At the recent 19th General Election, Korean papers waged a surrogate war for the parties they share ideology with. All the conventional practices remained the same - the horse race-like presentations, furthering of confrontations, disregarding policy issues, allocating larger space for commentaries and negative issues, and etc. On top of these, papers began to focus on generational conflicts and individuals at the center of widespread attention and controversies, as a new trend. Photo images are largely used in the commentaries and articles dealing with confrontational or controversial situations. Of course, while the visual images seem to reinforce the emotional appeal of the messages papers try to get across, the potential problems need be noticed that could rise when irrelevant images are used.

The flood caused landslide disaster each year because of climate change. And the change of topography from an earthquake makes topographical analysis impossible. This paper performed an investigation about a utilization methods and generation DEM(Digital Elevation Model) after digital aerial photographs quickly when the topographical change happens. Stereo imagery that was collected through digital aerial photographs made a generation of DEM possible. A standard deviation of generated DEM is 0.864m which is somewhat high but shows the real topography. As a result, it should be possible to generate DEM by using aerial photographs in case of the change of topography.

육군은 국민들이 육군의 정책을 흥미 있으면서도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 유머 기법을 적용한 사진영상 홍보콘텐츠를 온라인 홍보에 적극 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유머가 육군에 관한 메시지 전달 기법으로 유용한지를 정교화 가능성 모델을 바탕으로 고 저유머 홍보 동영상을 고 저관여 집단에게 보여준 후 인지 정서적 요소(주의-기분-신뢰)와 태도에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 유머는 육군 홍보에 긍정적 요소로 작용하며, 주의와 기분 요소를 증가시키는데 기여하고, 이러한 주의와 기분 요소는 태도 형성에 상관관계가 있고 영향력이 높은 것으로 나타났다.

The study empirically explored factors influencing photo sharing behavior on Instagram based on the uses and gratification theory. An online survey was conducted 356 respondents those who have used Instagram and have shared photos within the last three months. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural model analysis were conducted using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 21.0. The results of this study are as follows: first, communication has the greatest effect on photo-sharing behavior; second, entertainment has a positive effect on photo-sharing behavior; third, self-expression has a positive effect on photo-sharing behavior; fourth, service users' trust has a positive effect on photo-sharing behavior. This study adds to the current literature and contributes to understanding consumers' photo-sharing behavior.

It's very difficult to acquire the accurate GCP(Ground Control Point) in the urban center and forest aerial photo because of occurring of irregular multi-path error. Thr purpose of this study is to apply the GPS and the EDM system for 3D orthophoto in the small areas. GCPs surveyed by accuracy triangulation from EDM after from triangulation points to a fiducial point at study area used to GPS. And I have a comment on how to use areal orthophoto for future 3D-GIS after 3D-Modelling using areal orthophoto. As the results, EDM surveying could resolve multi-path error according to GPS surveying and It is possible for using aerial orthophoto on the basis of the 3D-GIS database.

Xiao Quan is a leading documentary portrait photographer in China. He tried to shoot portrait photographs of celebrities in the literary and artistic world. By doing this, he represented their time period. We explored the way Xiao Quan implemented the times they lived in by analyzing their portrait photographs included in . Our research showed that Xiao Quan used images of their living environments, clothes and facial expressions and composition of portraits. Such various methods of creation are a means for the symbolic expressions of their times. This research not only finds the way Chinese documentary portraits are created but also provides an opportunity to increase the value of documentary portraits as historic documents.
