환경조절장치용 미세유로형 증발열교환기의 성능특성 연구 (A Study on Performance Characteristics of an Evaporative Heat Exchanger with Mini-channels)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기 탑재용 환경조절장치에 사용하기 위한 미세유로형 증발열교환기의 성능 특성에 관한 연구결과를 제시하였다. 미세유로형 증발열교환기는 가능한한 적은 양의 냉매로 고온부의 열량을 흡수할 수 있도록 저온부 냉매의 증발잠열을 이용하고 단위 체적당 열전달 면적의 극대화를 위해 미세유로를 이용하는 개념이다. 설계된 공기 및 냉각수 유로를 에칭을 통해 가공하고, 이들을 적층하여 브레이징으로 접합한 후 입출구 포트를 용접함으로써 열교환기를 제작하였다. 제작된 열교환기는 기본 성능시험을 통해 요구조건대로 설계/제작되었음을 확인하였고, 다양한 운용조건에 대한 성능 맵 시험을 수행하여 입구 공기온도, 공기 유량 및 냉각수 유량 변화에 따른 열교환 성능특성을 정량적으로 파악하였다.

Ni기 삽입금속에 의해 진공 브레이징된 STS303-Cu의 특성평가 (Evaluation of the STS303-Cu vacuum-brazed by Ni-based alloy)

  • Microstructure and tensile strength of the vacuum brazed stainless steel(STS303) and Cu were investigated. For brazing, the BNi-2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 (A.W.S standard) were used as filler metals. The Oxides such as $Cr_2O_3$ and $SiO_2$ were observed at brazed layers between STS303 and Cu matrix. Also, the intermetallic compounds of Cr-B and Ni-P were observed at brazed layers. Brazed STS303-Cu specimens with BNi-2, 3, 4 filler metals showed almost elastic deformation followed by plastic yielding and strain hardening up to a peak stress. On the other hand, it is likely that the fracture of the brazed specimens with BNi-6 and 7 was occurred in elastic range without plastic yielding up to a peak stress. Among these filler metals, the BNi-2 brazed at $1050^{\circ}C$ showed excellent wettability and the highest tensile strength (101.6MPa).

Cu-Si 삽입금속을 이용한 DP강의 MIG 아크 브레이징 접합부의 미세조직과 기계적 성질 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Gas Metal Arc Brazed Joint of DP Steel with Cu-Si Filler Metal)

  • In this study, Microstructure and tensile properties in arc brazed joints of 1000MPa grade DP steel using Cu-Si insert metal were investigated. The fusion zone was composed of Cu phase which solidified a little Fe and Si. The former phase formed due to dilute the edge of base material by arc, although Fe was not solid solution in Cu at the room temperature. Cu3Si particles formed by crystallization at $1100^{\circ}C$ during faster cooling. After the tensile shear test, there are no differences between the brazed joint efficiencies. The maximum joint efficient was about 37% compared to strength of base metal. It is better than that of arc brazed joint of DP steel using Cu-Sn filler metal. Fracture position of all brazing conditions was in the fusion zone. Crack initiation occurred at three junction point which was a stress singularity point of upper sheet, lower sheet and the fusion zone. And then crack propagated across the fusion zone. The reason why the fracture occurred at fusion zone was that the hardness of fusion zone was lower than that of base material and heat affected zone. The correlation among maximum load and hardness of fusion zone and EST at fractured position was $R^2=0.9338$. Therefore, this means that hardness and EST can have great impact on maximum load.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the brazing characteristics between Zircaloy-4 nuclear fuel cladding tubes and bearing pads with filler metals of amorphous $Zr_{1-x}Be_x$(0.3$\leq$x$\leq$0.5) binary alloy, in which they were produced in the ribbon form by the melt-spinning metod. The crystallization behavior, stability, hardness and micro-structure of brazed zone were examined by X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, micro-Vickers hardness test, optical microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. $Zr_{1-x}Be_x$(0.3$\leq$x$\leq$0.4) amorphous alloys were crystallized to $\alpha$-Zr with increasing the temperature, and the rest were transformed to ZrBe$_2$at higher temperatures. On the other hand, $Zr_{1-x}Be_x$(0.4$\leq$x$\leq$0.5) amorphous alloys were crystallized to $\alpha$-Zr and ZrBe$_2$, simultaneously. The thickness of the layer brazed with amorphous alloy was increased with increasing the beryllium content due to the higher diffusion of Be. The morphology of brazed layer with PVD Be filler metal showed dendrite while that brazed with amorphous alloys appeared globular. Micro-Vickers hardness of brazed zone increased as the beryllium content of filler metal was decreased.

  • 본 연구는 30ton급 액체로켓엔진 지상연소시험용 연소기의 설계 및 제작에 관한 것이다. 본 연소기는 연소압력이 60 bar, 노즐 확대비가 12이며, 헤드부와 연소실부가 용접되는 일체형 재생냉각형 연소기이다. 헤드부는 저온에서 기계적 특성이 좋은 STS316L을 사용하였다. 연소실부는 실린더부, 노즐목부, 1차 노즐부, 2차 노즐부로 구성되어 있다. 연소실부의 내피 재질은 동합금 /STS319J1/STS316L, 외피 재질은 STS329J1을 사용하였다. 선반, 밀링, MCT, 롤링 및 프레싱 등의 기계적 가공을 통하여 단품들을 완성하였다. 이러한 각 단품들을 조립하여 일반 용접 및 전자빔 용접, 브레이징 등을 적용하여 일체형으로 접합하였다.

R410A를 이용한 브레이징 타입 판형열교환기에서 물 측 유동방향에 따른 응축/증발 성능 평가 (An Experimental Study on Evaporation/Condensation Heat Transfer with Flow Direction in Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger using Refrigerant 410A)

  • The plate heat exchanger(PHE) in heat pump has two flow streams of the refrigerant and water. The flow direction of the refrigerant, unlike that of water, can be changed by a 4-way valve depending on operating condition. Therefore the flow arrangement is a parallel flow for heating and a counter flow for cooling, respectively. In this study, the effects of the flow direction of the water on the heat transfer rate are investigated experimentally. The experiments are carried out for brazed plate heat exchangers under a parallel and counter flow conditions in evaporation and condensation. The experimental parameters in this study include the mass flux of the refrigerant 410A from 3 to $14\;kg/m^2s$ and the flow patterns for the pressure of PHE fixed at 0.97 and 2.46 MPa. The results show that both the heat transfer rate and frictional pressure drop across the PHE increase with the mass flux. The heat transfer rate of the refrigerant 410A for evaporation show great sensitivity to flow direction of the water. The heat transfer rate for evaporation with a counter flow are 5-30% higher than that with a parallel flow.

브레이징한 Ti/Cu 접합계면부의 미세조직 특성 (A Characteristic of Microstructures in Bonding Interlayer of Brazed Titanium to Copper)

  • To know the bonding phenomena of Ti/Cu brazed joint, a characteristic of microstructures in bonding interlayer of vacuum brazed pure Ti to Cu has been studied in the temperature range from 1088 to 1133K for various bonding times using Ag-28wt%Cu filler metal. Also intermediate phases formed in bonded interlayer and behavior of layer growth have been investigated. The obtained results in this study are as follows: 1) Liquid insert metal width at the each brazing temperature was proportional to the square root of brazing time, and it was considered that the liquid insert metal width was controlled by the diffusion rate process of primary .alpha.-Cu formed at the Ti side. 2) Intermediate phases formed near the Ti interface were .betha.-Ti and intermetallic compounds TiCu, Ti$_{2}$Cu, Ti$_{3}$Cu, and TiCu. 3) .betha.-Ti formed in Ti base metal durig brazing transformed to lamellar structure, .alpha.-Ti + Ti$_{2}$Cu. The structure came from the eutectoil decomposition reaction in cooling. And the width of .betha.-Ti layer was proportional to the square root of brazing time, and it was considered that the growth of .betha.-Ti layer was controlled by interdiffusion rate process in .betha.-Ti. 4) The layer growth of TiCu, Ti$_{3}$Cu$_{4}$ and TiCu, phases formed near the Ti interface was linerface was linearly proportional to the brazing time, and it was considered that the layer growth of these phases was controlled by the chemical reaction rate at the interface.

십자형 모노펄스 축을 적용한 밀리미터파 탐색기용 도파관 광벽 슬롯 배열 안테나 조립체 연구 (Waveguide Broad-wall Slot Array Antenna Study for Millimeter-Wave Seeker Using Cross Monopulse Axes)

  • 본 논문에서는 2축 십자형 모노펄스 축을 가지는 Ka 대역 밀리미터파 탐색기용 안테나를 설계하였고, 진공 브레이징 기법으로 제작 후 측정을 통해 성능을 검증하였다. 또한, Ka 대역 도파관 순환기 설계 및 제작하여 순환기가 포함된 안테나 조립체 단위에서도 성능을 확인하였다. 안테나의 복사부는 Elliot 설계방법에 최적화 알고리즘을 적용하여 최적의 슬롯 길이 및 오프셋 값을 설계하였으며, 급전부는 십자형 모노펄스 축을 구현하기 위해 접힌 구조의 도파관을 적용하여 S-parameter 특성을 최적화 하였다. 설계된 안테나 조립체는 제작 및 전자파측정을 통해 33.3 dBi 이득, $3.5^{\circ}{\pm}0.5^{\circ}$ 빔폭, -23 dB 이하 부엽준위 특성을 확인하였으며, 본 결과는 설계 결과와 유사함을 확인하였다.

초내열합금 wide-gap 브레이징부의 미세조직 및 기계적 성질 변화에 미치는 첨가금속분말의 영향 (Effect of Additive Powder on Microstructural Evolutions and Mechanical Properties of the Wide-gap Brazed Region in IN738 superalloy)

  • The effect of IN738 additive powder on microstructure and mechanical properties of the wide-gap region brazed with BNi-3 filler metal powder was investigated. The wide-gap brazing was conducted in a vacuum of $2\times10^{-5}torr\;at\;1200^{\circ}C$ with various powder mixing ratios of additive to filler powders. The microstructures of the wide-gap brazed region were analyzed by SEM and AES. The region brazed with only BNi-3 filler metal powder had a microstructure consisted of proeutectic, binary eutectic and ternary eutectic structure, while that brazed with a mixture of IN738 additive powder and BNi-3 filler metal powder had a microstructure consisted of IN738 additive powder, binary eutectic of $Ni_3B-Ni$ solid solution and (Cr, W)B. The fracture strength of the wide-gap brazed region was about 680 MPa regardless of the additive powder mixing ratios. Cracks were initiated at the (Cr, W)B and binary eutectic of $Ni_3B-Ni$ solid solution, and propagated through them in the wide-gap brazed region, which lowered the fracture strength of the region.

다이아몬드 Grit(흑연)/ Cu-13Sn-12Ti 필러합금 진공 브레이징 접합체의 젖음성 및 계면반응 (The wetting and interfacial reaction of vacuum brazed junction between diamond grit(graphite) and Cu-13Sn-12Ti filler alloy)

  • Various alloy system, such as Cu-Sn-Ti, Cu-Ag-Ti, and Ni-B-Cr-based alloy are used for the brazing of diamond grits. However, the problem of the adhesion strength between the diamond grits and the brazed alloy is presented. The adhesion strength between the diamond grits and the melting filler alloy is predicted by the contact angle, thereby, instead of diamond grit, the study on the wettability between the graphite and the brazing alloy has been indirectly executed. In this study, Cu-13Sn-12Ti filler alloy was manufactured, and the contact angles, the shear strengths and the interfacial area between the graphites(diamond grits) and braze matrix were investigated. The contact angle was decreased on increasing holding time and temperature. The results of shear strength of the graphite joints brazed filler alloys were observed that the joints applied Cu-13Sn-12Ti alloy at brazing temperature 940 $^{\circ}C$ was very sound condition indicating the shear tensile value of 23.8 MPa because of existing the widest carbide(TiC) reaction layers. The micrograph of wettability of the diamond grit brazed filler alloys were observed that the brazement applied Cu-13Sn-12Ti alloy at brazing temperature $990^{\circ}C$ was very sound condition because of existing a few TiC grains in the vicinity of the TiC layers.
