In this study, the performance of underground water pipeline system affected by earthquakes is examined by using data acquired after MW 6.2 February 22, 2011 earthquake in Christchurch, NZ. Water pipeline repair rates, expressed as repairs/km, for different types of pipe are evaluated inside the areas of which liquefaction induced by permanent ground deformation was observed and assessed relative to differential settlement and lateral ground strain, calculated from high resolution LiDAR data acquired before and after each seismic event. The earthquake performance of underground water pipeline systems associated with permanent ground deformation is summarized in this paper. The results show that highly ductile polyethylene water pipelines has a high earthquake performance.

The demand for improved rail transportation safety is growing due to the increased speeds of current railways. In addition, freight trains with heavier axle loads are required to run on conventional railways. In order to meet these requirements, increased rail weights and the application of a CWR system have been introduced on conventional railways. The H type sleeper, which has higher lateral resistance than the existing mono sleepers, has been recently developed to increase track stiffness and reduce track irregularities. In this paper, the effects of a H-type sleeper on track behavior were investigated by 3-Dimensional F.E. analysis.

There has been steady effect for the development of the electron-beam lithography technologies for the circuit patterning of the future semiconductor devices. In this study, we have performed a Monte-Carlo simulation whore $1{\times}10^4$ electrons with various kinetic energies (100eV, 300eV, 500eV, 700eV, and 1000eV) were shot into polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) resist of 100-nm thickness. The penetration depth of each electron beam in the resist layer were analyzed using Gaussian analysis method.

The lacks of reference have been a major difficulty of the studies on official facilities of local cities in Joseon Dynasty especially for the restoration and utilization of those. In this regard the diaries which were wrote by local governors can be good data. Total 56 kinds of diaries was collected through the result of careful study and research. Such diaries were classified by their characters and were investigated to find out the practical use aspects of official facilities of local cities. Lastly the advantages and inherent limits of investigation of diaries were described.

The RFID market seems to grow mostly in the logistics and distribution areas. The areas and small sized work places requires multi-steps based system. In the environment, the performance of RFID READER is the most important factor. If RFID READER fails to operate frequency well, it will be difficult to apply RFID technology to work places and manage multi-readers used in a narrow place. This work reveals that making possible multiple readers environment and reporting the state of the entire upgrade are of significant in terms of the system's functions. This thesis studied RFID reader platform with self-diagnosis function.

Mobile IPv6 generates the loss of packets and out of sequencing when hand off, In this paper, We propose a improved hand off techniques using the mobility pattern of mobile nodes. As making group by presetting the moving range of mobile nodes, and putting buffer server in the group, the packet loss and out of packet sequence can be reduced. The proposed method prevents the out of packet sequence in If level which can be happened in the stable state, minimizes the packet re-send in TCP level. In the simulation, the proposed hand off techniques transmits packets efficiently by using the mobility pattern of mobile nodes.

The purpose of this study is to analyze storytelling factors and mathematics contents of 'Eddy, the clever fox' on TV animation. The scenario and animation were analyzed according as criterion based on relevant materials. The results are as follows: First, Characters are 11 animals, Eddy is a problem solver. An ordinary story happens in the snow-covered woodland village. There is no story plot. And the story consists dialogue, song and narration. Second, mathematics contents in the animation appear in order number sense, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability, pattern. So 'Eddy, the clever fox' is valuable as edutainment.

병원 전 단계에서는 일반인 단계, 일차 반응자 단계, 기초응급의료 제공 단계 그리고 전문응급의료 제공단계로 구분되는데 각 단계의 적절한 병원 전 응급의료 서비스의 제공은 환자의 예후에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 국내의 일반인 단계 및 일차 반응자 단계의 응급의료 제공은 매우 낮은수준이며, 응급의료체계는 전문 응급의료가 뒤따르지 않는 기초 응급의료만을 제공할 뿐인데도 그 적절성에 대하여 많은 문제점이 지적되어 오고 있다. 우리나라의 병원 전 응급의료체계는 비교적 짧은 기간 동안에 소방서를 축으로 운영되고 있다. 병원 전 단계에서 응급처치의 적절성을 높이기 위해서는 119구급대에 의한 응급처치에 대하여 체계적으로 조사를 수행함으로써 기초 응급의료에 대한 지속적인 질 관리를 해 나가는 것이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 질 관리의 평가를 위해서는 적절한 평가도구가 필요한데 객관성이 높으면서도 비용-효과적인 도구와 지표는 아직 확립되지 못하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 그동안 119 구급대에 의한 응급처치의 적절성에 대하여 몇 차례 보고가 있었지만, 단일 기관 또는 단일 질병을 대상으로 수행된 연구였거나 일개 응급의료기관으로 이송된 환자들만을 대상으로 했던 비교적 소규모의 보고들이었으며, 한 도시를 전체를 대상으로 한 광범위한 조사가 이루어진 적은 아직 없었다. 이에 이 연구에서는 대구 경북 지역의 119구급대원을 대상으로 병원 전 응급처치의 실태와 및 교육현황을 조사하여 응급처치의 질적 향상을 위한 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

인간의 능력 중 가장 주목할 만한 것은 언어를 습득하고 그것을 이용하여 서로 의사소통을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 모든 언어에는 그 언어만이 가지는 특수성뿐만 아니라 공통적으로 존재하는 보편적인 특성이 있다. 이것 외에도 언어 위에 입혀지는 사람의 목소리는 의사소통을 하는데 있어 상대의 심리를 파악하는 중요한 단서가 된다. 특히, 언어는 습득되어져야 활용되고 그 습득되어지는 환경에 영향을 받으며 이러한 환경에 따라 사람의 목소리, 억양 등이 변화하게 되는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 음성신호 분석 기법을 적용하여 장르별 영화시청에 따른 시각적, 청각적 요인이 목소리에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 장르별 영화를 시청한 후 성대 진동 및 음성에너지의 크기 변화를 측정하여 감정변화를 분석하는 실험을 수행하였다.
