  • This paper deals with feeding site distribution aspect and seasonal distribution change of the wintering geese in Cheonsu bay and reclaimed area from October 2006 to March 2007. Geese were distributed mostly in agricultural land(rice field) during day time. According to the distribution map by maximum counts, observed geese of agricultural land were frequently distributed in large agricultural land. Especially, Geese were more used agricultural land near the reservoir where used as roosting site than the other sites. Diurnal feeding site of the geese were agricultural land near the reservoir with huge flock during early wintering season(October), but geese were used the agricultural land far from reservoir after mid wintering season(after January). The feeding flock size of Geese were decreased and feeding site was more far from the reservoir than in mid wintering season during late wintering season(March). Habitat use rate of the quadrat area where below 1km from the reservoir was most high in early wintering season. Contrary, habitat use rate where 2km far from the reservoir was shown lowest habitat use rate in early wintering season, but it was increased during mid wintering season(January) and decreased after mid wintering season. Habitat use rate of the agricultural land where 2km below and 1 km far from reservoir was shown middle rate, but it was increased until November and decreased after November. This result shown that feeding site preference of the wintering geese was affected by distance from roosting site(reservoir), and feeding site was changed as a food sources decreasing by stay time of geese flock.

  • Soil microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, and actinomycetes were seasonally isolated at depths (0.5~2, $10{\pm}1$, $50{\pm}1cm$) of field. The frequency of microbial isolates was employed for the determination of microbial population (CFU/g dry soil) and distribution ratio (%) in soil. Both bacteria (24-fold) and actinomycetes (7-fold) exhibited the biggest change at the depth of $50{\pm}1cm$, whereas fungi showed the maximum (13-fold) at $10{\pm}1cm$. On the whole, the bacterial population was high in spring soil, fungi in winter, and actinomycetes in autumn. Soil microorganisms also exhibited the seasonal variation on their distribution ratio (%). The maximum distribution ratio (85.7%) of bacteria was observed at the depth of $50{\pm}1cm$ in spring, whereas bacteria showed the minimum (35.2%) at the depth of $10{\pm}1cm$ in spring. The maximum distribution ratio (23.0%) of fungi was found at the depth of $50{\pm}1cm$ in spring, whereas its minimum (0.5%) at the depth of $10{\pm}1cm$ in spring. Actinomycetes exhibited the maximum distribution ratio (45.2%) at the depth of $10{\pm}1cm$ in spring, whereas its minimum (12.2%) was showed at the depth of $50{\pm}1cm$ in spring.

  • This study deals with the spatio-temporal change of land cover and vegetation distribution between 1988 and 2001 using remote sensing images and CIS techniques in west area of Pyeongbuk Province, northwest Korea. Landsat TM and ETM images are geometrically and radiometrically corrected for the analysis of land cover and NDVI. Forested areas are decreased during 13 year from 1988 to 2001 in study area including Sakju, Daegwan, Guseong and Euiju of Pyeongbuk Province, because wasteland are increased by human impact and denuded land by landslide and flooding. DEM analysis presents that settlement and cropland are developed toward higher and steeper mountain slope, together with decrease NDIV values. these changes have resulted from unplanned increase of cropland without consideration of geomorphic condition. Therefore, more researches and reasonable policies are required to protect forest and cropland and stable food supply against natural hazard like landslide.

  • Sedimentological investigations on surface and suspended sediments were performed in Kwangyang Bay of the middle South Sea in order to reveal recent changes in depositional environments concerning anthropogenic influence. A variety of coastal developments caused the texture of the surface sediments to become distinctively finer, particularly in the southwestern part of the bay. Accordingly, the westward lining sedimentary facies was somewhat simplified from triple-mode distribution to the dual-mode one by the construction of POSCO. This east-west distribution to the sedimentary facies has recently graded into the north-south distribution by further construction of other industrial complexes including Kwangyang Port. The prominent textural changes in surface sediments are most likely associated with weakening of tidal currents related to the developments which is anticipated to be .still continued. The distribution and flux estimation of suspended sediments suggest a noticeable import of fine particles into the bay predominantly through a northern entrance rather than the southern entrance. The movements of suspended sediments in the water level near the seabed prevailed over those of the mid and surficial levels.

  • This paper analyzed characteristic of temperature change as well as bottom of tunnel with thermometer according to tunnel length and region during one year. And it measured temperature distribution near tunnel portal. In the paper it was known that tunnel entrance and exit have different characteristic temperature distribution in accordiance with bottom of tunnel per tunnel length. Temperature of tunnel changed from tunnel exit to fifty meter and distribution of tunnel temperature was established uniform regardless of tunnel length. But temperature distribution of tunnel changed in tunnel entrance differ from tunnel exit in the location of one hundred twenty five meter and one hundred fifty meter. Cold air inflowed from tunnel entrance have influenced with the location of one hundred twenty five meter and one hundred fifty meter.

  • It is well-known that when single rock fractures undergo shear displacement, they are influenced by the boundary conditions and fracture roughness. In this case, aperture geometry will change by means of dilation due to the shear displacement. As fractures become the flow paths, fluid flow through rock fractures is affected by the void geometry. In this study, therefore, the influence of roughness on shear behavior of fractures has been investigated, and the resulting hydraulic behavior has been analyzed. In order for this study, a statistical method has been used to generate rough fractures, and they have been adopted into new conceptual models fur fracture shearing and flow calculations. The main contributions of this study are as follows: firstly, fracture shear behavior becomes less brittle with decreasing fracture roughness and increasing normal stress. Then, the characteristics of aperture distribution becomes those of roughness of fractures indicating its hydraulic significance. Finally, it is observed that with decreasing fracture roughness the breakdown of channel flow occurs more slowly.

  • This paper analyzed the change of subthreshold current for gate oxide thickness of double gate(DG) MOSFET. Poisson's equation had been used to analyze the potential distribution in channel, and Gaussian function had been used as carrier distribution. The potential distribution was obtained as the analytical function of channel dimension, using the boundary condition. The subthreshold current had been analyzed for gate oxide thickness, and projected range and standard projected deviation of Gaussian function. Since this analytical potential model was verified in the previous papers, we used this model to analyze the subthreshold current. Resultly, we know the subthreshold current was influenced on parameters of Gaussian function and gate oxide thickness for DGMOSFET.

  • Design parameters which used to analyze the stress distribution on the tank wall were defined to develop the propellant tank and obtain optimal values. 1/4 modeling of total tank was selected to calculate the stress distribution with respect to the variation of the support lug location and the tank wall thickness and 1/2 modeling was selected for the stress distributions with respect to the variation of fuel outlet location. Actually, 350psi was applied as static load and 12 gravity as a dynamic load during launching on the internal tank wall. The structural analysis was done with respect to attaching condition of the tank in the satellite. Also the effect of the variation of the propellant outlet location from $0^{\cire}$ to $25^{\cire}$ on the stress distribution was investigated. The equivalent stress distribution and optimal parameters induced from analysis results of the each condition will be used as the fundamental data to design the propellant tank.
