  • 본 논문에서는 사회복지사의 직무만족과 자기효능감과의 관계에 대한 실증적 탐색을 위한 이론적 배경을 제안한다. 선행 연구들에 의하면 자기효능감이 높은 사람일수록 해당 직무를 적극적으로 선택하고 많은 노력을 경주하고, 지속적으로 시도할 가능성이 높고 따라서 한 개인이 취하는 행동이나 과업이 성공할 확률이 높다고 한다. 하지만 사회복지 영역에 있어서는 업무의 특수성상, 다른 사회과학 영역에서와는 다른 이론적 차이점이 존재할 것으로 추정된다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 직무만족과 자기효능감에 대한 기존 사회과학 영역에서의 이론적 배경들을 살펴보고, 향후 실증분석을 통하여 사회복지실천 연구의 영역확장을 꾀할 수 있는 기초를 제공하고자 한다.

New Changes and Tasks of the Science Museum: Focusing on its relation to PUS (과학(박물)관의 새로운 변화와 우리의 과제: PUS와의 관련성을 중심으로)

  • While science museums, whose functions consist traditionally in collecting, preserving, researching, and displaying science-related objects, present scientific knowledge, figures, or tools in the historical context, science centers give more emphases on science education by exposing interactive exhibits to their visitors. However, neither objects-oriented exhibits nor hands-on technologies can provide museum visitors with the full insight into modem science in terms of its complicated relationships to politics, economy, culture, art, risk, and environment. This paper argues that for the 21st century we need to establish a new kind of science museum through the critical examination of its previous kinds - science museums and science centers. In the first part of this paper, the history of the first and second generations of science museums, including their recent trends in science centers, in the West will be elaborated. Secondly, the development of national science museums in Korea will be discussed specifically for the understanding of Korean science museums. The next part of this paper will seek for the possibilities of the third generation of science museums through three examples, which show interdisciplinary, contextual, and institutional approaches to change science museums or science centers. Fourthly, the social function of science museums as 'forum' will be discussed in relation to promoting public 'participation' of science as well as public 'understanding' of science. As a conclusion, some practical suggestions and conceptual guidelines will be proposed for the future Korean national science museum.

Three Frames of Societal Challenge-driven Innovation (사회문제 해결형 과학기술혁신을 보는 세 가지 관점)

  • This paper examines three perspectives on science and technology innovation that are aiming at resolving the social problems. Based on the relationship between technocratic experts and civil society in the process of social problem solving innovation, we will discuss 1) expert-centered approach, 2) citizen-centered approach, and 3) expert-citizen collaboration approach. After summarizing these three perspectives, we suggest the direction of development of science and technology innovation policies that solve social problems. It is necessary to identify the social problem solving type innovation policy as a strategic niche for the transformation of the innovation policy, and to develop the future direction in the following ways: 1) deepening the collaborative approach, 2) introducing the sustainability transition approach, and 3) reconstructing the innovation policy using new concept of innovation.

  • Because of the electronic commerce development, share of the internet bookstore is rising every year in the publication circulation market. Also, the book search in the internet bookstore may smarten more forward according to development trend of the electronic book, and importance of the classification system of the internet bookstore is expected that also rise continuously. The purpose of this study is to offer the classification system that can search the social science books of the internet bookstore efficiently. For this study, compared and analyzed the classification system of internal and external 10 internet bookstores. This study may be used to other subject study of the internet bookstore, and it expect to is used to basic data for the classification system of the internet bookstore in the future.

Biological Determinism as Dominant Ideology (지배이데올로기로서 생물학결정론)

  • With the intention of revealing that biological determinism is not the truth verified as scientific facts but ideology which conceals or reproduces the white male-centered social order of western capitalism, this article considered the peculiarities of human being from a perspective of cultural anthropology and examined the social contexts of biological determinism. From these studies, it found that the human is not born, but rather become, that biological determinism, from phrenology and social evolutionism to social biology and IQ determinism, emerged for the breakthrough of crisis in which a number of disclosed social contradictions drove the established ruling order into a collapse, and that it cannot but function as dominant ideology rationalizing racial, ethnic, class and gender discriminations. Hence, bioscience must overcome biological determinism in order to be the hope of both all people and all sort of life. But it is without the transformation of unequal structures that the problem of biological determinism cannot be surmountable at all.

Re-understanding of Technoscience and Nature through Actor-Network Theory (행위자-연결망 이론을 통한 과학과 자연의 재해석)

  • Recent environmental issues such as genetically modified organisms, the loss of biodiversity, climate change, and nuclear waste cannot be reduced to a matter of science or society and explained through nature-society dualist approaches because of their complexity and heterogeneity. This paper examines how nature-society dualism has been embedded in science studies and geography and how this dualism can be overcome. Actor-Network Theory as an attempt to overcome this nature-society dualism is appropriate in analysing "strange imbriglio" of biology, politics, technoscience, market, value, ethics and facts that constitute our society by focusing on heterogeneous association, and can contribute to providing a useful framework to solve environmental problems.

The Perception of Middle School Science-Gifted Students on the 'Science Writing Heuristic' Class Emphasizing Social Interaction and Tool Improvement (사회적 상호작용과 도구 개선을 강조한 '탐구적 과학 글쓰기' 수업에 대한 중학교 과학 영재 학생들의 인식)

  • In this study, a science writing heuristic class with emphasis on social interaction and tool improvement for 10 middle school students at the National University Science-Gifted Education Center in Jeollanamdo was conducted to investigate the perception of STS (science technology society) relationship and students' perception of the effects of class. After science writing heuristic class emphasizing social interaction and tool improvement, the students became aware of the STS relationships as follows: Science-gifted students have come to perceive that experimental tools and technology contribute to the development of scientific theory, that it is difficult to solve all social problems with only science and technology, and that science is a social interaction activity. In addition, science-gifted students responded that they became aware of the relevance of STS through intensive inquiry conducted on the same subject for several hours, communications with colleagues in another group through peer reviews, communication to solve problems with colleagues in the same group, activities to improve tools in the process of inquiry, inquiry using familiar materials and phenomena. In order for students to effectively recognize the relationship of STS in science-gifted class for middle school students, it is necessary to provide experience to solve problems using various experimental tools, experience to have trial and error in the process of solving inquiry problem under the same subject, experience to improve tools in the process of solving inquiry problem, experience to communicate with colleagues who conduct inquiry activities under the same subject, experience to share the results with other groups, and inquiry activities using familiar materials and phenomena.

Understanding of Group Modeling Process with Geological Field Trip applied on Social-Construction of Scientific Model: Focusing on Constraints (과학적 모델의 사회적 구성 수업을 적용한 야외지질학습에서 나타나는 조별 모델 구성과정 이해: 제약조건을 중심으로)

  • Purpose of this study is understanding of group modeling process focusing on constraints with geological field trip applied on social-construction of scientific model. This study was carried out on 12 students of 3 groups who participate in the study 'S' gifted education center. Students were conducted to theme of 'How was formation of Mt. Gwanak?' on 2 field trip classes and 3 modeling classes. Semi-structured interviews, all discourse of field trip and modeling classes, records of personal and group activity were analyzed to constraints based on theoretical background proposed by Nersessian (2008). Results as follows. First, sources of constraints are scientific knowledge, contents observed by students during field trips and additional materials things to be explained by model during modeling class with geological field trip applied on social-construction of scientific model. Second, there are 3 types of constraints to affect making group modeling. It is that shared constraint which used commonly by all the group members. It called selected constraint that used during the initial modeling and later were reflected on for use in the group modeling. And it is that generated constraints, which were not in the initial modeling but were used later in the group modeling. This study suggests that not only the constraints can help to understand of making group model through how they used but also show that example of learning with geological field trip on social-construction of scientific model to contribute school science.
