Moru (wild grape), blueberry, bokbunja (blackberry), and blackcurrant were mixed with domestic Campbell Early grapes to improve the quality of domestic wines made from the grape. The color of the Campbell wine was greatly darkened by mixing it with the fruits. The L-value of the wine color during fermentation was lowered from 34 to $6{\sim}13$ by mixing it with 20% bokbunja or blackcurrant. In addition, the a-value of the wine color during fermentation was lowered from 54 to $36{\sim}46$ by mixing it with 20% bokbunja or blackcurrant. The mixing of moru or blueberry also lowered the L- and a-values, but this darkening effect was not higher than that of the Campbell wine that was mixed with bokbunja and black currant. The polyphenol concentration of the wine was greatly increased by mixing it with black currant and bokbunja. The blackcurrant mixed wine had a polyphenol concentration as high as 1.87 mg/mL, whereas the wine made from the Campbell Early grapes alone contained only 1.02 mg/mL of polyphenols after 15 days of fermentation. A sensory evaluation showed that the quality of Campbell wine was the least favorable among different grapes, but its quality was greatly improved by mixing it with bokbunja, black currant, and moru.
To evaluate the basic characteristics and adsorption properties of commercial wood charcoal, we investigated the proximate analysis, porosimetry analysis, methylene blue adsorption, removal ratios of formaldehyde, and removal ratio of ethylene gas. Fixed carbon contents of traditional black and white charcoal, and mechanical charcoal were 51.8~76.6%, 72.9~84.6%, and 48.5~80.3%, respectively. Refining degrees of the most traditional black charcoal were 9, and those of white charcoal and mechanical charcoals were zero. Specific surface area of traditional black charcoal was 0.1~13.7 $m^2/g$, which was quite lower than that of white charcoal (53.2~372.6 $m^2/g$) and mechanical charcoals (224.3~464.6 $m^2/g$). Also, amounts of methylene blue adsorption were quite lower in black charcoal (0.53~1.97 mg/g) compared with white charcoal (2.68~7.68 mg/g) and mechanical charcoal (11.63~26.10 mg/g). Removal ratios of formaldehyde of the black charcoal were 11.4~26.7%, which is quite similar to white charcoal (17.9~34.9%) and mechanical charcoal (5.5~25.8%). Removal ratios of ethylene gas for traditional black charcoal, traditional white charcoal, and mechanical charcoal were 2.2~43.5%, 21.7~39.1%, 21.7~39.1%, respectively. There was no significant difference in the removal ratios of formaldehyde and ethylene gas among traditional black charcoal, traditional white charcoal, and mechanical charcoal.
To investigate the pyrolytic and anatomical characteristics of Korean softwood, Pinus densi-flora, Pinus rigida and Larix leptolepis, and hardwood, Acer palntatum, Fraxinus rhynchophylla and Quercus variabilis, chemical components analysis, TG-DTA (Thermogravimetric Analysis & Differential Thermal Analysis), MBA (Methylene Blue Adsorption) test and SEM observation were carried out. For TG-DTA, samples were carbonized up to $800^{\circ}C$ at the heating rate of $10^{\circ}C$/min under $N_2$ flows 1 l/min using thermogravimetric analyzer. Chemical component analysis of all samples resulted in typical contents of major wood component. In TG-DTA results, softwood showed higher char yield than hardwood, and lignin displayed the highest char yield among the major wood components. All samples showed typical TGA, DTG and DTA curves for wood pyrolysis except a few differences between softwood and hardwood. Content of lignin influenced its pyrolysis characteristics, while molecular structure of lignin affected not only the weight loss but also the yield of char. In MBA test results, MBA of softwoods was higher than that of hardwoods. Char of Pinus densiflora showed the highest MBA, but its degree was lower than activated carbon or fine charcoal about 23 and 4 times, respectively. SEM observation showed carbonization process preserves wood structure and retain the micro-structure of wood fibers.
Hydrochar has been generated from food waste via hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) reaction. As a solid product of HTC reaction, hydrochar has a great potential as an adsorbent of pollutants from the various media. The surface area and pore volumes are very important parameters to be served as an adsorbent. It requires an expensive equipment and consumes time to measure those parameter. Therefore, titration methods including iodine and methylene blue adsorption were evaluated to be correlated with that of BET analysis. Even though the absolute values of the computed surface area and pore volumes were not able to be matched directly, the patterns of change were successfully correlated. Among the reaction conditions, the reaction time and temperature at $230^{\circ}C$ for 4 h was determined as an optimization condition, which confirmed by titration method and BET analysis. Titration method for surface area and pore volumes computed by combination of iodine and methylene blue adsorbing values would be a simple and fast way of determining the optimization condition for hydrochar as an adsorbent produced by HTC reaction.

Finding the blood left at a crime scene is very important to reconstruct or solve a criminal case. Although numerous reagents have been developed for use at crime scenes, luminol is the most representative. Bluestar Forensic has been used in recent years, but is expensive and cannot be stored after preparation. This study aims to develop a new luminol reagent that can be stored for a long period of time while maintaining the chemiluminescence intensity at the level of Bluestar Forensic. Because luminol dissolves well in aqueous alkaline solutions, the use of sodium hydroxide in the preparation of luminol reagents can promote the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Magnesium sulfate, sodium silicate, and potassium triphosphate have been used as hydrogen peroxide stabilizers. The effects of the addition of these substances on the chemiluminescence emission intensity and the storage period of the luminol reagents were confirmed. The addition of a hydrogen peroxide stabilizer was shown to have no significant affect on the chemiluminescence emissions intensity or stabilized pH of the luminol reagent during storage. It also greatly increases the shelf life of the reagents. The use of magnesium sulfate as a hydrogen peroxide stabilizer is the most appropriate. When sodium perborate is used instead of hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent, there is no significant change in the sensitivity and chemiluminescence emissions intensity, but the storage period is shortened. However, after the reaction with blood, the pH of the mixed solution does not increase significantly, and is judged to be more suitable than a reagent made of hydrogen peroxide.

The present study was carried out to explore the potential effect of shading degrees on yields and nutritive values of forage in forest-grassland. This experiment was conducted this study under different natural shading at National Institute of Animal Science, Cheonan province in Korea, for 2 years (from 2015 to 2016). This experiment was consisted of four different shading degrees, such as full sunlight (control, 10% below), 25% of shading, 35% of shading, 50% of shading. Pasture species used in this study were orchardgrass 'Kodiwin', perenial ryegrass 'Linn', tall fescue 'Purumi', kentuky bluegrass 'Kenblue', and white clover 'Ladino'. Botanical composition of orchardgrass was higher than that of perenial ryegrass, tall fescue and kentuky bluegrass. Dry matter (DM) yields of forage decreased as increasing shading degrees. DM yields of forage significantly decreased as increasing shading degrees and lots of cutting times under increasing shading degrees decreased DM yields of forage. The content of crude protein increased as increasing shading degrees and the contents of acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), the activity of total digestible nutrient (TDN) and in-vitro digestibility (IVD), and relative feed value (RFV) were similar in control and different shading. This study suggests that orchardgrass is major component for forest-grassland and establishment of orchardgrass can be improved by increasing shading degrees.
This study surveyed Gyeongan Stream, a tributary of the Han River Drainage System, from April to October 2017 to investigate the characteristics of fish communities. The survey collected 40 species of 11 families from 48 survey stations using kick nets and cast nets. The dominant and subdominant species were Zacco platypus (48.0%) and Rhynchocypris oxycephalus (17.7%), respectively. The next most abundant species were Pungtungia herzi (6.8%), Z. koreanus (5.0%), Carassius auratus (4.3%), Squalidus gracilis majimae (2.7%), and Rhodeus notatus (2.5%). Among the fish collected, 14 species (35.0%) were Korean endemic species, and the exotic species were Micropterus salmoides, Lepomis macrochirus, and Cyprinus carpio (Israeli type). The land-locked species were Plecoglossus altivelis, Rhinogobius brunneus, and Cottus koreanus, while the species sensitive to climate change was C. koreanus. The community analysis showed that the dominance was higher at the uppermost stream station, whereas diversity and abundance tended to be lower at the upstream station and higher toward the downstream station. The community structure was largely divided into rivers (uppermost stream, upstream, and middle-lower stream) and lake. The river health was mostly good (23 stations, 47.9%) and fair (15 stations, 31.3%). Comparison with past surveys showed that 12 species identified in the past surveys did not appear in this survey; nine species appeared for the first time in this survey; and the ecosystem disturbance species - M. salmoides and L. macrochirus - tended to spread more widely gradually.

The Prussian Blue Analogue(PBA) has three dimensional structure and the metal - organic framework material, and it has a variety configurations depending on the type of organic ligands. PBA has been receving an attention in the fields of biosensors, optical, catalytic, and hydrogen storage device. Also, it is an environmental friendly substance with a chemical stability. In addition, PBA is widely used in the filed of adsorption art since we can adjust the size of the fine pores. In this study, we synthesized $Mn_3[Fe(CN)_6]_2$, an organometallic framework chains by using a hydrothermal synthesis method. We used $K_4[Fe(CN)_6]$ and $MnCl_2$ as precursors. We also produced a manganese iron oxide, by baking the synthesized material. The effect of the size and shape of the particles was examined by controling pH of the precursor solution, the molar concentration of the precursor, and reaction time as the experimental variables. Synthesized absorbent was analyzed by XRD, SEM, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and TG / DTA to evaluate the adsorption properties of several dyes.

Basing on Piconet, The Bluetooth System forms network and transmits data. There is one Master and maximum 7 Slave bluetooth devices in one piconet. A job scheduler performed by Master bluetooth device, gives the chance of data transmission to Slave bluetooth devices, which connected to Master, using polling method in piconet. The maximum data rate is 723.2 kb/s when it uses ACL link with DH5 packet type in a piconet which is constructed by two bluetooth devices. However, if there are one master and two slave devices in a piconet, then the maximum data rate is reduced to a half(361.6kb/s), because a master device has to support same data rate for all connected devices. And, there is the defect in scatternet when data transmission rate becomes low(Maximum rate: 302.2kb/s). This paper proposals the new ad-hoc network topology called "DoublePico"for overcome the low data transmission in scatternet which is constructed by piconets. The method of doublepico that represented in this paper makes high data transfer rate(Maximum rate: 457.57kb/s) in bluetooth ad-hoc networks.

Sensor and optical properties have become critical features in powder foundation. The flaky barium sulfate powder shows good smooth texture, adhesion and natural looking characteristics. However, it has limitations abilities in UV shielding, hiding and blooming effect. Thus we adopt TiO$_2$ that has excellent hiding power and blooming effect as well as UV shielding ability, but TiO$_2$ has still intrinsic problems in dispersion and texture. To overcome this disadvantages, the barium sulfate/TiO$_2$/dimethicone composite powder was prepared. The flaky barium sulfate powder was coated with TiO$_2$ in nanoscale and followed by coated with dimethicone. When this surface-modified powder was applied for make-up cosmetics, especially in powder foundation, the powder gave powder foundation more good characteristics than the original flaky barium sulfate, Ti02 powder, dimethicone in abovementioned optical and sensory properties. To characterize the distinctive features of this surface-modified powder, we measured its characteristics with UV in vitro tester, hiding powder test method, goniophotometer, consumer panel test and so on.
