Current global construction market has grown at a dramatic expansion rate every year in connection with more market accessibility by foreign contractors. The market openness is largely due to globalization of world construction markets, rapid development of world-wide telecommunication technologies, the formation of collaborative acquisitions and joint ventures among contractors, development of regional Free Trade Blocks, and just name a few. This paper focuses on the formation of collaborative networks when expanding into new foreign markets. The social network analysis (SNA) is introduced to investigate a variety of the collaboration patterns and also their impacts on the performance. To this end, the collaboration cases of 600 international construction projects performed by Korean contractors since 1990 were collected and classified into firm's size, project types, collaboration modes, and performance levels using social network analysis. The results showed a direction in establishing business strategy associated with experienced or inexperienced contractors in international construction projects.

We analyzed romance of the three kingdoms written by Luo Guanzhong by using complex network to compare its properties with those of social network. The three kingdom network has a scale free and hierarchical network properties. Human-human interaction networks are dramatically changing in response to time and space. Due to lack of the dynamic interacting data, the researches only focus to analysis for properties of the statical networks. The romance of the three kingdoms is a Chinese historical novel based upon events from the end of the Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms era of China, and the reunification of the land. There are over a thousand characters, over a three thousand human-human interactions, and the dynamic changed in human-human interactions in the historical novel. Here, we introduce that a possible method for analyzing about dynamic changing of the complex network.

The purpose of this study is to identify the social perception characteristics of young children with disabilities over the past decade. For this purpose, Textom, an Internet-based big data analysis system was used to collect data related to young children with disabilities posted on social media. 50 keywords were selected in the order of high frequency through the data cleaning process. For semantic network analysis, centrality analysis and CONCOR analysis were performed with UCINET6, and the analyzed data were visualized using NetDraw. As a result, the keywords such as 'education, needs, parents, and inclusion' ranked high in frequency, degree, and eigenvector centrality. In addition, the keywords of 'parent, teacher, problem, program, and counseling' ranked high in betweenness centrality. In CONCOR analysis, four clusters were formed centered on the keywords of 'disabilities, young child, diagnosis, and programs'. Based on these research results, the topics on social perception of young children with disabilities were investigated, and implications for each topic were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there was a difference between men and women in conceptualizing a calling in childrearing through social network analysis. The results are as follows. IAs a result of the study, it was found that mothers showed significantly larger networks and higher density than fathers did, indicating that mothers, more than fathers do, experience parenting and child-rearing based more on a concept of calling in childrearing. Parents directly linked responsibility, children's growth, direction, commitment, and parental character to a calling in childrearing. In addition, mothers also linked a sense of identity and parental growth to it. In the case of fathers, only four concepts were directly connected with a calling in childrearing. This shows that mothers, in comparison to fathers, connect essential self-concepts, such as identity as a parent and themes of growth, to a calling in childrearing. In centrality, similar concepts also were evaluated as important. The common parental closeness centrality is composed of responsibility, child growth, direction, and belief starting from the center. In the case of fathers, child growth, responsibility, and belief were evaluated in order, and in the case of mothers, responsibility, parental growth, and identity were evaluated as relatively important concepts.

This exploratory study analyzed the structure of collaborative network among small libraries. The survey was conducted with the small libraries in Bucheon region. In order to analyze the structural features of the network, this study used social network analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that public small libraries has high density networks with other small libraries and performed a central role in the whole network. Private small libraries were, however, isolated in the whole network indicating their weak collaboration with other small libraries.

본 연구는 사행산업의 분야인 복권, 체육진흥투표권, 경마, 카지노에 대해 언론에서는 어떻게 다루어지고 있는지를 1990년부터 2015년까지의 뉴스데이터를 빅데이터 분석 방법 중 테스트의 의미연결망 분석을 통해 밝혀보고자 하는 연구이다. 이 논문은 의미망 분석을 통해 기사의 빈도와 연결성을 프레이밍과 시민관심 정도로 재조명 하여 기사에 대한 언론보도자의 의도와 시민의 인식차이를 밝혔고, 이를 통해 정책적 특성과 개혁과제를 탐색하였다. 분석결과 복권의 경우 당첨번호, 당첨금, 조작의혹 등 당첨에 대한 부분이 주제인 '사회문제' 형태였으며, 체육진흥투표권의 경우에는 사업입찰, 불법사이트, 발매대상 등 주로 사업추진과 불법사이트에 대한 '의무정보' 종류였고, 경마의 경우 사업장, 홍보, 기사 등으로 사업홍보나 광고 관련 뉴스이었고, 마지막으로 카지노의 경우에는 불법, 도박장, 외국인 등 '주요정보'에 해당하는 논문이었다. 시대에 따라 1990년대에는 카지노, 2000년대에는 복권, 2010년대에는 경마에 대한 기사보도가 많아졌으며, 이에 대한 시민의 반응도 사업비리, 당첨, 시민운동 등의 차이가 있었다. 마지막으로 기사의 빈도와 연결성이 나타내는 프레이밍 정도와 시민의 관심은 '1. 홍보광고, 2. 의무정보, 3. 사회이슈, 4. 주요정보' 네 가지로 구분되었으며 이 중 사고, 비리 등 주요기사로 구분되는 사회문제가 주요 공공의제로 형성되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Objective : This study investigated the effects of depression on online and offline social interactions among middle-aged and older adults with the aim of enhancing their social connectivity and mental well-being. Methods : Utilizing the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and the Lubben Social Network Scale-6, this study assessed depression and social relationships in 429 middle-aged adults. We explored the mediation effects of offline relationships on online interactions using path analysis and the Sobel test. Results : Significant links were found between depression and social relationships in a cohort of educated males averaging 63 years of age. Offline interactions mediated 32% of the influence of depression on online relationships, with strong model fit indices emphasizing the importance of offline social interactions. Conclusion : This study highlights the role of active engagement in online and offline networks in improving mental health and managing the impact of depression on social activity among older adults, helping prevent isolation.

What is a disaster? And what can science and technology studies tell us about it? There might be numerous definitions about disaster. In this article, we will posit that disaster is an incident when sociotechnical system actor-network broke down against the other force in their "trial of strength". This is a process that punctualized actor-network is depunctualized, and a status that readiness-to-hand of Being recedes while pesentness-at-hand of tool-being comes forward. Using the concept of disaster as a case study, we will consider how Latourian ontology overlaps with Heideggerian philosophy of technology. This STS approach which hasn't been previously studied might provide us with new theoretical framework that enables us to construe the assemblage of technoscience and nature-society in the field of PUS or NPSS.

Domestic risk factors that are thought to be correlated with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak are migratory birds and moving objects such as poultry farm vehicles. In particular, the commercial vehicles that routinely circulate the local and/or remote poultry farms produce are thought to be major HPAI risk factors in South Korea. In this study, the driving histories of the vehicles belonging to poultry farms and/or commercial companies registered in the Korea Animal Integrated System (KAHIS) were analyzed using statistical and social networking tools in a Geographic Information System (GIS) in order to understand the pattern of the HPAI (H5N8) outbreak that occurred in 2014 in South Korea. Based on the 2014 HPAI outbreak patterns, HPAI-infected poultry farms were categorized according to geological features. The HPAI-infected poultry farms were categorized as 'regional-accumulation', 'regional-distribution', 'metropolitan-accumulation', 'metropolitan-distribution' and 'national-distribution' in endemic or non-endemic regions. We were able to categorize most HPAI-infected poultry farms into the five proposed categories, but further studies are required to categorize all such farms. Based on this categorization system, we propose efficient but economical prevention boundaries in South Korea. We strongly believe that our research could hugely impact government decisions to estimate the prevention area.

본 논문에서 제안하는 음주로 인한 사회 연결망 와해 방지를 위한 스마트 애플리케이션 '나 취했니?'는 과도한 음주 후 스마트폰 사용시 발생할 수 있는 사용자의 의도치 않은 실수를 예방하는 것을 목표로 한다. 가속도 변화, 터치 속도 및 오타 수 확인, 심박수 변화 등을 통하여 사용자의 데이터를 얻고 기계학습을 통해 사용자의 음주 여부를 판단한다. 이때, 음주를 한 것으로 판단되면 사용자가 설정해 두었던 애플리케이션들의 사용을 제한하게 된다. 또한 애플리케이션에 사용자가 음주를 한 날짜를 체크하는 자가진단 서비스 및 음주를 한 것으로 확인된 직후 GPS 를 이용해 사용자의 위치 및 이동 경로를 기록하여 스마트폰 내의 사고 뿐만 아니라 외부적인 사고에도 도움을 줄 수 있도록 구현하였다.
