The Analysis of Efficient Disk Buffer Management Policies to Develop Undesignated Cultural Heritage Management and Real-time Theft Chase (실시간 비지정 문화재 관리 및 도난 추적 시스템 개발을 위한 효율적인 디스크 버퍼 관리 정책 분석)

  • In this paper, we present a system for undesignated cultural heritage management and real-time theft chase, which uses flash-based large-capacity storage. The proposed system is composed of 3 parts, such as a cultural management device, a flash-based server, and a monitoring service for managing cultural heritages and chasing thefts using IoT technologies. However flash-based storage needs methods to overcome the limited lifespan. Therefore, in this paper, we present a system, which uses the disk buffer in flash-based storage to overcome the disadvantage, and evaluate the system performance in various environments. In our experiments, LRU policy shows the number of direct writes in the flash-based storage by 10.7% on average compared with CLOCK and FCFS.

  • Recently, digitizing technologies for conservation and restoration of tangible intangible cultural properties are coming into spotlight. Because cultural properties are easy to be lost and damaged over the years, After construction of cultural assets database we can reconstruct the cultural asset making use of the reverse engineering when needed, and implement digital contents such as computer graphics, 3D virtural realization, hologram, etc. So in this paper, we scrutinize visual and technical factors occurring in different types of digital restoration of cultural properties, and present problems and improvements, and try to research technological prowess and visual mechanism.

  • Nowadays, the progress of high technology in modern society provides humankind with the opportunity to obtain diverse information easily and quickly. Among those rapidly progressing fields of high technology, digital media field has the ability to substitute for the multimedia information society by being applied to many related fields and daily life. Specifically, the concern and enthusiasm for the restoration of cultural property has risen. So, effective methods are required to decide on the preservation, restoration and academic value of cultural property. Among these, image processing technology using computers has been introduced. The restoration of cultural property using this technique has been studied vigorously in many advanced countries because this would allow us to restore damaged parts without destroying the original asset. However, in Korea, though we have numerous examples of cultural property with recorded history, research related to the items has scarcely been conducted. Accordingly, this study focuses on the investigation of virtual reality and the techniques applicable to restoring cultural property in addition to suggesting the significance and possibility of digitally restoring cultural property following the introduction of applicable examples both domestically and abroad.

  • Recently, culture technology (CT), which combines cultural contents and IT technology, is being watched as a new growth engine, and IT technology is actively utilized in preserving, inheriting and utilizing cultural heritage. For this, new areas of convergence of IT technology and cultural heritage are attracting attention. In particular, virtual reality is a representative area of IT convergence in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Although some studies have been conducted to utilize virtual reality technology to preserve and inform cultural heritage, it is mainly limited to tangible cultural properties. In this study, we propose a methodology to develop contents of intangible cultural heritage using virtual reality technology in intangible cultural properties. To do this, we classify the types of intangible cultural properties to apply the technology to each type of intangible cultural property. Next, virtual reality, augmented reality, and $360^{\circ}VR$ video technology are applied to the intangible cultural properties classified.

낙동강권역의 문화관광자원 분포 특성에 관한 연구

  • 우리나라 4대 강 중에서 낙동강 권역은 관광자원 측면에서 볼 때 다양한 관광자원을 보유하고 있음에도 불구하고, 기존 연구는 수자원의 산업적 이용과 상수원 확보 차원에서 수질보전과 유지에 대한 환경학적 연구가 주종을 이루었다. 따라서 본 연구는 문화관광학적 관점에서 낙동강 권역을 조명하고 문화재의 분포특성을 분석하였으며, 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 지방분권시대의 도래를 앞두고 낙동강 권역의 협치(governance)에 의거 연구대상 범위를 낙동강유역환경청과 대구지방환경청의 관할구역에 따라 연구범위를 설정하였다. 둘째, 본 연구분석 대상으로 문화관광자원 중 국가지정문화재 시도지저문화재 문화재자료 등 문화재 등을 대상으로 하였다. 셋째, 문화관광자원의 지리적 분포는 다음과 같은 특성을 나타내었다. 관할구역에 따른 문화관광자원의 분포는 대구지방환경청이 낙동강유역환경청보다 양적 우세성을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 수중 문화재를 주제로 오감 인터랙션을 활용한 디지로그 전시 기법을 연구한다. 영상을 활용한 디지털미디어가 중심인 기존의 전시 기법에 시각, 청각, 촉각과 같은 다양한 감각기관을 활용한 인터랙션을 추가함으로써 관람객에게 새로운 경험을 제공하고자 한다. 프로젝션 매핑, 증강현실과 같은 디지털 기술과 난파선과 자갈, 실물 크기의 모형 유물과 같은 아날로그를 결합하여 관람객에게 실재감을 주어 효과적인 몰입감(flow)을 유도하고자 한다.

  • While the cultural contents industry plays main role in global contents market recently, the market of Buddhist cultural property contents is still in insufficient state. Specially, despite most cultural properties is Buddhist cultural property in Korea, there is a lot of difficult problems in preserving, restoring and designing its prototype as cultural property. So, this research intends to contribute to the development of Buddhist design and Buddhist culture contents by developing the Pagoda Dharani contents using the Ten-storied Stone Pagoda on the Site of Wongaksa. The first thing is designing the Pagoda Dharani using the Ten-storied Stone Pagoda on the Site of Wongaksa. Also, using the Pagoda Dharani, we design and implement the Pagoda Dharani contents on the web. In this paper, by using the proposed the Pagoda Dharani contents, the previous activation problem of the Buddhist culture contents can be resolved.

  • Industrial/Technological Cultural Properties are closely related to contemporary life, and have played the dominant role as a bridge between the traditional architectural buildings and contemporary architectural buildings, reflecting the overall economical, social and cultural portraits of that time. Nowadays, due to various sprawling developments and new development-oriented urban policies, only a select few Industrial/Technological Cultural Properties are being protected, the rest facing with demolition and damages. In order to better cope with such situation, Korea has officially introduced the Registered Cultural Properties System since 2001, and began acknowledging the historical values of industrial buildings as modem cultural properties. Under this circumstances, purpose of this study is to analyze main project plans of each facility in Abanoned Nordstern Mine Gelsenkirchen in the state of Nordhein-Westfalen, that have been preserved and recycled as office spaces. and to bring out the main features of the plans, so that they can be utilized to find suggestions for Industrial /Technological Cultural Properties Revitalization.

Classification Analysis for the Prediction of Underground Cultural Assets (매장문화재 예측을 위한 통계적 분류 분석)

  • Various statistical classification methods have been used to establish prediction model of underground cultural assets in our country. Among them, linear discriminant analysis, logistic regression, decision tree, neural network, and support vector machines are used in this paper. We introduced the basic concepts of above-mentioned classification methods and applied these to the analyses of real data of I city. As a results, five different prediction models are suggested. And also model comparisons are executed by suggesting correct classification rates of the fitted models. To see the applicability of the suggested models for a new data set, simulations are carried out. R packages and programs are used in real data analyses and simulations. Especially, the detailed executing processes by R are provided for the other analyser of related area.
