  • This paper suggested a new sensorless driving strategy for brushless de motor which can improve the conventional degradation of highspeed operating performances, lowspeed operating performances and starting performances caused by applying general single pwm switching frequency. By varying PWM switching frequency during operating time, the proposed method can get some desired upper performances. For confirming the validity of the proposed method, the sensorless driving system is implemented with an rPM module and 87c196MC micro controller.

  • This Paper propose a novel sensorless drive system for the trapezoidal brushless DC motor in Bow speed region. The inverter DC input voltage is controlled by step-down converter for low speed operation. A indirect rotor position sensing technique based on a detailed analysis of the terminal voltage characterisrics is proposed in this paper. A sensorless drive system is implemented using a TMS320F240 for the main process and IPM(Intelligent Power Module) for the inverter.

  • This paper studies particularly applicable method for sensorless Permanent Magnet Brushless DC(PMBLDC) Motor drive system. The waveform of the motor internal voltages (or back emf) contains a fundamental and higher order frequency harmonics. Therefore the third harmonics. component is extracted from the stator phase voltage. The resulting third harmonic signal keeps a constant phase relationship with the rotor flux for any motor speed and load condition. In addition, a simple starting method and a speed estimation approach are also proposed.

  • In this paper, a chattering alleviation VSS controller for the sinusoidal type BLDC motor is designed. Dead Zone function is proposed to change the chattering occurring in the transient state from high frequency to low frequency and time varying gains arc applied for the control input to eliminate the steady state excessive chattering in the conventional ISM. The proposed Dead Zone function represents the sliding layer composed of two switching surfaces and if a state vector exists in this layer, the chattering don't occur. Simulation and experimental results confirm the useful effects of the above algorithm.

  • Generally, 2 phase excited brushless DC motor(BLDCM) operates only in the region of constant trapezoidal back-EMF on each phase. Therefore the efficiency decreases in comparison with 3phase excited BLDCM. This paper proposes the relation between the usage ratio of voltage and the change of fewer delivery of BLDCM according to extension of conduction intervals.

  • The brushless DC motor with trapezoidal back emfs has torque ripple due to phase commutation. The torque ripple generates noise and vibration and cause errors in position control so this makes the brushless DC motor less suitable for high performance servo applications. In this paper, we propose a new current control method to reduce the torque ripple due to commutation, when the unipolar PWM method is applied for the phase current control of brushless DC motor.

  • A Clustering Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Controller(CAFLC) is applied to the torque control of a brushless do motor drive. Objective of this system includes elimination of torque ripple due to cogging at low speeds under loads. The CAFLC implemented has advantages of computational simplicity, and self-tuning characteristics. Simulation results showed that the torque ripple and dynamic response of the system using a CAFLC were superior to the model reference adaptive controlled system.

  • This paper presents a new rotor position estimation method for brushless DC motors. It is clear that the estimation error of the rotor position provokes the phase shift angle misaligned between the phase current and the back-EMF waveforms, which causes torque ripple in brushless DC motor drives. Such an estimation error can be reduced with the help of the proposed neutral voltage-based estimation method that is structured in the form of a closed loop observer. A neutral voltage appearing during the normal mode of the inverter operation is found to be an observable and controllable measure, which can be dealt with for estimating an exact rotor position. This neutral voltage is obtained from the DC-link current, the switching logic, and the motor speed values. The proposed algorithm, which can be implemented easily by using a single DC-link current and the motor terminal voltage sensors, is verified by simulation and experiment results.

  • This paper is described BLDC motor in the submarine propulsion system which is asked high power per unit area. This study analyzes the independent 6-phase BLDC motor a specific extended by existing the independent 3-phase BLDC motor and propose forward development direction. Independent 6-phase motor has a characteristics that phases of stator are independent electrically with each other and two's independence 3-phase BLDC motor are linked with each difference of 60 degree. Six-phase BLDC motor is simulated with Matlab-simulink, the simulation result has a high current and low torque pulsation than existent independence 3-phase BLDC motor.
