With the advance and proliferation of computer and wireless network technology, it is common to access to network through the wireless network using mobile device. The ratio of using the streaming media out of many applications through the network is increasing not only in the wired network but also in the wireless network. The streaming media is much bigger than other contents and requires more network bandwidth to communicate and more computing resources to process. However the mobile devices have relatively poor computing resource and low network bandwidth. If the streaming media service is provided for mobile devices without any consideration about the network bandwidth and computing power, it is difficult for the client to get the service of high quality. Since especially mobile devices are supported with very limited energy capacity from the battery, the streaming media service should be adjusted to the varying energy state of mobile devices to ensure the complete playback of streaming media. In this paper, we propose a new method to guarantee the complete playback time of the streaming media for the mobile clients by dynamically controlling transmitted frame rate to the client according to the estimated available time of mobile device using battery model reflecting the characteristic of the battery. Since the proposed method controls the number of frames transmitting to the client according to the energy state of the mobile device, the complete playback time is guaranteed to mobile clients.

유비퀴토스 환경에서 기존의 일반 콘텐츠는 다양한 사용자의 단말기 특성과 선호도, 네트워크 특성등을 고려하여 원본 콘텐츠를 콘텐츠 리퍼포징(Contents Repurporsing)하여 사용자에게 적응적으로 제공될 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 ICDN은 기존의 CDN 기술과 OPES 구조 및 ICAP 표준 인터페이스를 이용하여 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 지원하기 위한 네트워크 프레임워크를 제공한다. ICDN은 콘텐츠 서버가 사용자에게 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 제공하기 보다는 사용자와 인접해 있는 네트워크 구성요소가 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 보다 효율적인 네트워크 서비스 지원이 가능하다.

The desired level for multimedia services in the mobile web environment, the next generation web environment, is expected to be of PC level quality. And great efforts have been made in the development of hadware technology, communication technology, various kinds of services and standardization to support these services, In the mobile web environment, multimedia contents adaptation services should be available through supporting various kinds of devices, network abilities and users' preferences. It means that due to the variety of both desired devices' hardware specifications, called destinations, and desired QoSes, the QoSes in the destinations are not fixed or defined. If a new user wants to stream multimedia contents in a server through a new kind of terminal device, it should be considered whether the existing transcoders are able to adapt the multimedia contents. However, the existing libraries for multimedia adaptation have heavy transcoder figures which include all adaptive functions in one library, The challenge of universal access is too complex to be solved with these all in one solutions. Therefore, in this paper we propose an application independent multimedia adaptation framework which meets the QoS of new and varied mobile devices. This framework is composed of a group of unit transcoders having only one transcoding function respectively, Instead of heavy transcoders. Also, It includes the transcoder manager supporting the dynamic connections of the unit transcoders in order to satisfy end to end QoS.

MPEG-21은 사용자가 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 네트워크상에서 생성, 변형, 전달, 소비하기 위한 통합적 멀티미디어 프레임워크를 정의한 국제 표준이 다. MPEG-21 DIA(digital item adaptation)는 멀티 미디어 데이터를 사용자의 환경, 단말기 특성, 네트워크 특성에 대한 정보를 기술할 수 있는 표준을 정의하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DIA에서 정의한 여러 가지 적응 변환 중 사용자의 관심 영역을 중심으로 한 의미론적 변환 엔진을 구현하였으며, 이에 대한 실험결과를 제시한다 기존의 변환 방법이 비디오 프레임의 전체 크기, 해상도 화질을 조정하였다면, 의미론적 변환은 사용자의 관심 영역을 중심으로 변환을 수행함으로써, 사용자의 관심도를 반영할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Ubiquitous environment is constructed by development of an IT technology, offer environment of many service changed to mobile environment. Also, existed service offered at fixed position like home or company, but according to development of mobile device. user require service as moving. Wibro can offer as user moving using mobile device. As requirement should be included authentication, in case of authentication between UICC and AAA authentication server is offered in Wibro, service is available. However, when UICC requires initial authentication to AAA authentication server, identification information of UICC expose as plaintext, so privacy infringement of mobile device occurs. Therefore, identification information of terminal generate randomly using OTP(One-Time Password) that generated in mobile terminal, and we proposed mechanism of privacy protection. Also, we proposed mechanism that offer secure service to user as offer authentication from OTP framework, and offer OTP combination authentication detailedly.

Internet users want to use IP sharing routers for reducing their cost and managing their terminals easy. Network service providers(NSPs) forced their subscribers pay extra charges to use extra terminal like IP router, since 1998 in Korea. The NSPs asserted that IP sharing routers would harm their networks or would impose extra load on their networks, but they were unable to prove their assertion. Users and manufacturing companies insisted on the legitimacy of IP routers, because the IP router is a kind of terminal for end-users, and as such, the right of selection of an IP router belongs to the user. The interest in and beliefs of the relevant social groups about IP router will be deduced through their interpretation. It draws the technological frame of two social groups, NSPs and IP router-manufacturing companies. The rough struggle between two social groups come from their frames. The article shows how society constructs a particular information technology.

Mobile IPTV is a IPTV interactive broadcasting service through wireless Internet. Mobile IPTV service would be much more promoted. Thus, the methods for protecting the broadcasting contents will be indispensible elements for the successful Mobile IPTV service achievement. This paper describes the characteristics of Mobile IPTV and the related contents protection techniques. To evaluate several security issues, we suggest a DCAS security framework model for Mobile IPTV, and speculate the most widespread, a security technologies for Mobile IPTV such as DCSA. Moreover, candidate models of Mobile IPTV protection system are suggested based on these technologies.

XML-based open protocol, XMPP users to pass messages to other users, which means that a decentralized communication network is the network infrastructure and enable it. In addition, XMPP servers using a professional server-to-server protocol to communicate with each other and decentralized social networks and collaboration framework provides an important possibility. In this paper, the features of XMPP messaging protocol is applicable to automotive telematics terminals XMPP-based platform design, and presence of two-way communication point for the problem, point-to-point session setup issues, security issues, compatibility issues, and to solve the scalability problem XMPP-based messaging system was implemented.

최근 유/무선 통신망과 접속 기술의 발달로 사용자들은 다양한 네트워크로의 접근이 가능하게 되었다. 하지만 이러한 여러 종류의 접속 기술은 접속 기술간 서비스 이동에 따른 이동성 보장이 서로 독립적이기 때문에 핸드오버 시 부가적인 지연이 발생하는 문제가 있다. 또한 다른 접속 서비스로의 비디오 전송 시 QoS 보장이 어려운 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 IEEE 802.21 Media Independent Handover 정보 서비스를 이용하여 네트워크 접속망에서 스케일러블 비디오 코딩 전송 방법을 제안한다. 이는 MIH Function에서 각 단말기에 대한 데이터 전송률과 QoS 정보를 MIH 정보 서버로부터 얻어 비디오 스케일링 레이어를 결정한다. 이렇게 결정된 스케일링 레이어를 이용하여 스케일러블 비디오 코딩을 수행한 후, 각각의 단말기에게 비디오를 전송하게 된다. 이러한 새로운 스케일러블 비디오 전송 모델은 서로 다른 여러 종류의 해상도, 화질, 프레임 전송률을 갖는 영상을 다양한 네트워크의 다양한 디바이스로 적응적인 비디오 전송이 가능하다.

2009년 말, 시작된 '아이폰 쇼크'는 아직도 진행중이다. 아이폰은 기존 무선단말기에서는 상상할 수 없을 정도의 다양한 콘텐츠와 소프트웨어를 손안의 휴대폰에서 사용 가능하다. 전 세계로 창이 열린 앱스토어에는 사용자들을 현혹시킬 만한 게임, 멀티미디어 동영상, 프로그램들이 날마다 넘쳐난다. 이메일, Wi-Fi 등 업무효율을 극대화 할 수 있는 솔루션도 모두 지원된다. 아이폰이 제공하는 혁신적인 기능과 앱스토어 앞에 그동안 초고속인터넷 강국이란 명성과 폐쇄적인 무선망 정책을 구사해왔던 통신서비스 업계는 모두 큰 충격에 빠져 있는 듯 하다. 본 고에서는 늦었지만 이제부터라도 이동환경에서의 앱스토어의 기술 전반을 살펴보고, 우리 고유의 무선인터넷 생태계 복원을 위해 개방형 모바일 앱스토어를 위한 서비스 프레임워크를 제안하고자 한다.
