Longitudinal Trajectories of Computer Game Use among School Age Children: Using Latent Class Growth Model (학령기 아동의 게임 사용시간 변화궤적 분석 : 잠재계층성장분석(LCGM)을 활용하여)

  • This study aimed to explore the trajectories of computer game use of school age children and to identify the related predictors. The data for this study used Korean Children and Youth Panel data covering from the second year to the sixth year of elementary school. A total of 1,959 participants were analyzed. Latent class growth model was employed to explore the trajectories of computer game use and multinomial logistic regression was conducted to identify the significant predictors. Main results indicated that three types of trajectories were identified: low game using group, high initial using-fluctuating group, and high increasing game using group. Each group was found to be associated deferentially with sex, aggression, attention deficit, main caregiver's education, siblings, parent absence after-school, neglecting, family income, family trip, school grades, and peer relationship. Based on these findings, this study emphasized the importance of predictive intervention for the game user among early school age children and suggested useful practical strategies.

A Convergence Study on association of Internet Use Time with Perceived Status in Adolescents (청소년 인터넷 사용시간이 청소년 주관적 상태에 미치는 영향에 대한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the internet use time that young people use for purposes other than learning purpose, to grasp the perceived status of the youth according to internet use time and to grasp the interrelationships of them. Using the 2016 youth health behavior online survey, the odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of perceived status according to internet use time were calculated by binary logistic regression analysis. The main results are as follows. In perceived health and perceived oral health the odds ratios of perceived who feel that they are perceived and unhealthy as the time spent using the Internet increased significantly compared to those who did not use the Internet for learning purposes. In the perceived body type, the odds ratio of being overweight increased significantly with longer internet use time. The odds ratios of perceived happiness were 1.19 times (CI = 1.10-1.30) higher than the perceived expectation of unhappiness when using the Internet for over 300 minutes. The use of the internet for a long time other than the purpose of learning may have a negative effect on the health and happiness of the youth, so we think that the recommended time for using the internet is necessary.

  • 본 논문은 주파수 전이신호와 시간 전이 신호에 대해서 고조파 잡음 여기 방법과 시간 분리 여기 방법을 적용한 2.4 kbps 음성부호화 방법을 제안한다. 혼합 여기 부호화 방법은 주기 신호와 비 주기 신호를 효과적으로 표현하기 위해 하모닉 잡음 모델을 사용한다. 혼합신호에 대한 잡음 성분은 캡스트럴 분석 방법을 사용함으로써 추출되고, AR (Autoregressive Model) 모델에 의해 표현된다. 시간 전이구간 신호에서의 모호한 음성을 효과적으로 제거하기 위한 또 다른 방법이 제안된다. 제안된 시간 분리 방법은 시간 에너지 변화정도를 관찰함으로써 전이 시점을 감지하고 다른 시간 길이를 가지는 두 블록으로 분리하여 분석한다. 시간 분리 방법은 분석을 위한 비대칭 윈도우와 합성에서의 위상 합성 방법을 포함한다. 제안된 방법을 사용한 2.4 kbps 음성부호화 방법은 주관적 음질 평가에서 전이구간에서의 지각적 음질의 향상을 보여주었으며, 원본 음성 스펙트럼과의 고조파 비 매칭에 의한 윙윙거리는 기계적인 잡음을 감소시킨다.

  • To use commercial software, most software users purchase the software. Some software users, who do not use the software frequently, regard purchasing the software as undue expense. Software rental service can be an effective substitute. To support the software rental service, charging scheme is necessary. Two categories of charging scheme can be considered. One is charging a fixed amount of fee for a fixed period of time and the other is charging a fee based on the actual usage time. In this paper, the software pay-per-use approach based on the amount of time that the software user has used is proposed. The proposed approach gives the capability to calculate the usage time.

Effects of Smartphone Overuse on Adolescents' Mental Health and Academic Performance Based on Data From the 2022 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey (청소년의 스마트폰 사용 시간에 따른 학업 성적과 정신건강상태 비교)

  • Objective : The aim of this study was to investigate the differences in academic and mental health status (generalized anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts) between adolescents exhibiting normal and excessive smartphone use patterns. Methods : The smartphone use times and academic and mental health status of 51,850 adolescents were analyzed using raw data from the 2022 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey. Descriptive statistics of complex sample analysis, frequency analysis and linear regression analysis were performed. Results : The mean smartphone use time of middle and high school students was 6 hours 43 minutes on weekends and 4 hours 39 minutes on weekdays. There were significant differences in smartphone use time according to gender and grade. As a result of comparing differences in academic status between adolescents with excessive smartphone use times and those with normal use times. In terms of mental health status, adolescents with excessive use times had higher generalized anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, and suicidal thought scores than adolescents with normal use times. Conclusion : This study can be used as a basic reference for research on smartphone overuse.

  • 본 논문은 gate-level timed circuits의 자동 합성과 검증에 대한 것으로, 동기 회 로는 디자인을 최적화하기 위해 합성 절차가 사용된 동안 설계서에 명시된 시간 정보에 속 한 비동기 회로의 일부로서 이 시스템은 열거된 일반적인 회로 작용과 시간의 요구 조건에 대해 설계를 해석한다. 이 설계는 영향을 미치는 상태 공간을 구하기 위해 정확하고 효과적 인 시간 해석 알고리즘을 사용해 해석할 수 있는 그래픽 표현으로 자동적으로 변환된다. 이 상태공간으로부터 합성 절차는 standard-cells과 gate-arrays와 같은 반 주문형 반도체로 매핑을 용이하게 하기 위해 기본 게이트만을 사용해 어려움을 해결하는 시간에 대한 회로 유도된다.

  • In this paper, we refer to positive effect and negative effect of game. And we inquire the recent trend of edutainment that emphasizes charm of game and educational effect at the same time. Because the simulation game and the role-playing game have strong toxication, the limitation of computer use is essential. Therefore, we present dynamic computer using-time control system for prevention of game toxicaton and for activity of educational contents. The method considered in this paper increases computer using-time n proportion to using of educational contents. So it lead user of computer to use educational contents voluntarily.

  • This study was a descriptive research study using structured questionnaires. It was identified as t-test and ANOVA to confirm SNS usage time, interpersonal relationship, body image, and academic achievement to 144 college students. Duncan's multiple test Respectively. Pearson's Correlation Coefficients were used to determine the correlation between interpersonal, body image, and academic achievement according to SNS use time. Of the 144 subjects, 55 (38.2%) were male and 89 (61.8%) were female, and 2.2 hours for female and 1.9 hours for male. (P <.014), but there was no significant correlation between body image and academic achievement, although there was a positive correlation between intimacy and high level among sub-factors. There was a positive correlation between interpersonal and body image (p <.003).

  • This paper presents our investigation for the effect of symbol timing errors in orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) uplink systems. We express the symbol timing errors between users as the symbol timing misalignments with respect to the desired user. Then, we derive an explicit expression of the average effective signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. (SINR) as a function of the maximum value of the symbol timing misalignments. Based on the resulting SINR degradation, we evaluate the SINR gain with guard subcarriers in order to mitigate the effect of the symbol timing misalignments.
