The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of biology contents of cyber home learning systems which provided by 16 metropolitan and provincial offices of education. The contents were evaluated by the 9 categories: needs assessment, instruction design, learning contents, teaching & learning strategy, interaction, supporting system, evaluation, ethicality and copy right. The result showed that the contents have advantage in detailed learning goal, useful learning environment, learning activities by level, and various learning parts material, but lack in evaluation method tool for personal learning by level and the latest learning material. Based on this results, it is expected that the barrier of the efficient learning contents should be searched for the complement, as well as the development high-quality educational contents and the management of cyber home learning system.

In this study, we evaluated web usability for hospital web sites in Korea and analyzed the evaluation results of web usability. Estimators investigated twelve hospital web sites and answered a questionnaire. They also performed predefined tasks which were frequently used services in hospital web sites. We had an interview with the estimator for finding what happened in process of evaluating usability. The evaluation results showed that university hospital provided comparatively better web usability for users. But ambiguous and complicated user interface caused confusion among users. The simplifications of service processes and interfaces were necessary to improve web usability. Some hospitals did not offer primary web services and their services related to the tasks were not systematic.

본 논문에서는 Cactus와 Globus를 사용하는 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 작업 마이그레이션(Job Migration)에 대해 연구 하였다. 그리드 컴퓨팅은 고속의 네트워크로 연결된 다중의 사이트에 분산되어 있는 연산 자원들을 활용하는 것으로서, 연산 자원들의 효율적인 이용이 중요하다. 연산자원의 효율적인 이용의 한 방법으로서 작업 마이그레이션은 이동 에이전트, 부하 균등화, 결함 허용 등을 위해 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문에는 한 사이트에서 실행중인 연산 작업이 중단된 경우, 유휴한 다른 사이트의 연산자원으로 이동한 후 체크포인팅 파일을 이용하여 중단된 지점부터 복구하여 연산을 계속 수행하도록 하는 연구를 수행하였다. K*Grid 환경에서 연산시간을 효과적으로 단축함을 실험으로 확인하였다. 보다 동적인 그리드 컴퓨팅에서 결함허용, 연산자원의 효율적인 이용 방법으로 사용될 수 있다.

The purposes of this study were to examine the features of web fashion magazines and to suggest an effective website model for them. Seven web fashion magazines were analyzed. The evaluating criteria included: contents, design, navigation, and services. In addition, online-questionnaires were sent to 40 end users to obtain the information regarding user behaviors on the elected web fashion magazines. The results show that a suggested model should include various aspects: 1) providing currents information. 2) consistency in design, 3) easy in navigation, and 4) searching function etc.

According to the rapid growth of Internet service, electronic commerce usage scale is growing every year. It requires the method of vitalizations of electronic commerce through reducing the software development cost and making easy of data construction. Web service, which is adapting distributed technology based on internet supports the infrastructure of reducing the software development cost through software sharing. As the shared software modules access the same data, they can reference the same data on the other site. In this paper, we designed and implemented database Processing module of the electronic commerce program using web service technology, which can make easy of site construction and sharing database. Implemented database processing module supports data selection modification insertion deletion and searching. Using this functions we showed product item information could be shared among the other electronic commerce sit.

In this paper, we describe a mechanism that supports the mobility service for VPN(Virtual Private Network) users on MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) network. The MPLS VPN considered in this study is controlled by CE(Customer Edge) routers. In such a VPN, CE routers have additional functions to support mobile VPN users, i.e., Home Agent function, foreign Agent function, Correspondent Agent function. This mechanism is applied when a VPN node moves to other site of the saute VPN, or when it moves to other site of a different VPN, or to a non-VPN site. We perform a simulation study to compare the performance of CE based MPLS VPN with that of PE(Provider Edge) based MPLS VPN with mobility support.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of directory services provided by major Korean search portals: Naver, Daum, Yahoo-Korea, and Empas. A directory service of Open Directory is also compared. These directory services are evaluated in terms of the coverage, category creation criteria, site selection criteria, breadth and depth of hierarchy, clarity and currency of category names, order of category listing, and overall classification system. The results of this study can be implemented for the development and improvement of portal's directory services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing directory services from search portals.

인터넷 사용자의 비약적인 증가와 발전에 따라 교육공학에 있어서도 구성주의를 기반으로 한 웹 기반 학습의 역할이 매우 중요한 하나의 교육 분야로서 인식되고 있다. 따라서 웹을 기반으로 한 수많은 학습 사이트가 등장하고 있으며, 이를 이론적으로 정립하기 위한 연구도 계속되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 구성주의 및 웹 기반 학습 이론에 충실하면서, 구조적이고 학습 효과를 높일 수 있는 웹 기반 학습[WBL] 환경을 구현하기 위하여, 기존의 웹 기반 학습 사이트에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 각 모듈 사이에 유기적인 관계를 가지고 학습자의 학습을 관리해 줌으로써, 학습 효과를 최대한 높일 수 있는 웹 기반 학습 환경을 구현하였다. 또한 UML 방법론을 사용하여 재사용 가능한 메시징 컴포넌트를 구현 및 이용함으로써, 웹 환경에서 교사-학습자간, 학습자-학습자간의 적극적인 상호작용을 할 수 있고, 다른 웹 기반 학습 사이트에서도 재사용 할 수 있도록 하였다.

M-commerce services are rapidly emerging with recent advances in mobile devices and wireless communications. Internet Shopping mall managers provide mobile phone users with their mobile shopping malls for m-commerce. However, these mobile shopping malls usually have their own sites which are not compatible with their Internet shopping malls, thus resulting in inefficiency to manage the two kinds of shopping malls. In this paper, we develop a M-commerce content provider system to effectively bring Internet shopping malls to mobile phones by extracting items only concerned to users from product documents. We then apply and evaluate the system over a specific internet shopping mall site. The results show that the system reduces considerably the amount of data transferred to user's mobile phones compared with using general web browsers.

This study examined contents of interaction that played an important role in learners' accomplishment of educational goals at web-based educational system. The purpose of the study was to find out design strategies of web-based education website that could give learners more satisfactory interaction. The study firstly investigated concept and values of web-based education as well as interaction by literature study to analyze web-based educational design principles at actual web-based education websites from point of view of interaction and to examine what factors should be used and reinforced at existing teaching. The findings were as follow: Web-based education websites made use of interaction with 'each design factor', such as colors, texts and images, etc that were based on communication designs to give 'information' by systematic interaction more than by social interaction.
