GP Modeling of Nonlinear Electricity Demand Pattern based on Machine Learning (기계학습 기반 비선형 전력수요 패턴 GP 모델링)

  • The emergence of the automated smart grid has become an essential device for responding to these problems and is bringing progress toward a smart grid-based society. Smart grid is a new paradigm that enables two-way communication between electricity suppliers and consumers. Smart grids have emerged due to engineers' initiatives to make the power grid more stable, reliable, efficient and safe. Smart grids create opportunities for electricity consumers to play a greater role in electricity use and motivate them to use electricity wisely and efficiently. Therefore, this study focuses on power demand management through machine learning. In relation to demand forecasting using machine learning, various machine learning models are currently introduced and applied, and a systematic approach is required. In particular, the GP learning model has advantages over other learning models in terms of general consumption prediction and data visualization, but is strongly influenced by data independence when it comes to prediction of smart meter data.

Comparative Analysis of Perception of Museum Tourists applying Gamification using Social Media Big Data (소셜미디어 빅데이터를 활용한 게이미피케이션 적용 박물관 관람객 인식 비교 분석)

  • This paper analyzes museum-related big data using museums and gamification using social media big data, identifies and compares the perceptions of visitors mentioned in social media, and presents ways to use gamification. Based on the collected data, this paper aims to provide data by comparing and analyzing the perception of visitors to the museum and visitors to the museum using gamification. This paper investigates the perception of visitors through social media analysis using TEXTOM, a social media analysis tool, to identify differences in perception. As a result of the analysis, it was found that compared to museums that were previously viewed in the form of exhibitions, they felt fun and interest in visiting museums using geikipication. In addition, based on the analysis results of keywords and related keywords, the perception, motivation, and type of viewing of the museum of the National Museum of Korea and the Independence Hall of Korea were confirmed. In addition, it can be seen that the sense of achievement of visitors who visited the museum using gamification is higher than that of the existing museum. It is believed that by developing and activating game-related content in future museum visits, many visitors will be able to increase their interest in the museum and feel fun and interested. The results of the study are believed to be meaningful as basic data to grasp the overall perception of visitors to the museum, and based on this, it is expected that visitors will be able to see and experience the museum in various ways.

Neutral Data Generation Algorithm for EPC-based Manufacturing Process Collaboration (EPC 기반의 제조 공정 협업을 위한 중립 데이터 생성 알고리즘)

  • In highly complex EPC(engineering, procurement, construction)-based manufacturing processes such as shipbuilding and marine plants, it is essential to prepare a way to enable organic working at the site referring to each other's detailed working data for collaboration between partner companies. However, companies cannot share the progress of the sites including working information in real-time due to the use of SW unique to each company and the complex site management system. As a result, the construction process is delayed, and resources are used inefficiently. This study developed a neutral data generation algorithm that can apply the working information in various file formats to a collaborative manufacturing process. In addition, this study verified the accuracy of the algorithm by applying the developed algorithm to the manufacturing process of piping in shipbuilding and marine plants, developing the SW for visualization of working information using the generated neutral data, and comparing the coordinate, shape & dimension and the kind, number, and spec. of BOM. The result confirmed that the accuracy of the coordinate of the neutral data was 99%, and that of the shape & dimension of the neutral data and BOM Spec. was both 100%. It is thought that this study can be used for overcoming the restrictions in information sharing due to the development of informatization at companies and maximizing the share of working file information in a complex manufacturing process.

Design of an Efficient Coarse Frequency Estimator Using a Serial Correlator for DVB-S2 (직렬 상관기를 이용한 디지털 위성방송 주파수 추정회로 설계)

  • This paper proposes an efficient coarse frequency synchronizer for digital video broadcasting - second generation (DVB-S2). The input signal requirement of acquisition range for coarse frequency estimator in the DVB-S2 is around ${\pm}1.5625Mhz$, which corresponds to 6.25% of the symbol rate at 25Mbaud. At the process of analyzing the robust algorithm among data-aided approaches, we find that the Luise & Reggiannini (L&R) algorithm is the most promising one for coarse frequency estimation with respect to estimation performance and complexity. However, it requires many multipliers and adders to compute output values of correlators. We propose an efficient architecture identifying the serial correlator with the buffer and multiplexers. The proposed coarse frequency synchronizer can reduce the hardware complexity about 92% of the direct implementation. The proposed architecture has been implemented and verified on the Xilinx Virtex II FPGA.
