아파트, 사무소 공사용 리프트운용 안전교육이 근로자 사고에 미치는 영향

  • 아파트, 사무소 고층건물 공사시 리프트는 공사진척에 획기적 기여를 해왔다. 당연히, 이로 인한 년간사고가 적지 않았다. 한국산업안전공단 분기별 발행되는 중대재해 사고사례집에서 제시하고 있는 최근 5년간 리프트 사고통계에 의하면, 97년도 22건, 98년 15건, 99년 8건, 2000년 12건, 2001년 14건으로 조사되었다. 사고 기인별 내용으로는 물 자체의 결함, 안전방호장치결함, 복장·보호구의 결함, 물의배치 및 작업장의 불량, 작업환경의 결함, 생산공정의 결함, 경계표시 및 설비결함으로 나타났다.(중략)

Effects of maximum speed limit on Gyeongbu Expressway (경부고속도로 최고제한속도 상향에 따른 교통사고 영향 분석)

  • In September 2010, the Korea government increased the speed limit on the Gyeongbu Expressway (Cheonan IC.-Yangjae IC) from 100 to 110 km per hour. This paper considers ARIMA-Intervention model to analyze the effects of the speed limit change on the incidences of traffic accidents and injuries. In addition, in order to investigate the effects more clearly, we also analyze the difference between the two lines of Cheonan IC-Yangjae IC and Busan IC-Cheonan IC. As a result, we observe that the numbers of accidents and injuries have increased after the speed limit change. The increases are strikingly distinctive in comparison to other lines (Busan IC-Cheonan IC) where there have been no changes in the maximum speed limit.

A Study on Accident Prediction Models for Chemical Accidents Using the Logistic Regression Analysis Model (로지스틱회귀분석 모델을 활용한 화학사고 사상사고 예측모형 개발 연구)

  • Through this study, we developed a model for predicting chemical accidents lead to casualties. The model was derived from the logistic regression analysis model and applied to the variables affecting the accident. The accident data used in the model was analyzed by studying the statistics of past chemical accidents, and applying independent variables that were statistically significant through data analysis, such as the type of accident, cause, place of occurrence, status of casualties, and type of chemical accident that caused the casualties. A significance of p < 0.05 was applied. The model developed in this study is meaningful for the prevention of casualties caused by chemical accidents and the establishment of safety systems in the workplace. The analysis using the model found that the most influential factor in the occurrence of casualty in accidents was chemical explosions. Therefore, there is an urgent need to prepare countermeasures to prevent chemical accidents, specifically explosions, from occurring in the workplace.

Developing the Accident Models of Cheongju Arterial Link Sections Using ZAM Model (ZAM 모형을 이용한 청주시 간선가로 구간의 사고모형 개발)

  • This study deals with the traffic accident of the Cheongju arterial link sections. The purpose of the study is to develop the traffic accident model. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attentions to developing the ZAM(zero-altered model) model using the accident data of arterial roads devided by 322 small link sections. The main results analyzed by ZIP(zero inflated Poisson model) and ZINB(zero inflated negative binomial model) which are the methods of ZAM, are as follows. First, the evaluation of various developed models by the Vuong statistic and t statistic for overdispersion parameter ${\alpha}$ shows that ZINB is analyzed to be optimal among Poisson, NB, ZIP(zero-inflated Poisson) and ZINB regression models. Second, ZINB is evaluated to be statistically significant in view of t, ${\rho}$ and ${\rho}^2$ (0.63) values compared to other models. Finally, the accident factors of ZINB models are developed to be the traffic volume(ADT), number of entry/exit and length of median. The traffic volume(ADT) and the number of entry/exit are evaluated to be the '+' factors and the length of median to be '-' factor of the accident.

  • For 5 years and 6 months, ranging from January 2003 to June 2008, SPSS 12.0 Statistical Program was used to analyze the overall analysis, analysis of center line encroachment, analysis of signal violations, analysis of drinking while intoxicated, analysis of driving without license, analysis of two-wheel vehicle, analysis of pedestrian, analysis of safety equipment, analysis of traffic publicity or education and automobile registration accounts, and casualty of traffic accidents that are determined as having statistical implication based on the statistics available from the policy to take a look at traffic accident in the Daejeon area, and there were some meaningful results. With the proof that there is a certain level of ratio for the correlations between traffic control and traffic accident that the effect of traffic control has shown with certain time interval. The relationship of traffic control and the casualty of traffic accident has very low coefficient of correlations that it is not statistically noticeable that traffic control of the police has almost no effect in preventing traffic accident. This is a display of the fact that the conversion of direction for traffic safety measure undertaken to this point is rather urgent that there is a dire need of establishing the effective alternatives.

Analysing Astronomical Thinking of Elementary, Middle, and High School Students Using Ordered Multiple Choice Items (순위 선다형 문항을 이용한 초·중·고등학생의 천문학적 사고 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the astronomical thinking level of elementary, middle, and high school students using ordered multiple choice items. For this purpose, we constructed a questionnaire comprising three items about spatial thinking and system thinking. This survey was conducted and applied to 1,066 students in the 5th grade, 8th grade, and 11th grade in 12 schools located in Gangwon Province. The collected student response data were analyzed by applying inferential statistics of classical test theory and Rasch model. The results of the analysis were as follows; First, in the level of spatial thinking, students were able to grasp the spatial location and orientation of the celestial body, but were not able to convert the celestial motion of two-dimensional plane into three-dimensional plane, and it was revealed that there is no statistically significant difference in the spatial thinking of students among grade levels. Second, in the level of system thinking, students were able to identify the components and relationship between components of the celestial motion system, but could not identify the patterns of the system, and it was revealed that there was statistically significant difference among the system thinking of students in different grade levels, unlike in spatial thinking. Third, the astronomical thinking expressed in certain context (content) was very similar regardless of grade level, Through this, we could confirm the context-dependency or content-dependency of the astronomical thinking of students. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as basic data for exploring ways to enhance astronomical thinking level in school science classes.

Studies on the Officer's Feeling Response Data when the Ship Encounter Situaitons (선박 조우상황시 느끼는 해기사 반응 데이터의 통계처리에 관한 연구)

  • 2010년부터 최근 5년간 해양안전심판원의 충돌사고 통계분석 결과에 따르면 98%가 인적과실이 원인이 될 정도로 경계소홀 등 해기사에 의한 운항과실이 해양사고의 대부분을 차지하고 있으나 그동안 외국뿐만 아니라 국내에서도 이에 대한 연구는 극히 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 항해중인 선박이 타 선박과 6가지 유형(Head-on, $045^{\circ}$, $090^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$, Overtaking, Overtaken)의 다른 방위각으로 조우 상황시 양 선박의 거리가 가까워지면서 거리별 항해당직사관인 해기사가 느끼는 스트레스(주관적 위험도)를 실제 항해중인 선박에 승선하여 실험하였고 획득한 데이터를 통계적으로 분석 및 처리하였다. 데이터를 곡선적합(Curve fitting) 적용 결과 6가지 조우각도별 거리에 따른 연속 데이터 획득이 가능 하였고 인적과실의 주요 원인 중의 하나인 타 선박 조우 상황시 해기사가 느끼는 스트레스 일반화 모델을 위한 기초 식을 제안하였다. 이러한 결과는 향후 해기사의 인적과실을 줄여 해양사고 예방을 위한 기초 자료로 활용 할 수 있을 것이다.

An Analysis on the Gender Differences in the Level of Accident Risk using Generalized Linear and Heckman Methods (일반화선형모형과 헤크먼모형을 활용한 성별 자동차사고 위험도 분석)

  • Women's roles have changed substantially in economically developed countries; subsequently, the ratio of female drivers has also increased. In such countries, there has been considerable interest in assessing gender differences in vehicle accident risks and reasons to explain the gender differences. This study investigates the gender differences in vehicle accident risk based on 500,000 drivers randomly selected from a population sample. A Heckman model is used for accident damage and a negative binomial model is used for the accident frequency. Empirical results show that male drivers are 8.3% riskier than female drivers in terms of accident damage; however, female drivers are 113% risker than male drivers in term of accident frequency. We can implement more practical policies to reduce vehicle accidents if we can understand the reasons for the gender differences.

해양사고 인적오류 예방을 위한 해심 주제어 분석에 관한 고찰

  • 해양사고 원인의 대부분을 차지하는 인적오류 예방은 해양안전에 가장 중요하며 인적오류는 확률기반의 인적 모델을 구축하여 평가할 수 있다. 확률기반 인적 모델을 구축하기 위해 사건의 원인과 결과 사이에 연계성을 갖고 있는 통계 데이터가 필요하다. 이러한 데이터는 정부 공식통계로서 해양안전심판원에서 제공하는 재결서의 내용 분석을 통해 얻고자 하나, 측정변수가 너무 많아 계산량이 방대하다. 본 연구에서는 재결서 분석서의 원인판단에서 기준이 되는 해양안전심판원의 해양사고조사심판정보포털(이하 해심)에서 제공하는 재결서 내용의 핵심적인 내용으로 구성된 '주제어 '데이터를 활용하여 주제어에 포함된 핵심단어 분석절차를 수립하였다. 이들 단어가 구분형태별로 어떻게 분포된 상태인지 알아보고, 선박사고별로 최적으로 설명할 수 있는 단어 객체수를 검토해보고자 한다. 향후 축소된 차원으로도 해양사고 인적과실의 인과관계 설명이 가능하면, 인적모델의 측정변수를 결정하는 경우 쉽게 타당성을 확인 할 수 있어 해양안전을 위한 중요한 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

  • WHO의 통계에 따르면, 매년 350만여명의 지구촌 사람들이 질병이 아닌 불의의 사고, 폭력 등으로 인해 사망한다. 그 비율은 요즘 건강상의 큰 문제인 성인병의 다음을 차지하고 있다. 진정한 의미의 건강을 위해 이 "사고"의 문제도 결코 간과할 수 없다고 판단한 WHO는 올해 보건의 날 주제를 "부상"으로 선정하고 이의 예방을 위해 나섰다. 본 내용은 WHO가 발표한 자료를 요약한 것으로, 앞으로 약 4회에 걸쳐 연재할 계획이다.
