A Study on the Recreated Experiment and Casting Method of Ancient Iron Seated Buddha by Spilt Casting Method (분할주조법을 이용한 고대 철불의 재현실험 및 주조법 연구)

  • The study aimed to investigate the split casting method based on the recreation of the iron-seated Buddha (ISB) statue (number 1971) in the Chuncheon Museum. The statue was designed using three-dimensional scan data and reduced to half-size. Using the existing research results, the ISB statue was created by mold production and split casting. The mold was prepared by mixing sand and clay at a ratio of 3:4 and 1:3 on the outside and inside, respectively, and then casting was done. Various casting defects were observed in the ISB casting and similar shapes were seen. The casting defects included veining or finning, misrun, open or external shrinkage, surface or subsurface blowholes, surface pinholes, and shift. The microstructures were identified as branch-shaped dendrite and pearlite organizations, and black graphite was observed between the cementite organizations. The study findings may be relevant in exploring traditional casting and manufacturing techniques of ISB and may aid in the production of the original form of ISB.

Evaluation of Ground-Water Sampling Techniques for Analysis of Chlorofluorocarbons (지하수의 CFCs(Chlorofluorocarbons) 조사를 위한 시료 채취 방법의 평가)

  • Two types of ground-water sampling techniques for CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) analysis, the cold-welded copper tube method and flame-sealed borosilicate glass ampule method, were compared and evaluated. CFCs concentrations by the copper tube method showed a poor reproducibility among triplicates whereas those by the glass ampule method showed a good agreement and relative standard deviations of triplicates were less than 5%. The poor reproducibility of the copper tube method appears to be attributed to the incomplete sealing in connection between faucets of wellhead and the sampling apparatus. The copper tube method also showed higher CFCs concentrations than the glass ampule method, which is more pronounced for CFC-11 than for CFC-12. The plastic tubings and rubber gasket of faucets in case of the copper tube method possibly contaminated the samples with CFC-11 and CFC-12. The potential of CFCs contamination for the glass ampule method was eliminated by using stainless steel and Nylon only and by connecting the sampling equipment directly to the main discharge pipe of wellhead. The validity of the glass ampule method were also verified by detecting very low level of CFCs for the ground-water sample which is old enough to have negligible CFCs.

  • The semiconductor fabrication process is complex and time-consuming. There are sometimes errors in the process, which results in defective die on the wafer bin map (WBM). We can detect the faulty WBM by finding some patterns caused by dies. When one manually seeks the failure on WBM, it takes a long time due to the enormous number of WBMs. We suggest a two-step approach to discover the probable pattern on the WBMs in this paper. The first step is to separate the normal WBMs from the defective WBMs. We adapt a hierarchical clustering for de-noising, which nicely performs this work by wisely tuning the number of minimum points and the cutting height. Once declared as a faulty WBM, then it moves to the next step. In the second step, we classify the patterns among the defective WBMs. For this purpose, we extract features from the WBM. Then machine learning algorithm classifies the pattern. We use a real WBM data set (WM-811K) released by Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company.

  • 본 논문에서는 LCD 구동 모들 PCB의 기능 검사를 위한 자동 검사시스템인 EVT(Emulated Vision Tester)를 제안하고 구현하였다. 기존의 대표적인 자동검사 방법으로는 전기적 검사나 영상기반 검사방식이 있으나 전기적 검사만으로는 Timing이 주요한 변수가 되는 LED 장비에서는 검출할 수 없는 구동불량이 존재하며 영상기반 검사는 영상획득에 일관성이 결여되거나 Gray Scale의 구분이 불명확하며 검출결과의 재현성이 떨어진다. EVT 시스템은 Pattern Generator에서 인가된 입력 패턴 신호라 구동모듈을 통한 후 출력되는 디지털 신호를 직접 비교하여 패턴을 검사하고 아날로그 신호 (전압, 저항, 파형)의 이상 여부도 신속 정확하게 검사할 수 있는 H/W적인 방법이다. 높은 검출 신뢰도와 빠른 처리 속도 뿐만 아니라 간결한 시스템 구성으로 원가절감 실현 등 많은 장점을 가진다.

  • Many of the traffic accidents on roads are a result of alignment defect of the roads. This alignment of the road needs to lie analyzed with accuracy for improving design of road, and it needs the design drawing of road, and coordinates of the main point. Accordingly, in this study the precision of location based on existing design drawing was compared with the data acquired by the combination of RTK GPS/GLONASS. The result of study is included within range 5cm, we would like to propose an effective and useful approach method to utilize the satellite for road alignment information system by evaluating the represented road alignment.

  • This paper describes the design for a defective product inspection device for the curved glass used in smart-phone. Cameras are used as inspection devices to find cracks in LCDs (Liquid Crystal Displays), PDPs (Plasma Display Panels), etc. The devices used to inspect the curved glass used in smart-phone consist of a camera, two back-light apparatus, an inspection apparatus main body, and an image processing program. Camera image calibration was performed to smooth an image taken with the camera, and as a result, the average error was less than 0.12 pixels. And the image of a smart-phone's curved glass taken with the camera was processed using the produced program. As a result, the program could correctly extract the cracks on the curved glass. Thus, it is thought that the designed inspection device can successful detect cracks in curved tempered glass.

  • Recently, many parts including military uniform and combat boots have been changed into functional ones in company with the development of military supplies. Especially, problems such as crack of soles and defective boots regarding combat boots have been improved, which is the motive of this study. As a result of verifying other theses, the study on the satisfaction of combat boots is not existent. The contents of study are the pressure of combat boots, the analysis on the shoelace of combat boots as the instrument for suicide and they are not interesting, which is the reason to become a subject of this study.

  • Holographic interferornetric tomography can provide reconstruction of instantaneous three dimensional gross flow fields. The technique however confronts ill-posed reconstruction problems in practical applications. Experimental data are usually limited in projection and angular scanning when a field is captured instantaneously or under the obstruction of test models and test section enclosures. An algorithm, based on a series expansion method, has been developed to improve the reconstruction under the ill-posed conditions. A three-dimensional natural convection flow around two interacting isothermal cubes is experimentally investigated. The flow can provide a challenging reconstruction problem and lend itself to accurate numerical solution for comparison. The refractive index fields at two horizontal sections of the thermal plume with and without an opaque object are reconstructed at a limited view angle of 80" The experimental reconstructions are then compared with those from numerical calculation and thermocouple thermometry. It confirms that the technique is applicable to reconstruction of reasonably complex, three-dimensional flow fields.elds.

  • The clothing by bias-cut fabric are outstanding in their shilluettes mainly due to their high level of drapability. The clothing, however, need a specific cutting process for being even trimming line skirts. The 3-D trimming system developed in the study has been successful in making high-quality skirts with extremely even trimming line. The system is expected to make quality apparel in shorter manufacturing time.

  • 우리나라는 전국에 약 17,500여개의 크고 작은 농업용저수지가 있으며, 이 중 약 89%는 설치된 지 40년이 지나 노후화가 이뤄지고 있다. 최근에는 기후변화 영향으로 홍수피해가 대형화되고 있어 농촌지역의 홍수재해 발생시 저수지 하류부의 인명피해 및 농경지 침수피해는 증가될 것으로 예상된다. 한국농어촌공사는 농업용저수지의 효율적인 물관리 및 재해방지를 위해 자동수위계측기를 활용한 실시간 저수위 자료를 구축하고 있다. 기후변화에 따른 홍수피해를 신속하게 대응하기 위해서는 과거 홍수사상에 대한 저수지 모델링을 수행하고 그 결과를 농촌지역 풍수해 방지를 위한 의사결정 자료로 활용하게 된다. 기상예측정보의 활용에 앞서 농업용저수지의 홍수모의가 과거 수문사상을 현실적으로 재현하는지를 검토할 필요가 있어 본 연구에서는 저수지 홍수분석의 검정자료인 저수위 자료에 대한 활용성 평가를 수행하였다. 대상저수지는 ${{\circ}{\circ}}$농촌용수구역 내 위치한 ${{\circ}{\circ}}$저수지로 하고, 10분 단위의 저수위 자료를 활용하였다. 연도별 원시자료에 대한 결측, 불량자료, 이상치 등을 검토하고, 그 결과에 대한 유형분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과는 과거 홍수사상에 대한 농업용저수지 홍수모의 분석 및 검정을 통해 강우레이더 등 기상예측정보 기반의 농촌지역 홍수피해 산정결과의 신뢰도를 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
