This study aims to explore a recommended model of decision tree to predict a hard-to-measure measurement in anthropometric survey. We carry out an experiment on cross validation study to obtain a recommened model of decision tree. We use three split rules of decision tree, those are CHAID, Exhaustive CHAID, and CART. CART result is the best one in real world data.

This study deals with the unsignalized intersection delay in the urban transportation demand forecasting. The objectives are to develop the unsignalized intersection delay models and to comparatively analyze the applicability of the above models. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attentions to simulating by KHCS program and implementing the case study of Cheongju using EMME/2. The major findings are the followings. First, the 8 unsignalized intersection delay models were developed through 480 simulating results, which are all statistically significant. Second, the estimates by the unsignalized delay models were analyzed to be most fitted to the observed traffic volume data.

This study introduces the mother logit model to predict consumer's store choices. The model is not based on the IIA assumptions and thus accounts for substitution among similar alternatives. The choice data as an input to the model is obtained through the conjoint-type choice experiment. The model is applied to consumer's choice of fastfood stores in the context where new store enters the market. The analysis shows that the substitution effects are significant and therefore the mother logit model predicts better than the IIA model. The mother logit model will be useful as well for the market structure analysis in capturing cannibalization among several brands.

In this paper we introduce a novel database research area called science of databases (SoDB) and carry out a comprehensive analysis of its case studies. SoDB aims to better understand interesting phenomena observed across multiple database management systems (DBMSes). While mathematical and engineering work in the database field has been dominant, less attention has been given to scientific approaches through which DBMSes can be better understood. Scientific investigations can lead to better engineered designs through deeper understanding of query optimizers and transaction processing. The SoDB research has investigated several interesting phenomena observed across different DBMSes and provided several engineering implications based on our uncovered results. In this paper we introduce a novel scientific, empirical methodology and describe the research infrastructure to enable the methodology. We then review each of a selected group of phenomena studied and present an identified structural causal model associated with each phenomenon. We also conduct a comprehensive analysis on the case studies. Finally, we suggest future directions to expand the SoDB research.

최근 인터넷 기반의 웹 2.0의 시작으로 정보나 콘텐츠를 누구나 이용할 수 있는 인터넷환경이 제공되었다. 특히 소셜미디어를 통해 빠르게 공통관심사를 공유할 수 있는 커뮤니티를 구성하고 있으며, 온라인에서의 공동체는 개인의 정체성과 집단적 정체성을 교차하는 영역을 이루고 있다. 이러한 온라인 공동체에서 팬덤은 참여가 높고 사적 수준에서 결속력이 강한 공동체를 형성하는 집단이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문화 현상에서 유대관계가 강하게 형성된 '팬덤'이라는 이용자를 대상으로 이용동기 요인과 이에 따른 스타와의 상호작용을 통해 형성되는 커뮤니티의 충성도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보고자 한다. 커뮤니티 사례의 내용분석을 통해 팬덤의 일반화된 이용동기에 관해 살펴봄으로써 커뮤니티의 사용자 측면에서 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다.

This paper aimed to analyze the impact of temperature rising on the change of cultivation area and yields of apple. This study used apple data from statistical year book and climate data from Daegu, Uiseong, and Jangsu weather station. It was investigated whether temperature rising have had significant impact on apple. In the 1970s, the apple grew mostly in the southern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do between regions in and around Daegu and Gyeongsan. Recently, the cultivation area and yields of apple were concentrated on northern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do between regions in and around Uiseong and Mungyeong. The mean temperature from April to October is good in Uiseong and Jangsu. But the mean temperature from April to October is higher than optimal condition in Daegu. It means that temperature rising have a bad influence in apple cultivation. The daily temperature range is decreasing in Daegu and Jangsu, but it is increasing in Uiseong.

This study aims to examine how children's life satisfaction is interrelated with parents' life satisfaction longitudinally. Autoregressive cross-lagged model was employed to analyze the interrelationship between children's and parents' life satisfaction. This study used 6 waves (Elementary school 4th year to Middle school 3rd year) from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS). The sample size was 1,963 families with child and parent. Key findings are as follows: First, children's and parents' life satisfaction, respectively, was found to influence each other during the study period. Second, parents' life satisfaction were found to have positive and significant cross-lagged impacts on children's life satisfaction. Third, similarly, children's life satisfaction was positively related to parents' life satisfaction longitudinally. The findings suggest that children's and parents' life satisfaction are interrelated in an autoregressive cross-lagged model. This study concludes with implications for enhancing children's and parents' life satisfaction.

이 논문에서는 지구통계학적 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 자료 표현에서의 불확실성이 최종적인 공간통합에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 광물자원 탐사를 위한 공간통합 사례연구를 통해 시뮬레이션 결과에 따라 예측 능력의 차이가 나타남을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 결론적으로 지구통계학적 시뮬레이션이 공간 자료의 불확실성 모델링에 효율적으로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

This study suggests the conceptual basis to integrate local tourism support policy and local unification educational contents development strategy through theoretical analysis about 'Social Tourism' and 'cross-compliance'. Also the purpose of this study is to reinterpret existing tourism resources in order to apply it to the case of Busan. In this study, I investigated the data that have been studied in Pusanology and the history of Korean division. And I conducted interviews with 10 residents who have lived in Busan since the Korean War.

Safety accidents in university laboratories are constantly occurring due to various chemical, physical, and biohazard risk factors. In this study, the trend of accident occurrence and correlations between factors were derived through statistical and cross-analysis of 192 accident cases in university labs between 2016 and 2020. Directions and strategies were prepared from the correlations of major factors, and guidelines for improvement of the laboratory safety management system were suggested by comparing and analyzing existing policy directions for laboratory accidents.
