Microfinance has been an important tool for the economic growth and poverty alleviation. But the success factors and risk factors have not been synthesized in academic literature. This article has paid attention to success factors and potential risk of the Grameen Bank. Grameen Bank methodology is almost the reverse of the conventional banking methodology. Conventional banking is based on the principle that the more you have, the more you can get. Founder of Grameen Bank, Professor Yunus pointed out that, "The least you have the highest you have the priority to receive a loan". On the basis of theoretical literature, there have been different kinds of success factors of microfinance observed in this paper. Key success factors of Grameen Bank are like these: innovation, strict administrative structure, adaptation and learning practice, incentive system. Complementary services such as business consulting and brokerage will contribute to borrowers' economic performance development.
The obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent. It may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and increased health problems such as lifestyle disease, hypertension, and diabetes. Furthermore, it may cause the mental illness such as depression, bipolar disorder, anorexia, hyperphagia, and so on by shrinking psychologically. So, it is regarded as the serious worldwide social problem. Recently, although there are many general obesity care methods with various approaches, these can't be the radical obesity care because of the side effects such as surgery aftereffect, drug addiction, and so on. For these reasons, a methodical approach with a consideration of individual obesity pattern is strongly demanded. In this study, complex obesity care and management system which is overcome the weakness of non-surgical obesity treatment is proposed. And the individually adapted obesity treatment system with the far-infrared therapy module, oxygen therapy module, color therapy module, and microwave therapy module was developed. The complex obesity treatment system which is proposed in this study, could improve the efficiency of treatment by suggesting the various treatment protocols. And proposed system could be the foundation of the high quality obesity treatment system.

Korea, the traffic and transportation problems are significant because private cars are increasing constantly. Therefore, it is imperative to improve traffic condition so as to solve the problems such as traffic congestion and accidents which may occur due to the increase of vehicles in a limited area through the signal control. However, the current operating system for traffic control cannot provide car users the optimal signal but it generates a time delay of vehicles, traffic congestions etc. In this paper, we propose and implement the system based on V2X based automatic controller, which reduces the waste of time and the driver's psychological stress on the road intersection.
Even though the number of Korean Americans has dramatically increased over the last 20 years, there have been very few studies that have examined the health of this population. This paper investigates the contemporary health status of Korean Americans in comparison to Koreans, employing mortality related health measures: life expectance, age-specific death rates, and leading cause of death. Overall, we find that Korean American adults enjoy longer life expectancy and lower age-specific death rates than do their Korean counterparts, suggesting superior health status of the former as compared to the latter. Comparison of leading causes of death indicates that Korean American adults (age of 25-64) are more likely to die from neoplasms than are their Korean counterparts, while Koreans show a dramatically higher probability of death from liver-related diseases than Korean Americans. When these two cause of death are regressed on various demographic and socioeconomic factors, the difference in prevalence of neoplasms between the two populations disappeared, while that of liver-related diseases remains unaffected. Based on the outcomes from this research, we suggest that Korean Americans are a self-selected group in terms of health and socioeconomic status, and they adopt healthy behaviors after immigration. This has resulted in the relatively superior health of Korean Americans as compared to Koreans.
This study analyzed international case studies on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) follow-up and suggested implications based on the study's findings to aid implementation of SEA follow-up in Korea. SEA requires follow-up in order to identify unforseen adverse effects and enable appropriate remedial action to be taken. Tool kits and methodological framework for effective SEA follow-up are only being researched recently. Based on the study's findings, following implications for implementing SEA follow-up in Korea were drawn. First, the system of carrying out SEA follow-up would be different depending on the PPP topic. During the scoping stage, significant impacts should be identified according to the PPP topic, and thus help determine the indicators to be developed in the later stage. Secondly, responsibility, method, time, intervals and actions from SEA follow-up may vary depending on the target SEA consultation. Thirdly, the indicators of SEA follow-up may be considered together with various environmental standards and current political, social and economic indicators which are a big issue in society. Fourthly, SEA follow-up can be used as an integration system of its target planning and environmental planning. Finally, SEA feedback system should be needed. The result of SEA follow-up should be used for target PPP. These would lead to improvements to the target PPP. If SEA follow up is successfully implemented and actively carried out for domestic PPPs, Korea can be a step closer to realization of sustainable development.
Human trafficking is a booming underground business and is the fastest growing and criminal activity in today's society. The use of coercion or fraud marks the territory of trafficking. Most people trafficked suffer constant threats, violence, and forced acts while imprisoned by their traffickers. Such human trafficking entails significant problems not only for the victims but also for the economies and community health. Large corporations overseas have also been known to partake in the sex slave industry. Another hidden cost to the global economy is the cost of law enforcement and anti-trafficking measures being implemented. Further, sex Trafficking carries many potential health consequences, one of the biggest risks is HIV infection. That means, sex trafficking is an engine of the global AIDS epidemic with one study portraying nearly fifty six percent of all sex slaves having HIV or AIDS. Therefore, many of people are being infected with HIV and many other diseases every day through contact with the sex slave industry costing millions to society and the global economy. in this study, the author presents a case study of trafficking against Nepalese women. Nepalese women being trafficked are found to have a high prevalence of HIV infection. In conclusion and discussion, a few of solutions needed to be addressed for controling human trafficking for sex slavery suggested.
This study seeks to clarify the background and factors for the expansion of bus networks that connect Incheon International Airport with its hinterlands. For this research objective, this paper analyzes the relationships among the change of bus routes, competitive transportation modes, passenger fares, and the shortest time distance. Previously, the hinterlands of route bus networks that connect Gimpo International Airport were Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, Jeonju and Iksan in Jeollabuk-do(province). However, the opening of Incheon International Airport resulted in the expansion of the hinterlands of bus networks to Gangwon-do, Gwangju, and major cities in Youngnam region. Simultaneously, route bus networks also expanded in Seoul metropolitan area. Each bus route connecting Incheon International Airport with its hinterlands was opened by a single bus company or various bus companies. In many cases, due to the uncertainty of revenues or bus company's regional ties, a bus route was opened by various bus companies. In this paper, the analysis of the number of one-way route bus service and density of flight passengers shows that the frequency of the route bus service for Seoul except Gangseo-gu(ward) and for Seoul's satellite cities(Suwon, Seongnam, Anyang, Gunpo, Guri, and Osan) should be decreased. The analysis also shows that the frequency of the route bus services for the other cities, counties(Guns), and wards(gus) should be increased. In Seoul metropolitan area, although route bus fares are more expensive than subway fares, passengers use route bus more frequency than subway because time distance of route bus is shorter than that of subway and subway transfer is inconvenient. In general, outside Seoul metropolitan area, air flight is preferred in the regions that have airports. In contrast, the route bus is preferred in Daegu and other regions that do not have airports.

The findings are as follows; Firstly, the population pressure to agricultural lands that main factor of generation of illegal slash-and-bum fields had decreased rapidly because the rural populations and less income farmers have decreased after 1967. Especially, the decrease of the rural populations had never seen to the 1970s. It is recognised that the social condition for the success in 1970s. Secondly, the continuous economic growth from the early 1960s enabled the Korean government to solve the matter through the sufficient financial investment from the Government. For example, the gross national product (GNP) and the government budget in 1974 increased around 25 times after 1960. It is recognised that the economic condition for the success in 1970s. Finally, it was enabled to remove the concealment from the slash-and-bum farmers and to monitor illegal re-cultivation thoroughly because the development of forest inventory technique using an aerial photograph and the expansion of road facilities. This study examined Sino-globalization through the network analysis of Chinese immigrants, international students, and travelers. The data were collected from the United Nations for immigrants, UNESCO for international students, and Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China for travelers. Consequently, Chinese immigrants and international students' favorite destinations were advanced Western countries, and Chinese travelers showed a high preference for Asian regions. Specifically, Thailand was the most popular destination for traveling, while the U.S. appeared to be the main destination for Chinese immigrants and students. The QAP analysis results showed a statistically significant correlation between the immigrant network and international student network. MR-QAP analysis found a causal relationship between the two networks. These findings may serve as empirical evidence for the Chinese government to review potential opportunities and problems related to Sino-globalization and provide the basis for preparing policy measures for other countries. Subsequent studies should compensate for research limitations by analyzing specific factors affecting national choice of Chinese immigrants, students, and travelers. The economic, social, and cultural impacts of China's globalization on other countries need to be discussed using qualitative research.
