  • Since Cyber Home Learning is an e-learning system promoted with policy goals of reducing private tutoring costs, solving gaps among regions, and improving scholastic attainments, preceding researches to verify its effects have been developed of evaluation standards focused on achievement of its policy goals rather than educational goals. The evaluation standards suggested in preceding researches have limitations in clearly reviewing Cyber Home Learning's effects by teaching-learning activities factors and Cyber Home Learning's improvement related to teaching-learning activities. Therefore, an evaluation model capable of analyzing effects of Cyber Home Learning from pedagogical aspect is required. The goal of this paper is to design pedagogical evaluation model according to teaching-learning activities factors and analyze effects of Cyber Home Learning. For the goal, researches from Korea and abroad related to Cyber Home Learning have been examined, pedagogical evaluation model was designed according to teaching-learning activities factors, and the model was then experimented through survey and in-depth interview on students who used Cyber Home Learning. It is expected that results of this paper can be used as a basic data to improve quality of Cyber Home Learning service for teaching-learning activities, and will contribute to establishment of more developmental Cyber Home Learning policy in the future.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of the e-Learning application on the teaching learning method in Technology-Home Economics of Middle School. For e-Learning of clothing part, diverse teaching programs and contents were reconstructed and provided in cyber-space. Among the uploaded diverse materials including advanced and supplementary materials, students could make a choice which depends on their own levels. Since the results of assignments could be uploaded in cyber-space and easily accessible to all students, the reliablity of estimation was increased and self-directed learning ability was improved. Also, more effective teaching learning activity could be expected through the mutual exchange of opinion between students and teacher, and among students. Besides, counselling and advices on overall aspect of student's life were also possible. The students were generally satisfied to e-Learning instruction. The interest and understanding about clothing part were increased, and the academic attitude and habit were positively changed. Also they responded that e-Learning instruction were very helpful because learning was possible even after school, diverse materials for learning were available, and submitting the results of assignments was very convenient. In conclusion, the application of e-Learning on the teaching learning method was very effective and should be encouraged. The development and supplement of diverse programs and contents will be necessary for more successful e-Learning instructions.

The participants included 630 middle and high school students who attended the 3-months online gifted program. Participants volunteerly surveyed on background and characteristics such as gender, grade, subjects, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning, and the effectiveness and satisfaction of the online gifted education program. T-test, ANOVA, and MANOVA were conducted to analyze the effect of students' background and characteristics on various dependent variables. The results of this study showed that (1) overall, participants perceived the effectiveness of the online gifted program positively; (2) participants perceived the satisfaction of the online gifted program positively. In specific, they perceived system satisfaction higher than interaction satisfaction. (3) the personal characteristics which impacted on both effectiveness and satisfaction were grade, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning. Suggestion for the online gifted education program were discussed.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of the Cyber Home Learning Motivation Factors on its satisfaction and activation through surveying the actual conditions among the students present at a cyber home learning class. For this study, samples were collected around the end of a term from the students(300 in pilot test and 248 in main test) who were taking Cyber Home Lecture at high school level. Structural equation model by AMOS 5.0 was used to analyze the data. The result of our analysis is summarized as follows. First, the cyber home learning satisfaction has a positive effect on the cyber home learning activation. Second, the 4 factors of the cyber home learning motivation: relevancy, self-confidence and satisfaction has a positive effect on the cyber home learning satisfaction. But the factor 'attention' has no positive effect on the cyber home learning satisfaction. Therefore, the Good Cyber Home Learning Contents should provide the information quality which meets 3 conditions: relevancy, self-confidence and satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem-based home economics teaching.learning process plans about a unit 'the youth and consumer life' of middle school eighth-grade Technology and Home Economics by applying blended learning(BL) strategy. According to ADDIE instructional design model, this study was conducted in the following procedure: analysis, design/development, implementation, and evaluation. In the stage of design and development, the selected unit was converted into a practical problem-based unit, and practical problem-based teaching. learning process plans were designed in detail by using BL strategy. An online study room for practical problem-based home economics instruction grounded in BL strategy was prepared by using Edunet(http://community.edunet4u.net/${\sim}$consumer2). Eight-session lesson plans were mapped out, and study aids for students and materials for teachers were prepared. In the implementation stage, the first-session teaching plans that dealt with a minor question 'what preparations should be made to become a wise consumer' were utilized when instruction was provided to 115 eighth graders who were in three different province, and the other one was in a middle school in the city of Daejeon. The experimental teaching was implemented for two weeks in the following procedure: preliminary program, pre-online learning, main instruction and post- online learning. The preliminary program was carried out in a session in the classroom, and pre-online learning was provided before the main instruction was given in a session in the classroom. After the main instruction was completed, post-online learning was offered. In the evaluation stage, a survey was conducted on all the learners and teachers to find out their opinions and suggestions.
