노인 및 거동 불편 환자들이 목욕 중 낙상 사고 등을 당하는 비율은 매년 증가하고 있다. 특히 국내 65세 이상 1인 가구 197만 가구는(22년 기준) 가족의 돌봄 없이 혼자 생활하고 있어, 이들이 목욕 중에 사고를 당하는 경우, 빠른 구호가 어려운 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 독거노인의 증가와 낙상 사고의 위험성에 초점을 맞추어 거동이 불편한 환자라도 혼자서 목욕이 가능한, 모든 사용자로부터 접근성을 높인 샤워 부스를 개발 및 연구한다. 요양보호사 두 명과 인터뷰를 하여 실제 상황에서의 문제점을 파악한다. 인터뷰 내용을 바탕으로 사용자의 안전을 1순위로 고려하고, 사용 편의성 및 청결을 유지하는 방안을 고려한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the association between oral health status and health related quality of life (HRQoL). The study used a nationally representative sample of Koreans (2013 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) aged 19~64 years (n=3,252). Dependent variable was HRQoL, which was assessed with each component of EuroQol-5 dimension (EQ5D). Independent variable was oral health status (oral pain, chewing problem, speaking problem, and perceived oral health). After adjustment for confounders (socio-demographic factors, oral health behaviors, health behaviors, and physical conditions), the risk of having poor HRQoL was greater in adults with poor oral health status. The odds ratio (OR) of having pain/discomfort were 1.50 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.22~1.86) for respondents with oral pain, 1.72 (95% CI, 1.33~ 2.22) for respondents with chewing problem, 1.79 (95% CI, 1.22~2.62) for respondents with speaking problem, and 1.36 (95% CI, 1.09~1.70) for respondents with poor perceived oral health. The OR of having anxiety/depression were 1.74 (95% CI, 1.28~2.38) when having a chewing problem, 1.72 (95% CI, 1.12~2.64) when having a speaking problem, and 1.54 (95% CI, 1.14~2.08) when rating his/her oral health poor. Among Korean adults, two of the EQ5D components were associated with oral health status. Future study is needed to examine the detailed causal relations between oral health status and HRQoL longitudinally.

This study aims to examine the attitudes toward online advertisement targeting YouTube content users and to present implications for the direction and regulation of personal media broadcasting advertisement. The study used the data from 'Awareness of On-line Ads and Blocking Tools' conducted by the Korea Press Foundation in 2020. For the statistical analysis, correspondent analysis was employed. The main results followed as: women tended to perceive more discomfort about the ads before the start of the content compared to men, and women in twenties perceived the highest discomfort with intermediate advertisement. Second, respondents who watch more YouTube contents tended to accept more ads to use contents for free. Third, respondents who are willing to use the advertisement blocking service were most aware of the inconvenience of advertisements before starting of YouTube contents. Although users are aware of the inconvenience, the use of advertisement blocking service has not yet been found to be generalized. However, the use of ad blocking service is expected to increase gradually. It would be expected that efforts to regulate advertisement to reduce discomfort about advertisement among users are also required.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of depression in the relationship between the performance of daily activities in the elderly and their life satisfaction. The subjects of the study were 10,097 people from the Survey on the Elderly (2020), and the SPSS 25.0 program was used for data analysis. The main research results that analyzed the elderly's daily life movement performance by dividing it into daily life discomfort and movement performance difficulty are as follows. First, it was confirmed that the effects of discomfort and difficulty in performing daily activities of the elderly on life satisfaction were significant. Second, the effects of discomfort in daily life and difficulty in motion performance in the elderly on depression were found to be at a statistically significant level. Third, the effect of depression on life satisfaction was found to be statistically significant. Fourth, the partial mediating effect of depression was examined in the relationship between the daily life discomfort and difficulty in motion performance of the elderly on life satisfaction. These results clarified that daily life discomfort, difficulty in performing movements, and depression should be reduced in order to improve life satisfaction of the elderly. Through this, a discussion was presented to increase the life satisfaction of the elderly.

We focused on the missing confirmation domain of the hasteful behavior. We tried to identify the variety of hasteful behavior and the effects of missing confirmation behavior domain of the hasteful behavior on driving behaviors. 388 drivers responded to Hasteful Behavior Questionnaire, Driver Behavior Questionnaire(DBQ), and Driving Experience Questions. Data which have missing values among them were removed, 374 data were analyzed. As a result of factor analysis, hasteful behavior consist of time pressure, uncomfortableness, isolation, boring condition, and expecting rewards, and the DBQ consist of violation, error, and lapse. The components of hasteful behavior was divided into the missing confirmation behavior and the need for achievement domain by the second factor analysis and difference verification of coefficient of correlation. The missing confirmation behavior domain of hasteful behavior had significant influence on error and lapse. The isolation of the missing confirmation behavior domain had a negative effect, and the uncomfortableness of the missing confirmation domain had a positive effect on violation. The time pressure had a negative effect, and the isolation and the uncomfortableness had a positive effect on error and lapse.

Objectives: This study aimed to confirm the correlation between oral frailty and health-related quality of life (HINT-8) among older adults in Korea. Methods: The data of 1,318 individuals aged ≥65 years who participated in the eighth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2019) were analyzed using complex sample statistical analysis. Results: Chewing discomfort was found to decrease the HINT-8 scores by 1.246, 1.324, and 1.089 times in the physical, social, and mental domains, respectively. Speech discomfort was found to decrease the HINT-8 scores by 1.275, 1.449, and 1.175 times in the physical, social, and mental domains, respectively. The HINT-8 scores of participants with ≤19 natural teeth were lower in the physical and social domains. Similarly, the HINT-8 scores of participants with brushing frequency of ≤2 were lower in the positive health domain. Non-use of oral hygiene products led to a reduction in the HINT-8 score in the social health domain. Conclusions: Oral frailty in older adults reduces the health-related quality of life. Thus, it is necessary to formulate policies to manage oral frailty in this population and develop specialized programs for the management of oral frailty.

지난해 여름철에는 기상관측 기록을 갱신하는 집중호우에 따른 산사태 많은 인명피해가 발생하고, 저지대 주택 및 도로가 침수되는 등 서민생활 불편이 가중되는 문제가 발생하였다. 따라서, 금년 여름철에는 예상치 못한 집중호우에도 적극 대처할 수 있도록 인명피해 위험지역 특별관리, 하천도로 교통통제 절차 개선, 24시간 상황관리 등 철저한 사전준비를 통해 한층 더 상향된 대응계획을 수립하였다. 여름철 자연재난 대책의 주요내용은 다음과 같다.

최근 간편함을 추구하는 소비자들의 소비형태 변화로 세척, 박피, 절단 등 가정식 대체식품(HMR)에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다 특히 양파는 껍질을 벗겨야 하는 불편함 때문에 소비촉진에 한계가 있었으나, 최근 백화점, 대형할인점 등에서는 껍질을 벗긴 양파를 2개 또는 3개씩 진공 포장한 것이 유통되고 있다. 진공포장기법은 제품의 위생적 보관이나 신선도의 장기간 유지를 위해 식품포장 등에 널리 이용되는 기술로 탈피한 양파를 진공포장하면 포장봉지내에 산소가 거의 없기 때문에 미생물의 발육이 억제되어 유통 중 품질을 유지할 수 있다. 다빈치나 보티첼리의 작품은 잘 그린 그림이라는 것을 쉽게 공감할 수 있지만 피카소의 그림을 보면 어딘가 불편함을 느낄 뿐 훌륭한 작품이라는 생각을 하긴 쉽지 않다. 이러한 불편한 느낌은 잭슨 폴록의 작품에서 극에 달해 현대미술이 과연 미술작품으로 불릴 수 있는지에 대한 의구심마저 든다. 피카소의 작품은 최소한 그림처럼 보기긴 했지만 잭슨 폴록의 작품은 캔버스에 물감을 휘갈겨 뿌렸을 뿐 그 속에서 그림이라고 불릴만한 요소를 찾긴 어렵기 때문이다. 하지만 이렇게 혼란스러운 추상화도 과학의 눈으로 보면 놀랍게도 그림이 보인다. 과학은 예술과 서로 대척점에 있는 것이 아니라 예술을 이해할 수 있는 또 하나의 방법이다.
