Issues and Improvement Methods of the Bridge Tab in Customer Premises Telecommunications Facilities for High-Speed Communication Network (초고속통신망을 위한 구내통신 설로설비의 브릿지 탭의 문제점과 개선 방안)

  • The position of the bridged tap is determined by that of the outlet in most modern apartments, since most of the indoor wiring utilizes the bus wiring structure when deploying the indoor communication line. These bridged taps deteriorate transmission performance in the specific frequency at the time of high-speed multimedia communication, which uses a high frequency bandwidth, since the duality of return loss worsens and line attenuation increases rapidly. As a result, analysis on this phenomenon is required. In this study, the test model is created by modeling the intercommunication facility of the apartment that is the most representative residential house type, and by understanding the structure and the environment of the indoor wiring. Also, how the bridge tap affects performance is analyzed when the VDSL service is provided, so that problems of intercommunication lines can be identified and methods for improving the proper intercommunication line can be suggested, which is suitable for accommodating high-speed multimedia service of the future.

  • 본 논문에서는 위상 천이 풀 브릿지 컨버터와 공진형 하프 브릿지 컨버터를 통합한 구조에서 새로운 센터탭 클램프 회로를 적용하였다. 하프 브릿지 컨버터가 통합되어 있는 구조를 통하여 기존 위상 천이 풀 브릿지 컨버터가 가지고 있는 여러 단점을 개선할 수 있으며, 또한 제안하는 클램프 회로를 통해 이차측 전압 스트레스 및 출력 커패시터의 사이즈 측면에서 개선점을 갖는다. 이러한 장점들을 통해 효율과 비용 측면에서 큰 효과를 갖는다. 3.3 kW 의 프로토타입을 통해 실험으로 검증하였다.

  • 기존 위상 변조 PWM 풀 브릿지 컨버터들의 단점인 큰 순환전류, 심각한 이차측 전압 스트레스 및 스위칭 손실, 그리고 큰 출력 필터 문제를 개선할 수 있는 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 변압기의 2차측 센터탭에 축전기와 정류기로 구성된 클램핑 회로를 연결한 구조이다. 매우 간단한 구조를 통해 순환전류를 제거하고 이차측 전압 스트레스를 낮출 수 있으며, 정류단의 스위칭 손실을 줄인다. 더불어 출력 필터의 크기 또한 작아진다. 실험을 통해 제안한 컨버터의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents the structure and performance of a new Integrated magnetics-based transformer, which can be readily adapted to zero-voltage switching full bridge dc-to-dc converters. The proposed transformer features with two paralleled primary windings and a center-tapped secondary winding. The transformer can be fabricated on standard EE or EI cores where the primary and secondary windings are placed on the outer legs while the output filter inductor is wound on the middle leg. The performance of the proposed transformer is demonstrated with a 100 kHz 720 W experimental dc-to-dc converter which recorded a 92% conversion efficiency at 12 V output voltage.

Design of Receiver Architecture for HomePNA 2.0 Modem (HomePNA 2.0 모뎀 수신부 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose the architecture of modem receiver to fabricate HomePNA 2.0 chip. HomePNA suffers from inferior channel because of bridge tap, the effect of amateur HAM band and so on. To transfer data over such channel, HomePNA 2.0 uses training sequence to equalize channel and uses FD-QAM optionally as modulation method. So modem receiver demodulate QAM based signal and needs optimum architecture that fully uses these transmission feature. As a result of research, we define 2 mode function of modem receiver depending on TX/RX state. In this paper, particularly, we show the algorithm of equalizer, carrier phase recovery and frame synchromzationblock and propose architecture that improve the performance of channel equalization and is stable in operation. In the end, we estimate the performance of proposed HomePNA2.0 modem receiver over HomePNA TEST LOOP using SPW program.
