This is a comparative cultural study on the cultural dimensions of the Korean original film and its Chinese remake film. This research is based on the cultural dimension study by Dutch organizing psychologist Geert Hofstede (1991). In this research I have tried to compare cultural dimensions that are shown implicitly in the original Korean film of "Blind" and its Chinese remake, entitled "The Witness", in terms of the narrative structures.

제품의 “감성이미지”란 제품의 기능과 함께 제품의 전달하는 감각적 요소 그리고 사용자가 제품을 통해 표현하고자 하는 개념적 표상을 통합하는 이미지이다. 감성이미지의 국제 비교 연구는 사용자가 특정 제품에 대해 가지고 있는 이미지를 구가나 문화의 맥락 속에서 해석하고, 이들 이미지를 상호 비교 평가하고자 한다. 생활문하 속에서 사용자들이 제품에 대해 가지는 감성이미지를 계량적으로 규명하고 비교 평가하며, 이 정보를 기초로 각국의 문화와 정서에 적합한 제품 디자인의 모형을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구활동으로 다음과 같은 방법이 제시되었다. 먼저, 각 문화 집단을 특징 지울 수 있는 표상개념으로 “언어 이미지” 스케일을 구성하였다. 이 언어 이미지에 대응하는 디자인 요소로 색채를 활용하여, 언어 개념과 색채 요소에 상응하는 자동차 제품의 감성 이미지가 각 문화 집단에 따라 상이하게 나타날 수 있는지를 비교하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 각 문화 집단들이 특정 제품에 대해 적용하는 감성 이미지는 언어와 색체 요소로 구체화 될 뿐 아니라, 이들 집단이 형성한 사회적 표상(social representation)의 개념으로 비교될 수 있는 것을 보이고자 하였다.

It has been known that it shows the negative correlation between social comparison and happiness. Nevertheless, the correlation depends on self-concept and motivation of comparison which a person take. Current study examined the effect of cultural self-concept (interdependent self, subjective-objective self) on social comparison and happiness (subjective well-being and psychological well-being), Total 2000 among 30-69 years old respondents participated in this survey. We found that, first, people with high interdependent self feel less happiness as they take more social comparison, but the people with low interdependent self do not show the relational pattern. Second, people with objective self show the negative correlation with happiness and social comparison, but there is no correlation with happiness and social comparison among people with subjective self. The implication for study were discussed.

Two investigations were carried out to understand the relationship between self-enhancement bias and psychological adjustment. In study 1, a scale for measuring the self-enhancement bias was constructed and the relationship between self-enhancement bias and psychological adjustment was examined in Korean college students. The relationship between two variables was significant in Korean college students. At study 2, college students and laborers in Korea and Germany participated to examine the relationship between two variables. It was significant both samples. This is very interesting result because it is reverse the existing outcomes that there are no self-enhancement bias and no relationship between self-enhancement and psychological adjustment in collective cultures. It is need to develop more refined measure tool and to do comparison with various cultures for more profound research on self-enhancement bias and cultural difference.

출판문화학회지인 '출판잡지연구' (발행인 전영표) 11호가 발간됐다. 이 연구지는 1990년에 창설된 출판문화학회의 정기 학술연구지로 출판 잡지문화의 역사에서부터 현황 등 문제점에 관한 깊이 있는 연구논문을 싣고 있다. 이번 연구지에는 전영표 발행인의 '출판 잡지 윤리강령과 실천요강의 재구축 , 한서대 이용성 교수의 '공공영역의 쇠퇴와 지식인잡지에 대한 연구 등 8편의 논문이 게재돼 있다. 본지에서는 동원대 출판미디어과 부길만 교수의 '안성판 경판 완판방각본의 비교연구' 를 요약 소개한다.

본 연구에서는 고맥락 문화의 대표국인 일본과 저맥락 문화의 대표국인 미국에서 제작되고 있는 소녀 대상 만화의 표현 발달과 성립에 대한 비교분석을 하였다. 동서양 문화권에 따른 비교연구는 소녀만화 표현 매커니즘에 대한 정서적 차이를 구명할 수 있으며, 그 표현영역 확장에도 근거를 제시할 수 있다고 사료된다. 특히, 소녀만화의 표현 매커니즘의 가장 기본이 되는 <칸의 구조>를 살펴보는 것은 소녀 대상 만화를 보다 자생력있는 문화콘텐츠로 육성하기 위한 이론적 토대가 될 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구는 아동의 일상 심리학이 그들의 문화에 따라 다르게 나타나는지를 알아보고자 한 것이다. 이러한 발달적 보편성의 문제를 해결하기 위해, 우선 한국 아동과 미국 아동의 타인 행동에 대한 설명을 비교하였다. 또한 서로 다른 문화를 반영할 수 있는 분석 틀을 고안하여. 이러한 서로 다른 분석 틀에 따라 두 나라 아동의 행동설명이 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지를 비교하였다. 본 연구에서는 미국식 범주인 '내적-외적' 법주와 한국식 범주인 '개인-관계-상황' 범주를 사용하였다. 연구결과. 두 나라의 아동은 타인의 행동설명에서 차이를 보여주었다. 미국 아동은 한국 아동에 비해 심리 '내적' 요인과 '개인적' 요인을 더 많이 사용하였으며. 한국 아동은 타인의 '상황적' 조건을 더 많이 고려하여 행동을 설명하였다. 그러나 두 문화권의 아동은 행동설명 과제에서 모두 '내적' 요인과 '개인적' 요인을 다른 요인보다 더 많이 선호하였으며. 오직 '상황적' 요인의 고려에서만 발달적 차이를 나타내는 공통점을 보여주었다.
