The Cost Structure of the Lines of Urban Railway (도시철도 노선의 비용구조 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the degree of cost inefficiency for the urban railway lines of a metropolitan city operated by public institutions in Korea and identify the causes of this inefficiency. To this end, we assume that the urban railway lines produce the output of train-km by putting three production factors of labor, electric power and maintenance and set the variable cost function model with the translog function to make a stochastic cost frontier analysis. Based on estimated result, we conclude that the cost savings for 6 years of all lines are about 6,672 hundred million won and top five lines with high inefficiency are Busan Line1, Daegu Line1, Daejeon Line1, Gwangju Line1, and Daegu Line2. The causes of inefficiency are attributable to labor and maintenance factors. The results of this study can be useful in case of finding the priorities of measures and specific plans for reducing labor and maintenance costs in the urban railway operation.

A Study on the Selection of a Bridge Structure Type Using DEA and LCC (DEA기법과 LCC개념을 활용한 교량형식 선정 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) was carried out on the four bridges, which have the same extension (L=1,615m), in order to select the most superior, economical method of construction using the LCC concept of each bridge structure in the case of the Ulsan-Pohang double track railway which is scheduled to be constructed. DEA models were analyzed with the CCR model, which was designed for the evaluation of relative efficiency of each model. The initial construction costs, maintenance costs, indirect costs (user costs + indirect loss of social costs), and life cycle costs were used as input variables, and average duration was applied as the output variable. LCC was applied to calculate the input variables, and to get the costs of LCC, 100 years of period and 4.83% of real discount rate were applied, and the costs are classified into initial construction, maintenance, user, and indirect loss of social cost. The analysis results showed that the Method 2 and 3 were evaluated as the most efficient, and the other alternatives were evaluated as the following order; Method 1, the default, and Method 4.

  • 본 논문은 이더리움 네트워크에 트랜잭션 발행 시 발생하는 부하(비용)을 줄이기 위해 스마트 콘트랙트를 효율적으로 구성하는 방식에 대해 연구한다. 이더리움 네트워크에 부하를 줄이기 위해서는 발생되는 트랜잭션의 양도 중요하지만 발생하는 트랜잭션의 크기가 작은 효율적인 스마트 콘트랙트 배포와 간단한 구조를 가진 함수를 호출하는 것도 중요하다. 그렇기 때문에 이더리움 스마트 콘트랙트의 구조에 따른 성능 평가를 진행하여 최적의 성능을 보이는 스마트 컨트랙트 구성 방법에 대해 연구를 진행한다. 최적의 성능은 동일한 데이터를 넣을 수 있는 상황에 대해 평가하며 평가 방식은 데이터를 블록체인에 저장 할 때 발생하는 가스 비용 비교를 통해 결정한다. 스마트 콘트랙트의 성능 평가 항목으로는 콘트랙트 배포와 함수 호출시 데이터의 구조, 개수에 따른 가스 비용의 비교 분석을 통해 최저의 가스 비용으로 함수 호출 및 스마트 콘트랙트 생성 및 배포 시키는 구조에 대해 연구를 진행한다.

  • Decommissioning cost estimation is a very important technique in designing and planning of nuclear facilities' decommissioning. Decommissioning cost estimation should be made according to the phases of decommissioning activities and installed components of nuclear facilities. In this paper, the basic framework necessary for decommissioning cost estimation is completed so that it could be used as a technique for decommissioning costs estimation by specifying cost items and group components and unit cost factors on which work time is calculated. Also, factors to be considered for decommissioning cost estimation of major activities and tasks are reviewed. Afterwards, these techniques will be utilized as a basic technology to establish methodology of decommissioning cost estimation and evaluation.

  • The Financial Cost in construction industry today is tend to increasing the burden of business management on account of lowered profit due to the mege-competition and decreasing investment of construction, multi-interfacing. system in it's attribute and various unreasonable governeing enactments. It is becoming the most important aspects for the management of construction business on how to preserve the profit from the various risks. The ultimate aims of this study is to pursue the contractual equity between the parties by establishing the fundamentals of framework for the compensation of Financial Charges through the review of the precedent studies and analysis of inquiries. As a result of the study, improvable measures for any practical inequality and/or institutional defects of current public contract system in recovering the Financial Cost incurred to Contractor are delivered as below; (1) $\lceil$Working Rules for Construction Industry Accounting Standards$\rfloor$ shall be amended and supplemented so as the incurred interest to be recognized as an operative cost by live return over the collection period. (2) The long-term phase contract system of which is enforcing contractor to bear the certain losses shall be diminished and/or abolished gradually. (3) The unreasonable legislations on compensation for financial cost in contract conditions shall be improved in response to practical circumstances. (4) The use of Critical-Path Method for Time Management shall be activated together with EVMS. (5) Independent application of Contract Enactments for construction industry shall be adopted.

  • 그리드 및 P2P 컴퓨팅 시스템과 같이 이종 시스템으로 연결된 환경을 관리하기 위해서 사용되는 미들웨어 및 운영체제의 복잡도의 증가로 인해 시스템 관리 비용이 증가하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시스템 관리 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 시스템 구조적 접근 방식을 채택한다. 이질 컴퓨팅 환경을 통합하기 위해 XML 기반 기술을 사용하여 사람의 개입을 최소화할 수 있는 방법에 대해 제안하며, 적용 사례를 통해 제안된 구조와 기법에 대한 검증을 수행한다.

  • VLIW에서는 프로그램 코드를 병렬화 하는 작업이 모두 컴파일러에 의해서만 이루어진다. 따라서 병렬로 수행될 연산어들을 명시적으로 나타내 주어야 하며, 이를 위한 명령어 인코딩 방식으로 전개 인코딩 방식과 압축 인코딩 방식이 사용되어 왔다. 각 인코딩 방식들은 명령어의 적재 및 검색을 위해 서로 다른 캐쉬 구조를 필요로 하는데, 전개 인코딩 방식으로 비압축 캐쉬를 압축 인코딩 방식으로 압축 캐쉬를 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이들은 각각 무효 연산어로 인한 메모리 활용 효율 저하와 복원 과정으로 인한 명령어 인출 오버헤드의 증가라는 문제점을 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 부분적으로 명령어 길이를 일정하게 유지하는 부분 압축 인코딩을 사용해 메모리 활용 효율을 높이는 동시에 명령어 인출 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있는 분할 캐쉬 구조를 제안한다. 각 캐쉬 구조를 구현하는데 필요한 칩 영역을 계산하여, 분할 캐쉬가 비교적 비용 효율적인 캐쉬 구조임을 확인하였다. 모의 실험을 통한 메모리 활용 효율 측정 결과 하드웨어 비용의 증가를 고려하더라도 분할 캐쉬는 비압축 캐쉬에 비해 최고 약 3배의 메모리 활용 효율을 얻을 수 있었다. 각 캐쉬 구조를 일차 캐쉬로 하는 VLIW 시스템들의 성능 측정 결과는 TCSC(블록 집중형 분할 캐쉬)를 사용한 시스템이 비용 대비 성능 면에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

Application of probabilistic VE/LCC Analysis Models for Quay Wall Structures (안벽구조물의 확률론적 VE/LCC 분석모델 적용방안)

  • It is common that the analysis of VE/LCC is performed in design phase of quay wall structures. The analysis is mainly executed based on experience and engineering sense of expert considering the selection of construction method, construction and maintenance cost. Recently there are increasing demands on the analysis that includes uncertainty and vulnerability of input parameters, for this purpose, fuzzy reliability based probabilistic VE/LCC analysis model for quay wall structures is suggested. In VE/LCC analysis for quay wall structures, the application of probabilistic analysis method give very similar results compare with those of deterministic analysis method. It is anticipated that the methodology proposed in this paper can also be utilized in the design and maintenance phase of other facilities where decision making is made for the probabilistic life cycle cost and value analysis.
