  • This paper addresses the design and implementation of class distribution in distributed object-oriented databases. The proposed strategy of distribution consists of two-step design of fragments. One is class fragmentation and the other is allocation of fragments. In step of class fragmentation, we have defined partitioning algorithms to reflect the characteristics of object-oriented databases such as method, inheritance and composite-object. In step of allocation, we have defined the objective function for allocation considering system operating cost including storage, query processing and communication and implemented it using Genetic Algorithm.

  • 3차원 그래픽 렌더링은 화면상의 각 화소에 대하여 색깔뿐만 아니라 깊이 정보가지 계산해야 하기 때문에 방대한 계산량과 메모리 접근, 그리고 데이터 전송량을 필요로 하기 때문이다. 따라서 실시간 3차원 그래픽 처리를 위해서 병렬 처리 기법을 도입한다. 그러나 기존 그래픽 가속엔진은 병렬처리 기법으로 영상-병렬성을 이용한 화면 분할 방식을 사용하기 때문에 크게 두 가지 단점이 발생한다. 첫 번재는 화면 영역의 경게에 위치하는 다각형들에 대한 중복계산이고, 두 번째는 낮은 PE(Processing Element) 활용도이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 객체 기반 렌더링(OBR : Object Based Rendering)방식을 바탕으로 하는 그래픽 가속엔진을 제안하였다. OBR 시스템의 목적은 화면 분할 방식의 불필요한 오버헤드를 제거하여 수행 성능을 높이고, 자원을 효율적으로 사용하여 하드웨어 구성비용을 줄이는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션을 통하여 OBR 시스템이 화면 분할 방식의 대표적인 그래픽 가속기인 PixelFlow와의 성능을 상대적으로 비교하였다. 결론적으로 OBR 시스템은 화면 분할 방식보다 더 적은 하드웨어 자원으로 보다 효율적으로 렌더링을 수해하였다.

Studies on the Bioavailable Amino Acid of Feather Meals Processed by Different Methods - Available Amino Acid on the Meal Feeding of Semipurified and Purified Diet with Chick - (가공방법을 달리한 우모분의 아미노산 이용율에 관한 연구(I) -순수사료와 준순수사료의 Meal Feeding 하에서의 아미노산 이용율 -)

  • This study was conducted to bioassay of amino acid availability of feather meal processed by a different methods, commercial feather meal and raw feather meal, The feather meals were processed by labolatory pressure cooker(autoclave) at 2kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 30 minutes ; 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 90 minutes : 4kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 120 minutes. Chick employed in the present experiment were Abor Acre strain, male or meat type (body weight, 100-140g), fed with semipurified diet and protein free diet was given during the determination of the metabolic and endogeneous amino acid. The contents of amino acid of samples were investigated by ion-exchange chromatography. The results were as follows; 1. The amino acid availability of raw, 2kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 30 minutes, commercial, 4kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 120 minutes and 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 90 minutes of feather meal were -3.09, 63.28, 67.47, 71.22 and 73.75% respectively. 2. The essential amino acid availability of raw, 2kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 30 minutes, commercial, 4kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 120 minutes and 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 90 minutes of feather meal were 2.55, 66.78, 66.89, 72,56 and 73.62%, respectively. 3. In individual amino acid of the different processing loather meal and commercial feather meal, biovailabilities were increased methionine, phenylalanine, leucine, arginine, threonine, isoleucine, however, histidine, lysine and aspartic acid were remarkely decreased. In conclusion, the bioavailability or amino acid for the feather meal processed at 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 90 minutes was superior to those of other treatment or raw feather meal.

The Effects of Stamping and Roasting Treatments on Volatile Aromatic Components in Curry Powder (미분쇄 및 배전처리가 카레분의 휘발성 향기성분의 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • Effects of stamping and roasting treatments on change of volatile aromatic components in curry powder were investigated by gas chromatography. These were conducted for improving volatile aromatic flavor and for improving aging effect. Major volatile aromatic components of curry powder were eugenol, cuminaldehyde, myristicin, anethole, eugenolacetate, cinnamaldehyde, linalool, limonene, p-cymene and ${\gamma}-terinene$. By stamping treatment, the content of low volatile components increased till 10 min, whereas that of high volatile components started to increase after 10 min. The content of low volatile components decreased with increasing roasting time.

High Hydrostatic Pressure Sterilization of Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Escherichia coli in Raw Oyster (생굴 중 Vibrio parahaemolyticus와 Escherichia coli의 초고압 살균)

  • Raw oyster (Crassostrea gigas) was inoculated with Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Escherichia coli, treated with high hydrostatic pressure and evaluated for microbial counts. Cell death of V. parahaemolyticus (Vp) increased with the increase of applied pressure. Vp starting inoculum of $3.8{\times}10^5\;CFU/mL$ was totally eliminated after exposure to 200 MPa for 10 min at $22^{\circ}C$ Viable cell of Vp decreased with the increase in treatment time and dropped below the detection limit with treament of 25 min at $22^{\circ}C/150\;MPa$. The number of Vp by treatment of $0^{\circ}C$ and $10^{\circ}C$ for 20 and 25 mon at 100 MPa, respectively. For E. coli, there was an initial lag up to 250 MPa gollowed by a rapid decline. Treatment at 325 MPa/$22^{\circ}C$ for 15 min caused 5-log reduction, while that at 375 MPa resulted in total reduction of starting inoculum of $4.0{\times}10^7\;CFU/mL$. Lower treatment temperature showed higher killing effect of E. coli at the same treatment pressure and time. Viable cell of E. coli decreased with the increase in treatment time, and 4-log reduction was achieved with treatment of 5 min at $10^{\circ}C$/350 MPa and then total reduction was achieved after treatment of 15 mon. Higher pressure, lower temperature and longer time were more effective in sterilizing V. parahaemolyticus and E. coli.

  • Join operation exert a great effect on the performance of system in temporal database as in the relational database. Especially, as for the temporal join, the optimization of interval partition decides the performance of query processing. In this paper, to improve the efficiency of parallel join query in temporal database. I proposed Minimum Interval Partition(MIP) scheme that time interval partitioning. The validity of this MIP algorithm that decides minimum breakpoint of the partition is proved by example scenario and I confirmed improved efficiency as compared with existing partition algorithm.

Effect of Digestive Enzymes on the Allergenicity of Autoclaved Market Pork Sausages (가압가열 처리한 시판 돈육 소시지의 항원성에 미치는 소화효소의 영향)

  • Food allergy is a serious nutritional problem in both children and adults. Therefore, food allergenicity reduction methods are greatly needed. The allergenicity is altered by various manufacturing processes, and the digestibility of food proteins can be affected by food processing. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of in-vitro digestibility on the allergenicity of autoclaved market pork sausages using pepsin (30min) and trypsin (5, 30, 60, 90, and 120min). The binding ability of the porcine serum albumin (PSA) from sausages A and B significantly decreased by about 30 and 23%, respectively, after autoclave treatment (121; 5, 10, and 30 min). After the pepsin and trypsin treatments, the binding ability of products A and B at 30 min decreased. These competitive indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ci-ELISA) results corresponded well with the sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and immunoblotting results. The results demonstrated that the allergenicity of pork sausages considerably decreased after autoclave treatment, and were also maintained or decreased after enzyme treatment. Accordingly, autoclave treatment represents a promising processing technology for the reduction of the allergenicity of diverse food products.

A Mesh Partitioning Using Adaptive Vertex Clustering (적응형 정점 군집화를 이용한 메쉬 분할)

  • In this paper, a new adaptive vertex clustering using a KD-tree is presented for 3D mesh partitioning. A vertex clustering is used to divide a huge 3D mesh into several partitions for various mesh processing. An octree-based clustering and K-means clustering are currently leading techniques. However, the octree-based methods practice uniform space divisions and so each partitioned mesh has non-uniformly distributed number of vertices and the difference in its size. The K-means clustering produces uniformly partitioned meshes but takes much time due to many repetitions and optimizations. Therefore, we propose to use a KD-tree to efficiently partition meshes with uniform number of vertices. The bounding box region of the given mesh is adaptively subdivided according to the number of vertices included and dynamically determined axis. As a result, the partitioned meshes have a property of compactness with uniformly distributed vertices.

  • 최근 센서네트워크에 관련된 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 센서의 전력 보전을 위한 많은 기술들이 개발되고 있는데, 본 논문에서는 센서 네트워크의 불필요한 전력 소비를 줄이는 다중 연속질의 최적화에 관련된 방법을 제시한다. 우리는 센서 네트워크에서 전송되는 데이터의 횟수나 전송량의 원천적 문제가 되는 다중 연속 질의의 중복성 문제를 해결하는 분할 알고리즘을 제안한다. 분할 알고리즘은 새롭게 생성된 사용자 질의와 기존의 질의 들 사이에 질의 중첩 질의 영역을 제거하기 위해, QR-트리 기반의 질의 인덱스를 통해 하나의 질의를 둘 이상의 질의로 분할하는 알고리즘이다. QR-트리는 효율적인 질의 분할을 위해, $R^*$-트리를 본 논문의 구조에 맞게 개량한 것이다.

Compound Noun Analysis Strengthened Unknown Noun Processing (미등록어 처리가 강화된 복합명사 분해)

  • 본 논문에서는 분해 패턴을 이용한 재사용 분해 알고리즘과 외래어 인식, 이름 명사 인식, 지명 인식에 의한 미등록어 추정을 이용한 복합명사 분해 방법을 제안한다. 재사용 분해 알고리즘은 현재 분해되는 음절보다 짧은 길이의 음절에서 사용된 분해 방법을 재사용하여 분해가 이루어짐을 의미한다. 외래어 인식에서는 한국어 음절에서 비교적 사용 빈도가 낮은 음절들로 외래어가 구성이 됨을 이용한다. 이름 명사는 한국인의 이름 특성에서 한자 독음을 차용하여 작명이 이루어지기 때문에 일정한 수의 음절이 반복적으로 사용되는 점을 이용하여 인식한다. 지명 인식 방법은 지명이 출현하는 패턴을 분석하여 지명 사전의 검색으로 인식한다. 이와 같이 지명 사전에 의한 지명 인식과 알고리즘에 의한 외래어 및 이름 명사 인식 방법을 사용함으로써 미등록어 추정에 정확성을 높이고 분해 정확율 향상에 기여한다. 실험 결과 미등록어가 포함된 약 1,500어절에 대해 약 98%의 정확율이 나타났고, 미등록어가 사전에 모두 등재된 후의 실험에서는 약 99%의 정확율을 보였다.
