This paper is on a new adaptive algorithm which can cancel the acoustic feedback signals in the digital hearing aids. The proposed algorithm uses the normalized LMS algorithm with decorrelators. By doing so, it can be reduced the autocorrelation for the voice signals. To analyze the convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm, the simulations were carried out about various input signals. And we had compared the performances of convergence for this algorithm with the ones for the NLMS algorithm. As the results of simulations, it is proved that the feedback canceller adopting this algorithm shows about 5-10 dB more high SNR than the NLMS algorithm for the colored inputs.

In this paper, a performance of a decorrelating detector for a multirate MC(multi-carrier) DS/CDMA system is analyzed and simulated in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. The performance is compared with that of single rate MC-DS/CDMA system in term of bit error probability. Variable Spreading Length (VSL) is employed for MC-DS/CDMA system as multirate transmission scheme. From simulation result, it is shown that Decorrelator for multirate MC-DS/CDMA achieves high BER performance as well as that of single rate case.

In this paper, we proposed the stereo-10.2channel blind upmix algorithm for the enhanced 3D sound. Recently, consumers want to enjoy better sound and the use of a various of multichannel configuration has been steadily improved. Thus, upmix algorithms have been researched. However, conventional upmix algorithms have the problem that distorts the spatial information of original source. To solve this problem and enhance the spatial sound quality, we proposed front and rear channel gain adjustment and 10.2 channel upmix algorithm for each additional channel. The listening test results show that it maintains spatial information of stereo input and enhances 3D sound effects unlike other conventional upmix algorithms.
