  • This study is focused on the root mean square and peak-to-valley based on the injection conditions of the f-theta lens, one of the main components of laser printers and laser scanning systems. The f-theta lens of an aspherical plastic lens requires ultra-preaction. Injection molding is typically used for the mass production of aspherical plastic lenses. In the injection-molding method, the resin in the lens shape is filled with the resin after melting the plastic pellets at a constant temperature and then cooled. It is necessary to maintain a uniform injection molding system to produce high-quality lenses. These injection-molding systems are influenced by different factors, such as pressure, speed, temperature, mold, and cooling. It is possible to obtain a lens that exhibits the optical characteristics required to achieve harmony. We investigated the root mean square and peak-to-valley caused by variations in temperature, a critical parameter in the melting and cooling of plastic resins generated inside and outside the injection mold.

  • In this study. an experimental work was performed to mold tensile specimens by using the injection molding machine. Melt temperature, mold temperature and the mixed ratio of recycled resin were selected as processing parameters for studying the effect of those conditions on the shrinkage and weight of molded parts. As a result, the shrinkage was increased with the higher mold and melt temperature and it was more sensitive to the change of mold temperature. On the other hand, the weight of molded parts was decreased with the increment of mold and melt temperature.

  • A short shot is a molded part that is incomplete because insufficient material was injected into the mold. Remedial actions to control the process conditions can be taken by the injection molding experts based on their knowledge and experience. However, it is very difficult for the non-experts to avoid short shot by finding the proper process conditions such as mold temperature, melt temperature and filling time. In this paper, an intelligent generator of the optimal process conditions based upon fuzzy logic algorithm is proposed so that trial and error can be minimized and the non-experts as well as the experts can also find the optimal process conditions.

  • Due to the widen demand of plastic part in automobiles, more accurate numerical simulation works are needed to find optimum molding process like filling fiber orientation pressure control. Therefore, C-mold software was applied for the simulation of injection molding process and cooling process in this research. The purpose of this study is developing a ball seat which made by injection process with PA66 resin and it is applied to the automobile suspension system. It must secure low friction, wear resistance and dimensional accuracy. Specially this study aims to get the quality stabilization of injection molded bass-seat parts.

  • Nowadays the amount of plastic products is increasing in modern industry. Plastic materials are continuously developed to satisfy the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties. The increasing application of plastic parts in automobile and aerospace industries is due to the fact that it can reduce the structural weight and can lessen the environmental contamination. Among many manufacturing technologies for plastic parts, the injection molding process is very attractive because of its low cost and short production time. Through various analyses of resin flow and molding process for the conventional gate and cooling mechanism, a new type of mold was designed which had different gate location and cooling systems. Newly designed ball seat has an excellent performances, i.e. diminished weld-line, residual stress density, higher magnitude less crack propagation and smaller dimensional contractions effect.

  • A method for improving the warpage of the plastic part is a method of removing residual stress of the plastic product. that a non-uniform cooling are appeared in the injection molding process make uniform cooling. this study was developed the Rapid heating and cooling device used peltier module for uniform cooling. Make the Rapid heating and cooling device(RCHD), for Traditional water cooling device(TWCD) method and the Rapid heating and cooling method warpage were compared and were analyzed and the materials used amorphous ABS polymer. various warpage were compared for the process parameters such as packing pressure, packing time, resin temperature, mold temperature, In the amorphous ABS polymer, TWCD method has higher warpage than RCHD method and show the result to be a bit more uniform cooling. The distribution state of the ABS polymer was confirmed Through the Scanning electron microscope. In the TWCD method the distribution state of the polymer be densely distributed, and RCHS method be distributed wider than TWCD method. this is that injection molded parts be seen that cooling was made uniformly, As the temperature of the mold is gradually progress, Particles of the polymer is increased this is that internal stress was reduced.

  • The microstructure of the parts made by the microcellular injection molding process influence properties, including impact strength, tensile strength and density of material. Microstructure of microcellular plastics is divided into core foaming region and solid skin region. Core foaming region is influenced by pressure drop rate, viscosity and cell coalescence. However, actual mechanism of the skin layers is not known despite its importance. The study on the skin layer is getting important because foaming rate of the plastics is determined by the thickness ratio of the skin layer. Especially in case of large molded part, control of the skin layer is needed because skin layer thickness is changed largely. Therefore it is necessary to study variation in skin layer thickness with processing parameters. In this paper, the influence of temperatures in the mold cavity on the skin layer s thickness was also addressed. In addition, the relationship between the temperature distributions across cavity of the mold with impact strength on parts made with the microcellular injection molding process was addressed. In addition, the method to predict the variation in skin layer thickness with mold temperature is discussed.

  • This study conducted a prototype development and evaluation by performing die-casting mold design, mold manufacturing, and injection condition optimization based on flow and solidification analysis to meet the needs of the coupling parts produced by die casting. Through flow analysis, the injection conditions suitable for 100% filling in the cavity were found to be a molten metal temperature of 670 ℃, injection speed of 1.164 m/s, and filling pressure of 6.324~18.77 MPa. In addition, solidification close to 100 % occurred in all four cavities when the solidification rate was 69.47 %. A defect inspection on the surface and inside the product revealed defects, such as poor molding and pores. In addition, the dimensions of the injected product were within the target tolerance and showed good results. Through the feedback of the results of flow and solidification analysis, it was possible to optimize the mold design, and the injection optimization conditions were confirmed to be a total cycle time of approximately 6.5 seconds. Good quality carrier parts with an average surface hardness of approximately 45 mm from the gate measured at 97.48(Hv) could be produced.
