This study was carried out to analyze different types of information services to industries, provided by the Technical Information Department of government-supported research institutes. Today, demands on information of new technology have been rapidly increased with the expansion of information mind in enterprises. Managers, specially in profit organizations, are hunting for the technological information since they recognize that acquisition of information is directly connected with the success of business and technological innovation. However, it is not easy for them to get appropriate information due to such factors as competition, information blocking among profit organizations, shortage of holding library, etc. The roles of SciTech libraries can be divided into two parts; the first one is to promote information exchange among organizations, and the second one to supply users with proper information, processed and analyzed by the specialists. In this study, fifteen Technical Information Department of government-supported research institutes are surveyed to investigate their information services to industries. The results of survey show that their services are not enough to support industries successfully.

In this paper, to solve the imbalance between the skill factors demanded by the industry and the curriculum of the universities, demand-oriented educational contents are developed in the computer-software field. In the field, five tracks are selected: Software Development, System Integration, Embedded System Software, Multimedia and Game Software, and Business Information Technology. In each track, a curriculum with four demand-oriented courses is developed to reflect the demands of the IT industry. Detailed syllabuses and course materials are developed as well. Applying these artifacts, lectures have been performed at universities since 2004.

With increasing interest in information security, many studies have been conducted on cultivation and management of information security manpower. The widespread application of information security made the activity of information security professionals more diverse. Therefore, it is essential to analyze the knowledge and skills that are necessary for information security professionals to carry out their job and we also need to take these into considerations for the development and operation of education programs. In this study, for analyzing the perception gaps of information security knowledge and skills level between academia and industry, we have derived 58 knowledge and skills by conducting the literature review and Delphi method and we also conducted a survey of information security knowledge and skills requirements for information security professionals who are now working in industries and educational organizations. As a result, we analyze the perception gaps between two groups of information security professionals and suggest some guidelines for establishing the demand-based curriculum for training information security professionals.

This study analyzed the results and implications of the industry-university cooperation human resource nurturing process based on the I-O model for the Motion Graphics major and the Global Hotelier major in Baek seok University. In this study, based on the analysis of the human resources training performance through industry-university cooperation in the motion graphics and hotelier fields for 5 years, what kind of efforts were made for successful human resource training, and the level of performance was analyzed and improvement points were suggested. In this study, four strategies were set for successful industry-university-tailored human resource nurturing: student-industry matching through industry participation in education, industry-university integrated education, education quality advancement, and customized education infrastructure construction. As a result of the analysis, customized human resource training should first be developed through industry demand survey and a mirror-type practice room should be built to fit the corporate environment. Second, it was found that it is possible to be individual only if there is an active participation of industry experts throughout the curriculum such as subjects and non-subjects.

최근 인터넷의 확장과 스마트폰의 보급으로 유무선을 통한 인터넷 접속 수요가 현격히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. IEEE 802 표준은 급변하는 정보통신 표준화 기술을 반영하여 산업체들에게 중요한 정보를 제공하는 표준 규격 중의 하나이다. 본고에서는 IEEE 802표준 개요 및 조직 구성에 대해 제시한다. 또한, 표준 추진 절차 및 체계에 대해 알아보고 각 워킹 그룹 별로 진행되는 주요 표준 동향에 대해 분석 후에 추후 5G 와 연관된 IEEE의 대응 전략 및 추진 방향 등에 대해 알아 본다.

20세기에 들어와 전력수요가 증가함에 따라 송전전압의 상승이 요구되어 EHV 송전계통의 설치가 시급하게 되었고 아울러 고전압 기술이 급속도로 성장함에 따라, 전문가들이 서로 모여서 발생되는 문제점과 엔지니어링 경험을 서로 교환해야할 필요성이 요구되어 1921년에 CIGRE가 창설되었다. CIGRE는 현재 약70여개의 참가회원국을 갖고 있으며, 국내위원회를 조직하여 적극적으로 활동하고 있는 나라는 45개국에 이르고 있다. 우리나라에서는 중전기 분야의 산업체가 성장함에 따라 1980년에 CIGRE국내위원회가 조직되었다. 먼저 CIGRE의 성격과 기능에 대해 설명을 한뒤, 한국 국내 위원회의 발전사항에 대해서도 간략하게 기술하였다.

증가하는 인터넷 해킹사고와 전자정부의 확산 등으로 정보보호에 대한 필요성이 증대하고 있으며, 산업체 또는 정부에서 정보보호를 담당하는 인력의 수요가 필요하다. 본고에서는 정보보호 인력 양성의 방법으로 정보보호 관련 정규과정에 의한 방법이 아닌 정보보호 자격 검정에 의한 방안을 다룬다. 국외의 공인정보시스템보안전문가(CISSP), 공인정보시스템 감사사(CISA) 및 국내의 정보보호전문가(SIS) 등 국내외 3개의 정보보호 자격에 대한 비교연구를 통하여 정보보호전문가 자격제도의 발전 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

「정밀광학렌즈 및 광학박막기술 전문인력양성사업」의 일환으로 한국광학기기협회에서 지난 1월부터 2월까지 2개월간 전국 광학 관련 산업체 종사자 및 전 공자 700여명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, 우리나라 광학산업과 기술인력 동향 및 전망 등을 파악해보았다. 본 고에서는 이번 설문조사 내용이 국내 광학산업 동향에 대한 올바른 기본 자료로 활용되고 더 나아가 중·장기 광학산업정책수립에 합리적인 지표로 제시될 수 있기를 기대하며 일부 내용을 발췌, 소개한다.

3D 기술은 차세대 입체멀티미디어 정보통신서비스의 총아로 각광받고 있으며 기술개발 경쟁이 치열한 첨단고도화 기술이다. 현재 3D 기술이 확대되면서 이에 대한 관련 산업체들의 욕구도 점점 증가하고 있다. 최근에는 3D 게임을 비롯한 소프트웨어 시장을 중심으로 의료, 보안, 광고, 방송 등에 대한 기업체의 참여와 더불어 폭발적인 시장이 형성되고 있는 추세이다. 향후 3DTV를 비롯해 정보통신, 방송, 의료, 영화, 게임, 애니메이션 등과 같은 기존의 모든 산업제품 개발에 응용되는 핵심 기술로 자리매김할 전망이다. 특히 2010년 남아공 월드컵의 3D 방송으로 더욱더 많은 수요가 예상되고 있다. 방송통신위에 따르면, 3D 디스플레이 시장은 약 $160(M) 에서 2012년 $27,700(M)로 급성장할 것으로 보인다.

우리나라는 석유가 나지 않는 비산유국으로서 거의 모든 에너지 자원을 막대한 외화를 지급하여 수입하고 있는 실정이다. 이렇게 수입되는 에너지원중에서 대기 오염 등의 환경문제가 대두되면서 액화 천연가스가 청정에너지로 두각을 나타내게 되었으며, 국내에서는 도시가스로 보급되어 수요가 점차적으로 계속 증가하고 있는 추세이다 기체상태로 기화된 천연가스는 일반 가정이나 산업체에 관로(pipe line)를 통하여 공급되는데, 이들 가스배관은 대부분 지하에 일정한 깊이로 매몰되어 설치된다.(중략)
