Monochoria vaginalis var. angustifolia (Pontederiaceae) was newly found in a furrow in Imha-ri, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do for the first time in Korea. This taxon is distinguished from the other species of the genus Monochoria in Korea by having the smallest plant height, very narrow lanceolate leaves, a cuneate leaf base, and raceme with 1 to 2 flowers. A local name was newly given, 'Ga-neun-moul-dal-ge-bi' for the species. The morphological characteristics and illustrations of the taxon as well as photographs at the habitat are provided with a taxonomic key to the species of Monochoria in Korea.

This paper proposes avatar face generation system that uses shading mechanism and facial features extraction method of facial recognition. Proposed system generates avatar face similar to human face automatically using facial features that extracted from a photo. And proposed system is an approach which compose shade and facial features. Thus, it has advantages that can make more realistic avatar face similar to human face. This paper proposes new eye localization method, facial features extraction method, classification method for minimizing retrieval time, image retrieval method by similarity measure, and realistic avatar face generation method by mapping facial features with shaded face pane.

본 논문에서는 현시대의 핵심이슈인 신속성과 유용성에 맞춘 갤러리 카테고라이징 어플리케이션(이하 앱)을 제안한다. 해당 앱은 기존에 모바일 기기에 내재된 갤러리 시스템의 여러 가지 단점들을 파악하여 사용자에게 방대한 양의 사진 파일들을 보다 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. 또한 외부의 서버를 개인 메모리 공간처럼 사용하는 일종의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술을 사용하여 모바일 사진 파일을 동기화한다. 이를 통해 비디오, 음악 등 모바일에서 다루는 고용량의 파일들과 수많은 응용프로그램으로부터 요구되는 메모리 공간으로 인한 모바일 기기의 용량 부족 현상을 완화하고, 모바일 기기의 한정적인 메모리 공간을 보완한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안하는 갤러리 카테고라이징 기법이 기존의 사용하는 갤러리 시스템에 비해 사진 탐색시간의 효율 면에서 우수함을 확인하였다.

A taxonomic study of South Korean Netelia (Parabates) is presented. Three species are recognized, and one of which [N. (P.) nigricarpus] is reported for the first time from South Korea. Diagnoses and photographs of the known species are provided.

Mimemodes cribratus (Reitter) is newly recognized from Korea. The present study includes a redescription, images of habitus and diagnostic characters of the species. In addition, a key to Korean species of Monotomidae is provided.

The family Ciidae is presented for the first time from Korea. Two unrecorded species, Octotemnus laminifrons (Motschulsky) and Octotemnus japonicus Miyatake are reported. Morphological photographs of adults, description, illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, and host fungi are provided.

A taxonomic review of the genus Atractomorpha Saussure in Korea is presented. Two species are identified, Atractomorpha lata (Motschulsky, 1866) and a new record A. sinensis Bolivar, 1905 which is reported from the far southern islands in Korea, Gageo-do and Jeju-do. A key, descriptions, habitus photographs of adults, and distributional information are provided.
