The Effect of Network Closure and Structural Hole in Technological Knowledge Exchange on Radical Innovation (기술지식 교류 네트워크의 네트워크 폐쇄와 구조적 공백이 급진적 혁신에 미치는 영향)

  • This study empirically test the roles of network closure and structural hole on radical innovation in technological knowledge exchange network in Gumi cluster. In doing so, we build 2,550 firm network, transforming association*firm(2-mode) to firm*firm(1-mode) network data. In addition, in order to investigate firms' attributes, we conduct survey for 101 firms in Gumi cluster using random sampling, and finally collect 86 firm samples. For analysis, we use ridge regression since network density and efficiency, indices of network closure and structural hole respectively, has a high level of multicollinearity. The findings show that structural hole has a significant and positive impact on radical innovation, but network closure has a significant and negative impact on radical innovation. This study contributes to present an empirical evidence of debate on network closure and structural hole based on past conceptual discussions and literature review and further goes a long way towards strategy formulation to establish social capital in accomplishing radical innovation. Further research is required that pays closer attention to features of technological knowledge, innovation types and interaction between network closure and structural hole, directing efforts to structural characteristics of various networks.

  • Concerning the circumstance of corporate management, which is the appearance of various stakeholder and the possibility of widespread in irresponsible rumours, the objective rating a company in more highly emphasized in these time. According to the situation, various measures are being suggested. One of those efforts, environmental, sustainable, or corporate social responsible(CSR) aspects, which are based on the environmental risk reduction capability are regarded as an important component. In this study, we reviewed the CSR, which is most important Survival factor to the KEPCO's sustainability and some issues are suggested to maximize the KEPCO's corporate value.

  • 20세기말 우리 사회에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것은 바로 컴퓨터이다. 그래서 컴퓨터가 미래를 열어준다는 말까지 생겨났다. 진공관을 이용한 최초의 컴퓨터인 에니악(ANIAC)의 탄생 이후 멀티미디어로서의 수단 뿐만 아니라 광통신이나 인공위성을 이용한 초고속정보의 교류가 일반화되는 경지까지 이르게 한 컴퓨터는 인간의 삶을 보조해주는 가장 강력한 매체로 자리매김하였으며 문화적, 정신적 욕구를 충족시켜주는 역할을 할 것으로 파악된다. 컴퓨터와 전기통신이라는 정보사회의 두 가지 사회적 기술은 C & C(Computer & Communication) 또는 컴퓨티케이션이라는 말로 일컬어지는 통신기술의 디지틀화 및 결합으로 인하여 더욱 강력한 영향력을 발휘하게 되었다. 컴퓨터가 가지고 있는 정보의 처리, 축적, 검색기능이 결합된 정보통신기술은 보다 고도화되고 다양화됨으로써 정보획득과 새로운 정보를 추출하는데 소요되는 시간과 경비를 절약하게 해주어 기업경쟁력 및 개인의 다양한 정보욕구를 충족시키는데 커다란 기여를 하고 있다.

The Moderate Roles of Social Rapport and Friendship in Relationship Marketing (관계마케팅에서 사회적 라포와 프렌드십의 조절적 역할)

  • This paper examine the roles of social rapport and friendship which are the representative variables of strong emotional bonds between customers and firms in service relationship marketing. As results, social rapport and friendship were confirmed as positive moderators between a relational antecedent variable and a relational mediator variable. In other words, emotional bonds, such as social rapport and friendship, stimulated relationship development in service relationship marketing. Meanwhile, customer-firm emotional bonds seemed to be a negative effect on the stage of a relational mediator variable and a relational outcome variable. This meant that relational mediator variable and emotional bond variables(social rapport and friendship) individually had an positive effect on a relational outcome variable. If emotional bonds between customers and firms had already built, they could have positive influence on the relational outcome, regardless of relational mediator variables. Conclusively, firms' relational efforts focus on the building the emotional bonds with customers, not on the process of relational antecedents, mediators, and consequences.

한국기업(韓國企業)의 단기적(短期的) 고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간결정(勤勞時間決定)에 관한 계량분석(計量分析)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 우리나라 기업(企業)에 있어 생산량(生産量)의 변화(變化)와 노동비용구조(勞動費用構造)의 변화(變化)가 어떤 조정과정(調整過程)을 거쳐 고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 영향을 미치는가를 분석(分析)하는 데 그 목적(目的)이 있다. 기업(企業)이 생산요소(生産要素)로서의 노동(勞動)에 대한 수요(需要)를 조정(調整)하는 수단은 크게 고용(雇傭)과 노동시간(勞動時間)으로 나눌 수 있다. 여러 가지 경제(經濟) 사회적(社會的) 요인(要因)으로서의 개별기업(個別企業)의 비용극소화(費用極小化) 전략(戰略)은 사회적(社會的)으로 최적의 고용수준(雇傭水準)을 실현하지 못하고 낮은 고용수준(雇傭水準)과 장시간근로(長時間勤勞)를 초래한다. 노동수요요소(勞動需要要素)(고용(雇傭) 및 근로시간(勤勞時間))간(間)에 대체(代替)가 이루어지는 요인관계(要因關係)를 본고(本稿)에서는 현고용수준(現雇傭水準)과 최적고용수준(最適雇傭水準)과의 과부족이 근로시간(勤勞時間)의 조정을 유발하는 것으로 설정하여 고용수준(雇傭水準)과 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 대한 두 개의 방정식(方程式)을 시계열자료(時系列資料)를 이용하여 추정하였다. 분석결과(分析結果)를 토대로 다음과 같은 정책과제(政策課題)가 제시(提示)된다. 첫째, 기업(企業)이 단기적(短期的) 노동수요조정시(勞動需要調整時) 근로시간(勤勞時間)에 과다하게 의존하는 현상을 일시해고제(一時解雇制)를 도입하여 고용조정(雇傭調整)으로도 분산시켜야 할 것이다. 둘째, 기업(企業)의 노동비용중(勞動費用中) 기본급(基本給)의 비중(比重)을 높여 나갈 수 있도록 유도해야 하며 이를 위해 초과근로(超過勤勞)에 대한 할증임금의 인상도 검토할 만하다.

A Study on ESG Activities of Shipping Companies (해운기업의 ESG 활동에 관한 연구)

  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management may be one of the recent hot topics in corporate management. The purpose of this paper was to study the level of ESG activities of shipping companies. The shipping industry is known to have low transparency and low favorability (Yun, 2022). This study determined whether ESG activities of shipping companies known to the public or studied qualitatively were consistent with objective facts through quantitative analysis. Analysis was conducted on 8,009 firm-year KOSP I listed companies from 2010 to 2022 using ESG ratings evaluated and published by KCGS. As a result of the analysis, it was found that shipping companies had a lower level of ESG activities than non-shipping companies. Although many research studies have been done on companies' ESG activities, research on corporate social responsibility activities and ESG activities of domestic shipping companies is limited. This paper is significant in that it is the first study to quantitatively analyze ESG management status of domestic shipping companies. Shipping companies should make efforts to improve their images, improve their business performances, and increase corporate sustainability by taking the lead in proactive ESG activities rather than performing passive ESG activities due to external regulations such as IMO 2020 and IMO 2050.

  • Recently, our society and environment has changed rapidly due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus. In this rapidly changing environment, companies fulfill their social responsibilities and require non-financial elements of transparent management activities. ESG has become one of the non-financial factors, and interest of ESG management is increasing worldwide. In this paper, we examine the importance of ESG concept and ESG management performance and the correlation with companies, and examine the necessity of ESG management for companies in the future. The literature reviews are conducted on CU which is currently best practicing ESG management through various secondary data. Also, we used interview articles so that reflect the rich voice of the distribution industry. In addition, after examining ESG characteristics through examples of global companies, we looked at BGF Retail's CU convenience store ESG activities, which is a leader in ESG management, in distribution industry. CU was divided into all sectors of E, S, and G, and all sectors were actively engaged in activities and flexibly coping with changing environments and social needs. In particular, it was confirmed that CU's environmental management, which focuses the most, achieved successful results due to the increase in actual consumption of customers. ESG management activities at CU convenience stores are currently ongoing and future tasks. As a leading company in ESG management in the current industry, it is meaningful to understand the process of growing into a company that shares concerns, efforts, and practical activities and fulfills social responsibility. Through this study, the changes and growth of CU and domestic companies to ESG and sustainable management are expected in the futures.
