User-centered relevance judgement model for information retrieval (정보검색에서의 사용자 중심 적합성 판단 모형)

  • This research takes a user-centered approach to define relevance, the core concept in information retrieval. The literature on relevance has identified numerous factors affecting such a judgment. We examined the model of user relevance judgment that describes the relationship between user relevance criteria and different types of relevance with information search task. We consider 7 criteria of user relevance-topicality, novelty, reliability, understandability, specificity, richness, and interest-and 3 type of user relevance-cognitive relevance, situational relevance, and affective relevance. Data were collected from a semi-controlled survey and analyzed by a structural equation modeling. As a result, topicality and reliability were found to be the essential relevance criteria in all information retrieval tasks. In the fact search task, topicality, reliability, novelty, richness, and interest were found to be significant. In the problem solving search task, topicality, reliability, understandability, and specificity were found to be significant. In the decision making search task, topicality, reliability, novelty, understandability, richness, specificity, and interest were found to be significant. In addition, the relationships between types of user relevance were determined. This research made theoretical and practical contributions to the field of information retrieval by identifying a definite model of user relevance judgment.

  • In recently, one of the most interests is a field related with serious game. Most game users perform the first for the executing of tutorial before they use a serious game for the first time. But in most case, developers do not recognize importance of tutorial and they do not consider the type of user preference tutorial and make tutorials only as developer's intentions. In our study, we carry out investigation and analysis about type of providing tutorials in representative serious games. Also, we do a survey of users' preferences for types of tutorials. If developers use the result of our study and we can expect more convenient and good quality of tutorial development.

  • This study presented estimation framework that consider website pattern and user use purpose for website estimation improvement. Also, analyzed and evaluated existing website using estimation framework. In this study, divided by general user and company user and analyzed relative importance between each estimation factors in estimation framework and secured reliability of website estimation model because applies AHP method and presented key factors to website construction, operation, administration. Through this study, projected necessity of weight calculation between estimation area by site type to website estimation field researchers and differentiate contents offered that follow in user type(individual, company) to website planners and operators, projected guideline that can provide more efficient and strategic service.

A Study on the Expansion of Fully Autonomous Vehicles into Residential Space (완전 자율주행 자동차의 주거공간으로의 확장에 대한 연구)

  • Due to the recent changes in residential value, user needs for various spaces in residential space are increasing. However, it is not easy to change and reconstruct the first residential form according to the needs of the user due to the characteristics of the residential space where movement and deformation are difficult. Therefore, this study aims to derive a plan to meet user needs according to changing residential value by using fully autonomous vehicles with a concept of space that can be moved. First, the existing residential space was classified through literature research, and based on this, the space type of the fully autonomous vehicle for the residential was derived through user research. Then, through the survey method and statistical analysis, user needs analysis for residential space, usefulness analysis of derived space type and type specification were carried out. Finally, based on the results of the study, the design direction of the fully autonomous vehicle for residential purpose was presented. Based on the user's perception, it is meaningful that it categorizes the space of the fully autonomous vehicle for residential purposes and suggests the design direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 데이터 마이닝을 통하여 웹 사이트를 방문한 사용자의 컨텐츠 유형에 따른 정보를 조사하고, 필터링 과정을 통해 분류화하고, 이러한 과정을 통해 얻은 정보를 이용하여 뉴스레터를 발송하며, 발송된 뉴스레터로부터의 컨텐츠 유형에 따른 CTR(Click Through Rate)과 사용자 반응을 추적하여 이러한 정보를 분석하고 사용자 프로파일 및 웹 사이트로부터 분류화된 정보, 그리고 추적된 정보와 함께 뉴스레터 컨텐츠를 재구성하는 개인화된 자동화 뉴스레터 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다.

  • 최근 객체지향 기법보다 효율적인 재사용성과 대체성을 지원하는 컴포넌트 기법에 대한 인식의 확대로 많은 업무용 시스템들에 대한 컴포넌트 기반 시스템으로의 재개발 또는 재개발 요구가 증가하고 있으며 이에 따라 레거시 시스템을 컴포넌트 기반 시스템으로 전환하기 위한 연구 또한 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 레거시 시스템의 사용자 인터페이스를 컴포넌트화 하기 위한 전환 프로세스를 제시한다. 전환 프로세스는 레거시 시스턴 사용자 인터페이스 구성 분석, 컴포넌트 유형 분석, 컴포넌트 전환 패턴 개발. 컴포넌트 설계 및 구현 사용자 인터페이스 요구사망 테스트의 다섯 단계로 구성되어 있다. 레거시 시스템 사용자 인터페이스 구성 분석단지에서는 사용자 인터페이스의 화면구성파 내부로직을 분석하고 사용자 인터페이스의 컴포넌트화 단위를 결정하며 컴포넌트 유형 분석단계에서는 사용자 인터페이스를 구현할 컴포넌트 기술을 결정한다. 컴포넌트 전환 패턴 개발단계에서는 사용자 인터페이스를 컴포넌트화 시키기 위한 전판 패턴을 설계하며 컴포넌트 설계 및 구현 단계에서는 설계된 전환 패턴에 따라 사용자 인터페이스를 컴포넌트화한다. 사용자 인터페이스 요구사항 테스트단계에서는 개발된 컴포넌트가 레거시 시스템의 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 요구사항을 만족하는가를 확인한다. 제시한 프로세스를 적용할 래거시 시스템의 사용자 인터페이를 컴포넌트화한 구현 사례를 통해 사용자 인터페이스와 관련된 코드의 재사용 방범을 제시한다.

UX Evaluation of Financial Service Chatbot Interactions (금융 서비스 챗봇의 인터렉션 유형별 UX 평가)

  • Recently, as a new ICT trend, emerging chatbots are actively introduced in the field of finance. Chatbot conducts services through the interaction of communication with users. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of interaction dialogue type on the efficiency, usability, sensibility and perceived security of financial service chatbot. Based on theoretical considerations, I have divided into closed conversation, open conversation, and mixed conversation type based on the conversation style based on the implementation method of chatbot. Three types of Financial Chatbot prototypes were made and the experiments were conducted after account inquiry, account transfer, Q & A financial task execution. As a result of experimental research analysis, chatbot's interaction dialogue type was found to affect efficiency and usability. Users have shown that the interaction of closed conversations and mixed conversations is an intuitive interface that allows financial services to be easily manipulated without error. This study will be used as a resource to improve the user experience that requires deep understanding of financial chatbot users who should consider both the emotional element of artificial intelligence that provides services through natural conversation and the functional elements that perform financial business can be.

The Relationships Between Navigational Pattens and Information Processing Styles of Hypermedia Users (하이퍼미디어 사용자의 정보처리 유형이 정보탐색 패턴에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the relationships between hypermedia users information processing styles and navigational patterns. Three aspects of navigational patterns were investigated: (a) navigational breadth patterns which reveal how comprehensively users access, (b) navigational path patterns which display what sequences users follow. and (c) navigational method patterns which show what methods u users employ when using the system. Information processing styles were measured by the Human Information Processing Styles(HIPS) Survey. The subjects were 102 undergraduate students enrolled in management courses at a university. Participation was voluntary 34 students were selected for each of left, right, and integrated information processor group. The subjects interacted with A.g.i.l.e. TrainerTM program to complete two types of searching tasks 'open-ended and closed-ended tasks' Findings indicated that the information processing style seems to play an important role in how an individual interacts with the hypermedia systems.

  • The amount of personal information has increased dramatically due to the prevalent use of smartphones and the rapid growth of social networking services. Under these circumstances, there has been a lot of efforts to obtain new information based on the overflowing personal data. The conventional character analysis method, which heavily relies on personal surveys, had some limitations in that it was difficult for psychologist to have a complete access to the surveyed results. When it comes to celebrities, however, it is relatively easy to access to their information through various media. Therefore there has been various researches that examined celebrities' personalities. On the contrary, not many studies have focused on analyzing the characteristics of the general public whose information is not so accessible. In this research, we suggest a method to analyze ordinary people's characteristics based on information available via their social networking services. This research focuses on developing a Facebook-native application, which examines the user's character type based on the posts shared in the user's Facebook page.

A Study on the Image Scale through the Classification of Emotion in Web Site (웹사이트 사용자 감성유형 분류를 통한 감성척도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the design factor and the sensitivity in web site. The classification of sensitivity-types consists of the research of books and the survey, and the language specialist's review and the analysis of factor. The research of the Image Scale accomplished through the analysis of the result of sensitivity-types. The major findings of the analysis are summarized as follows. The webpage sensitivity-types are classified into the 7 types, namely 'refreshment', 'calm', 'refinement', 'strongness', 'youth', 'uniqueness', 'futurity'. As a result of analyzing of similarity between the adjectives by multiple standards, the web site Image Scale space consists of the axis between 'heavy-light' and 'soft-hard'. As a result of the research of relationship between the web site design factor and the emotion, the color and the layout influenced into 'soft-hard' much, and the light and the color influenced into 'heavy-light' much.
