휴대폰 카메라용 비구면 Glass 렌즈 전사특성 분석 (Transcription Characteristics in the Molding of Aspheric Glass Lenses for Camera Phone Module)

  • The transcription characteristics in the molding of aspheric glass lenses for camera phone modules have been investigated experimentally. The surface topographies of both the form and the roughness were compared between the mold and the molded lens. The molded lens showed a transcription ratio of 93.4%, which is obtained by comparing the form accuracy (PV) values of the mold and the molded lens. The transcription of the roughness topography was ascertained by bearing ratio analysis.

  • The present study covers an integrated simulation method to evaluate optical performance of an aspheric plastic lens by connecting an injection molding analysis with a ray tracing simulation. Traditional ray tracing methods have based on the assumption that the optical properties of a lens are homogeneous throughout the entire volume. This assumption is to a certain extent unrealistic for injection-molded plastic lenses because material properties vary at every point due to the injection molding effects. To take into account the effects of the inhomogeneous optical properties of the molded lens, a numerical scheme is developed to calculate the distribution of refractive index induced from the injection molding process. This index distribution is then reflected onto CODE $V^{(R)}$ simulation and used to calculate ray paths in inhomogeneous media. The proposed tracing scheme is implemented on the tracing of an aspheric lens for a mobile phone camera module.

  • In this paper, new aspherical surface polishing mechanism is suggested to polish aspherical glass lens mold by both airbag polishing tool and reverse-rotational eccentric motion. Up to now, conventional aspherical lens polishing method by the small tool polishing uses the aspherical surface profile and the trajectory of the polishing tool is also controlled. However, full contact concept by airbag polishing tool and no position control make the easy polishing setup and does not need aspherical design profile. An aspherical lens polishing machine was made for this study and a tool mark removal experiment fur the fine-grounded lens mold was successfully performed.

  • Electronic or measuring instruments equipped with aspherical lens have recently been used since aspherical lens is more effective than spherical one. for the mass production of aspherical lenses, specific molds with precisely machined cores should be prepared. Some researches on the aspherical lens machining have been carried out to date. However, ultra-precise finding of aspherical or mold core has not been fully studied. In this study, the ultra-precise grinding and evaluating system were established to investigate the finding characteristics of aspherical lenses. Unlike conventional grinding process, since a highly-precise lathe were operated in a clean room without vibration the experimental results can be very useful for further studies on ultra-precise grinding process.

  • Code V was used to make a plan for collimator lens with aspherical surface in the present study. The acquired optical design data were applied for ultra-precision machining. The optimum properties were determined to find ways to compensate the tool positioning error allowance during the ultra-precision machining. In ultra-precision aspheric machining, figure tolerance corrected by tool positioning error be improved by compensation cycle number.

  • In order to determine the aberration coefficients of an aspheric lens with a small diameter, its transmitted wavefront was compensated with a null CGH and an auxiliary convex lens. The configuration of the measuring system and the fabrication step of CGHs could be simplified by using a reflective amplitude-type CGH as null optics. The compensated waterfronts of several sample lenses were measured and analyzed, and consequently the performance of the CGH was evaluated.

  • MR fluid can change viscosity in the presence of a magnetic field. A characteristic of MR fluid is reduced scattering during jetting. For these reasons a MR fluid jet polishing system can be used for ultra-precision polishing. In the current paper, the polishing path was calculated considering the aspherical lens profile equation and the experimental conditions for the MR fluid jet polishing system. Then the polishing of an aspherical lens mold core using the MR fluid jet polishing system with the calculated path control was made and the results were compared before and after polishing.
