Subjective Evaluation of Frictional Sounds from Sportswear according to Speeds of Movements (운동 속도별 스포츠웨어용 직물의 마찰음에 대한 주관적 평가)

  • 본 연구에서는 스포츠웨어 착용 시 운동 속도별로 직물이 스치면서 발생하는 마찰음에 대한 음향특성과 주관적 감각 감성을 고찰하기 위하여, 3종류의 스포츠웨어용 직물 마찰음을 walking(0.63m/s), jogging(1.10m/s), running(0.98m/s)의 3가지 속도로 녹음한 후, 총음압(SPL)과 Loudness(Z), Sharpness(Z), Roughness(Z), Fluctuation Strength(Z)를 계산하였다. 이들 마찰음에 대한 주관적 평가는 9개 쌍의 형용사(시끄러운, 높은, 날카로운, 거친, 딱딱한, 탁한, 변화있는, 거슬리는, 불쾌한)에 대해 의미미분척도로 평가되었다. Jogging시 직물의 마찰음은 가장 시끄럽고 거슬리며 불쾌하게 평가되었고, running시의 직물 마찰음은 walking시나 jogging시의 마찰음보다 덜 시끄럽고 거칠기와 탁한 정도가 적으며 거슬리고 불쾌한 정도가 가장 적게 평가되었다.

Effects of superheated steam treatment on volatile compounds and quality characteristics of onion (과열 증기 처리에 따른 양파의 향기 성분 및 품질특성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of superheated steam (SHS) on volatile compounds and the quality characteristics of onion. Onion samples were treated by SHS at various steam temperatures ($100{\sim}300^{\circ}C$) for 1 min. Thiosulfinates and pyruvic acid were reduced by SHS treatment. The absorbance values obtained for thiosulfinates, the odor-causing compounds in onions, treated by were 0.889, 0.085, 0.049, 0.049, and 0.045, while that of the untreated control sample was 1.587. The pyruvic acid contents of onions treated by SHS were 7.57, 5.85, 1.66, 0.47, and 0.26 mg/mL, while that of the untreated control sample was 8.00 mg/mL. Volatile compounds such as, dipropyl trisufide, 1,3-propanedithiol, methyl thiirane, methyl propyl trisulfide, diallyl disulfide, 1-(methylthio)-1-propene, 1,1-thiobis-1-propene, 1,1-sulfinyl bispropane, dimethyl tetrasulfide, methyl propenyl disulfide, dimethyl trisulfide, and diallyl disulfide were reduced by SHS treatment. The results showed that antioxidant activities in the of onion samples were improved by SHS treatment. The hardness and chewiness of onions treated by SHS were significantly lower than those of the untreated control onion sample. Sensory evaluation suggested that SHS could help lower off-flavors in and enhance the palatability of onions. These results suggest that the application of SHS treatment to onions can decrease their off-flavors, change their textural attributes, and promote their sensory properties.

  • The author reports a 32 years old female patient with late luteal phase dysphoric disorder who received evening bright light treatment for 7 consecutive days during the late luteal phase of menstrual cycle. After the treatment, beneficial clinical effects were observed. This result suggests that bright light can be an alternative treatment for LLPDD. However, the placebo effects should be ruled out completely. Further controlled studies with more patients will be needed.

  • High temperatures and humidity in summer strongly affect conditions of construction workers. These could lead to safety accidents and results in fatal accidents. This study, based on 3 years of weather and fatal accident data, explains the association between fatal accidents in summer and discomfort index and proposes management directions.

  • 청각자극에 의한 쾌/불쾌 감성상태의 특징을 구별하기 위하여 21채널의 측정된 뇌파신호를 이용하였다. 이를 위하여 비선형 분석방법인 바이스펙트럼 분석을 도입하였으며 청각신호에 잘 반응하는 T3, T4채널에 대하여 조사하였다. 쾌한 감성 상태에서는 비슷한 주파수 쌍의 상호작용이 큼을 알 수 있었다.

Factors Influencing on Quality of Life in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis: Convergence on the Theory of Unpleasant Symptoms (불쾌증상이론을 융합한 간경변증 환자의 삶의 질 예측요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore convergence on the theory of unpleasant symptom, and factors affecting quality of life of liver cirrhosis patients. A total of 198 liver cirrhosis patients were recruited symptom experiences, physiologic factors, psychological factors, situational factors, and quality of life. Data were collected from March, to May, 2014 and analyzed using one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations, multiple regressions analysis with PASW (SPSS) 21.0. Variables such as duration of liver cirrhosis(${\beta}=.19$, p<.001), symptom experiences(${\beta}=.19$, p=.032), physical(${\beta}=.15$, p=.008), psychological(${\beta}=.39$, p<.001) and situational factors(${\beta}=.32$, p<.001) explained 51.8% of variance in quality of life(F=15.57, p<.001). The symptom experiences, physiological, psychological and situational factors should be considered for caring liver cirrhosis patients. Symptoms of postmyocardial infarction (post-MI) patients at risk for progression to heart.

  • 현재, 새로운 조명광원으로서 백색 LED가 기대되고 있으며, 이를 이용하는 조명이 확대되어 실용화 될 것으로 예상된다. LED 광원을 이용하여 조명기구를 제작하고 이것을 실내조명으로 사용할 때 조명기구에 의한 글레어가 편안함을 주는지 불편함을 주는지에 대한 평가가 요구된다. 실내 조명환경에 대한 불쾌글레어를 평가하기 위해 UGR(Unified Glare Rating)을 추천하고 있다. 그러나 균일한 글레어 광원의 평균휘도를 이용하여 계산된 종래의 불쾌글레어 평가법들은 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구에 대해서는 적용하기 어렵게 될 것으로 판단된다. 그래서 UGR를 이용하였을 경우, 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구와 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 대해서 어떠한 차이가 있는지 다음의 불쾌글레어의 주관평가 실험을 수행하였다. 평균휘도가 같고 최대 휘도와 최소 휘도가 다른 조명기구(균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 1종과 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 2종)를 글레어 광원으로 사용하였다. 입체각(${\omega}$)과 위치지수(Position Index)를 고정시키고 배경휘도($L_b$)와 광원휘도($L_s$)를 임의로 변화시켰다. 주어진 환경에서 피험자로 하여금 얼마나 편안하진 또는 불편한지에 대한 느낌을 값으로 평가하도록 하였다. 우선, UGR과 주관평가 사이에 차이가 나타났으며, 이는 동 서양에 따른 문화적 및 생리적 차이에 기인한다고 생각된다. 다음으로 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구보다 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구가 더 높은 값을 할당 받아 LED 조명기구가 불쾌감을 더 유발시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 LED 소자 간격에 따른 영향은 글레어 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 크게 나타났으며, 배경휘도에 대해서도 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 LED 소자 간격의 차이에 의한 영향이 나타났다. 따라서 UGR식은 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 적합하지만, 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 부적합하다고 판단된다.

Indoor Environment Control System Utilizing The Internet of Things (사물인터넷을 활용한 실내 환경 제어 시스템)

  • It is a system that controls temperature, humidity and fine-dust to make interior environment more comfortable for modern people who spend 90% of the time in indoor. In an experiment of finding which one of temperature and humidity influence more to discomfort index, for a fixed temperature of 21, discomfort index increased by 0.1 with a 1 change of humidity, and for a fixed humidity of 40, discomfort index increased by 1.2 with a 1 change of temperature. As a result, it was found that the temperature is more influential than the humidity to discomfort index. In an experiment of measuring communicational limitation of Bluetooth, the communication was possible for at most 30 meters without obstacles. With high obstacles like walls or steel bars, it was able to penetrate at most 2 obstacles and maximum distance which it can communicate was 10 meters for just one high molecule obstacle.
