Elaborated researches regarding causes and effects forming brand equity, however, are hardly found. This research aims at: (1) examining the relationships among antecedents of apartment brand equity, brand equity components, and brand preference; and (2) proposing marketing strategies for strengthening apartment brand equity. The research method utilized is a survey. The research procedure consists of four steps as follows: (1) literature review; (2) hypotheses construction regarding antecedents and consequences of apartment brand equity; (3) measurement of apartment brand equity; and (4) covariance structure analysis of relationships between antecedents and consequences. This study found following positive relationships. First, the corporate image and apartment advertisement have a positive influence on brand-name recognition/image and perceived quality, consisting of apartment brand equity. Second, brandname recognition/image, perceived quality, and brand-name preference, consisting of apartment brand equity, have a positive influence on a brand affinity. • This study analyzed the features and problems of one-person creative company development policy by using the image of brand identity of one-person creative company and the model of the symbol square. In order to solve the youth unemployment and to induce youth foundation, Korean government particularly Small and Medium Business Administration (SBA) paid great attention to 'One-Person Company' followed by One-Person Knowledge Company policy in 2008. Finally, this policy became One-Person Creative Company in 2009 when SBA faced criticism. However, according to semiotics analysis, symbolic conflicts were found in the policy given that this policy was not considered the role of the co-founder in venture ecosystem. This study provides practical implications for new directions of the one-person creative company policy of government; (1) one-person knowledge company ${\rightarrow}$ (2) one-person creative company ${\rightarrow}$ (3) 1+1 creative company.

  • This study examined the degree to which integrated marketing communication(IMC) might be manifested in South Korean television advertising. Using a framework by Nowak and Phelps(1994), this study investigated the degree of IMC utilization by service organizations and physical goods manufacturers at the advertisement level. The Result showed that 44.6% of the television ads were classified as integrated marketing communication according to criteria discussed by Nowak and Phelps(1994). More specifically, approximately 90.7% of the integrated ads achieved this status by using two communication tools of different orientations. In addition, the most common form of IMC at this lowest level consisted of an image-oriented(brand advertising) and a behavior-oriented(direct response) communication tool. The second common form of IMC, that is, 9.3%, used three different communication tools; they consisted of an image-oriented tool(brand advertising) and the two behavior-oriented(i.e., direct response and sales promotion) communication tools. Nothing of the magazine ads used all four tools. Thus, South Korean television ads exhibited higher degrees of IMC which tended to include more behavior-oriented communication tools than image-oriented communication tools. These results indicate that much higher chances for advertisers to expand the level of IMC will be existed. Furthermore, the results suggest that significantly higher as well as a wider variety of communication tools are being used by advertisers, considering the limit of samples investigated in this research.
