Ophthalmoscopy following the intravenous injection of fluorescein has gained great diagnostic importance in ophthalmology. This technique provides sequential evaluation of the anatomic and physiologic status of the choroidal and retinal vasculature. In order to detect the changes between fluorescein ocular fundus image frames, the direct subtraction of the two frames is inadequate because of geometric distortions and background gray level differences in two images. In this study, a scheme for the correction of the geometric distortions is proposed. Precise control point coordinate values for transformation functions are manually determined after the process including a series of blood vessel detection and thinning, and one frame is mapped to another, and then a geometric distortion corrected image is obtained. When the corrected image is used in interframe change detections, a sucessful result is ensured.

Many pictures are taken at a construction site, but the information of the pictures is not managed in an efficient and systematic manner. For this reason, when a construction worker has scant field experience or knowledge, it is hard to communicate with others efficiently. Therefore, the information of the pictures taken is not fully utilized in any deliberation or conflict among interested parties, facilities maintenance, and construction of another structure, although they were taken for those purposes. This study discusses the need for combining vector-photos with image and 5W and 1H information, and develops a prototype module for creating vector-photos and saving them in a server. The vector-photos taken can be saved to a server in real time, and efficiently managed by a DB system. If a system to link the vector-photos with a BIM model is developed in the future, it is expected that the vector information in the picture can be connected with the property information of an object. As a result, the vector-photos can be utilized in more diverse ways.

The affective words on photographic images were analyzed and a model was structured. Based on this model, the effects of color on the affections were studied. In study 1, the photographic images with various materials and techniques were presented and the affective responses are collected. The factor analysis using principal axing method showed that the variance of the affective words could be explained about 42％ by the three factors. These are named positive-negative, dynamic-static, light-heavy, respectively. In study 2, the effects of color on the affections were evaluated on three basic dimensions. Ninety representative color images were converged black-and-white images, and each of 180 images was rated on the three affective scales. The t-test showed that the effects of color are statistically significant on the three affective scales, respectively. The achromatic images were felt more negative, more static, and heavier than chromatic images.

SNS의 등장 이후 사진은 가장 강력한 의사소통 수단이다. 최근 사진 촬영을 보조하기 위한 도구들이 큰 인기를 얻고 있다. 그러나 기존의 도구들은 공간적 제약이 있다. 대안으로 원격 제어 기능을 탑재한 디지털카메라 역시 1:1 연결만 지원하고 모니터링이 불가능하여, 다수 카메라 제어 및 모니터링을 원하는 산업계의 요구사항을 만족시키지 못하고 있다. 제안하는 시스템은 1:1 연결을 통해 실시간으로 다중 원격 촬영을 제공하며, 다중 프리뷰 기능을 지원한다. 또한, 특정 장치에 국한되지 않아 다양성을 확보하고, 사용자들이 다양한 구도로 사진을 연출할 수 있어 편의성을 도모하였다.

Photo scanning can create point cloud and polygon models like 3D scanners bringing an object into the 3 dimensional world by combining several sheets of photographic information. The created data give us information about planes and sectional forms required for a 2 dimensional survey as well as 3 dimensional figures of buried cultural property. It requires a lot of time to record buried cultural property in the field, however, the photo scanning technique does not need additional equipment and manpower so the work may begin immediately while the property is protected. Moreover, it reduces financial burdens as it creates 3 dimensional data using images acquired by photography but provides the optimal condition to check 3 dimensional information quickly and easily.

Recently proposed intelligent images are generating, storing and managing along with existing image information and 5W1H information. Therefore, these vector images can be useful in searching and managing photos taking during building construction and maintenance processes. In addition, when the vector photos, a key to the intelligent image, is linked with BIM, it is possible to find BIM objects by utilizing information included in vector photos. And if the taken vector photo is saved as attributes of the extracted object, the vector photo can be managed as the historical data. Furthermore, this new technology will contribute to make the management of construction information more efficiently. This study is about the development of the technology of extracting BIM objects from vector photo information and managing the attributes of the extracted objects. Also the prototype modules was developed and tested to evaluate the processes of setting reference points, converting coordinate system, calculating positions, and so on. Through these processes, it was confirmed that the possibility of extracting BIM objects from vector photos and of managing attribute data of objects.

Four species, T. michali Radchenko, T. pisarskii Radchenko, T. wui (Wheelr), and T. xanthos Radchenko of the genus Temnothorax were, for the first time, reported in Korea. Authors provide taxonomic information on the morphological characters and photos of species.

At the recent 19th General Election, Korean papers waged a surrogate war for the parties they share ideology with. All the conventional practices remained the same - the horse race-like presentations, furthering of confrontations, disregarding policy issues, allocating larger space for commentaries and negative issues, and etc. On top of these, papers began to focus on generational conflicts and individuals at the center of widespread attention and controversies, as a new trend. Photo images are largely used in the commentaries and articles dealing with confrontational or controversial situations. Of course, while the visual images seem to reinforce the emotional appeal of the messages papers try to get across, the potential problems need be noticed that could rise when irrelevant images are used.
