for a wind farm from the viewpoint of reducing the risk of coastal disasters. The current status of earthquakes in the West and South Seas of Korea, and the path and intensity of typhoons affecting or passing through the West and South Seas were also analyzed. Accordingly, the optimal offshore wind farm site with the lowest risk of coastal disasters has been selected and will be used as basic research data for offshore wind power projects in the region in the future.

  • This study aims to prevent the leakage of research and development results in universities and strengthen their research security systems. To achieve this, we surveyed research security managers at universities in Busan and Gyeongnam on their perceptions and needs, and proposed policy measures to promote research security. The results suggest that policies such as training of specialized personnel in research security, establishing a dedicated research security organization, mandatory education programs, and expanding government support are needed to activate research security in universities. However, the study has limitations due to the small sample size and limited scope to universities in Busan and Gyeongnam. Therefore, further research is needed to expand the scope and improve the research security system.

  • This study covers the effectiveness of SNS utilization education for the elderly. Participants in the study conducted in-depth interviews with trainees currently participating in education and mentors of the same age who are working as assistive instructors. The study deals with whether SNS utilization education, which is considered difficult, can be a more valid class when an elderly person of the same age becomes a mentor and teaches a class. The results of the study said that it was a fun and rewarding education after using SNS for the elderly, free from fear of difficult devices due to the friendly consideration and empathy of the same age. If a mentor of the same age is used for education on SNS for the elderly, SNS education, which has been considered difficult and burdensome for the elderly, is expected to be activated with more flexible education.
