The design of SIMIP for the continuous session between a static host and a mobile host in client-server environment (클라이언트 서버 환경에서 이동호스트와 고정호스트간 지속적인 세션을 지원하는 SIMIP 설계)

  • 본논문은 TCP/IP를 사용하는 기존의 LAN상에 이동 호스트들이 셀의 형태로 덧붙여진 환경에서 이동 호스트와 고정 호스트간의 지속적인 세션을 지원하는 개선된 IP 체계인 SIMIP을 제안하였다. 이동형 프로토콜 설계시 라우팅 최적화가 매우 중요한 항목이고 이는 이동 호스트의 위치정보 관리방법과 직접적인 관계가 있다. 기존의 아이비엠과 마쓰시다 제안은 이를 집중화하였으며 콜롬비아와 소니제안은 이를 분산화하였다. MH 위치정보를 집중화하면 트라이앵글 문제로 인해 최적의 라우팅 경로를 지원할 수 없으며 집중화된 라우터의 실패 발생시는 위험도가 매우 크다. 반면에 분산화하면 위의 문제들은 해결되지만 캡슐화되는 주소를 찾기위해 CACH 또는 AMT와 같은 복잡한 기법이 요구된다. SIMIP은 MH위치정보를 DMR에 집중화하였으나 DMR 실패 발생시는 복수의 GMR중에서 하나가 자동적으로 DMR로 대체되어 위험도를 최소화시켰고, 'DMR 경로변경'에 의해 최적의 라우팅 경로를 지원하였다는 점에서 다른 제안들과 차이가 있다. 이동에 따른 주소변경을 해결하기 위해 가상네트워크 기법을 적용하였고, 이동 호스트로의 데이터 송신시 디폴트 라우팅 개념을 이용하였고, 이동라우터간 터널링에 IPIP 캡슐화를 사용하였다. SIMIP은 다른 제안에 비해 실용성있고, 신뢰성이 강하며, 구현이 용이하므로 산업계에서 활용가치가 있으리라본다.

An Efficient Server Selection Over The Multi-site Internet Environments (멀티 사이트 인터넷 환경에서 효율적인 서버 선택)

  • 인터넷 서비스 품질의 향상을 위해 고성능 서버의 증설 및 트래픽 분산 등 서비스 대역의 확장으로 인터넷 접속 장치인 서버 및 가입자망의 접속 속도는 급속히 향상되었으나, 인터넷의 접속 품질과 속도에 대한 만족도는 기대에 못 미치고 있다. 이러한 문제는 인터넷 접속장치의 증설로는 증가하는 트래픽을 수용하는 데에는 한계가 있고, 사용자측 노드에서 CP(Content Provider) 서버를 이르는 미들마일(Middel-mile) 구간이 개선되지 못하는데 원인이 있다. 본 논문에서는 지역적으로 분산된 멀티 사이트 인터넷 환경에서 각 클라이언트의 위치에 따라 클러스터링된 서버들의 로드 밸런싱을 유지하면서 서버와 사용자 측 노드를 최소화하여 사용자에게 효율적인 서버를 선택하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법에는 효율적인 서버를 선택하기 위해 네트워크 상태 감시자(NSP)와 컨텐츠 서버 관리자를 두어 각 서버의 상태와 각 분산된 네트워크의 상태를 파악할 수 있도록 하였으며, 서버 선택 알고리즘과 알고리즘을 실현하기 위한 서비스 구조를 제시하였다. 또한, 효율적인 서비스 서버를 선택하기 위한 인자들과 측정방법을 나타내었으며, 제안된 서비스 구조에서 실험을 통하여 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • 유비쿼터스 환경에서 스마트 객체에 부착되는 RFID 태그에는 스마트 객체를 유일하게 식별하기 위한 식별자 만이 저장되고 객체의 상세 정보는 별도의 정보 서버에 분산 저장 및 관리가 된다. 이와 같이 분산되어 있는 정보를 사용하기 위해서는 사용자가 일일이 정보 서버의 위치를 알아 내고, 각 정보 서버로부터 필요한 정보를 얻어 와야 하는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 여러 정보 서버에 분산 저장되어 있는 다양한 종류의 객체 정보를 실시간으로 통합하여 사용자에게 제공하고, 또한 객체 정보의 유형 및 특성에 따라 카탈로그 검색, 소유권 변화, 포함 관계 변화, 추적 등의 스마트 객체에 특화된 질의 기능을 제공하기 위한 스마트 객체 정보 통합을 위한 미들웨어의 설계 내용을 소개한다.

  • 최근의 위치 측위 기술과 무선 통신 기술의 발전에 따라 위치 기반 서비스에 대한 관심이 크게 증가하고 있다. 기존의 단일 노드 기반 시스템으로는 처리하기 힘든 휴대폰 사용자와 같은 대용량의 객체를 처리하기 위해 제시된 클러스터 기반 분산 컴퓨팅 구조로 GALIS 아키텍처가 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 제시한 프로토타입은 그동안 구현된 기존 GALIS 프로토타입보다 개선된 구조로 SLDS에서 Global $Cell\_ID$를 적용하여 노드의 분할 합병 시 발생할 수 있는 처리 비용을 감소시켰다. 또한 LLDS에서는 필터링을 통해 손실들 수 있는 위치 데이타 정보를 보다 신뢰할 수 있는 데이타로 만들기 위한 기능을 추가하여 질의 시 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 상황을 대비할 수 있게 되었다.

  • With the structure of tilde-area computing system which Is specified by a researching team in Vrije University, Netherlands, lots of researchers and developers have been progressing the studies of global location and interconnection services of distributed objects existing in global sites. Most of them halve focused on binding services of only non-duplicated computational objects existing wide-area computing sites without any consideration of duplication problems. But all of objects existing on the earth rave the duplicated characteristics according to how to categorize their own names or properties. These objects with the same property can define as duplicated computational objects. Up to now, the existing naming or trading mechanism has not supported the binding services of duplicated objects, because of deficiency of independent location service. For this reason, we suggest a new model that can not only manages locations of duplicated objects In wide-area computing environments, but also provide minimum binding time by considering both the optimal selection of one of duplicated objects and load balance among distributed systems. Our model is functionally divided into 2 parts, one part to obtain an unique object handle of duplicated objects with same property as a naming and trading service, and the other to search one or more contact addresses by a node manager using a liven object handle, as a location service For location transparency, these services are independently executing each other. Based on our model, we described structure of wide-area integrated tree and algorithms for searching and updating contact address of distributed object on this tree. finally, we showed a federation structure that can globally bind distributed objects located on different regions from an arbitrary client object.

  • As the internet technologies develop, the geographic information system environment is changing to the web-based service. Since geospatial information of the existing Web-GIS services were developed independently, there is no interoperability to support diverse map formats. In spite of the same geospatial information object it can be used for various proposes that is duplicated in GIS separately. It needs intelligent strategies for optimal replica selection, which is identification of replication geospatial information objects. And for management of replication objects, OMG, GLOBE and GRID computing suggested related frameworks. But these researches are not thorough going enough in case of geospatial information object. This paper presents a model of location service, which is supported for optimal selection among replication and management of replication objects. It is consist of tree main services. The first is binding service which can save names and properties of object defined by users according to service offers and enable clients to search them on the service of offers. The second is location service which can manage location information with contact records. And obtains performance information by the Load Sharing Facility on system independently with contact address. The third is intelligent selection service which can obtain basic/performance information from the binding service/location service and provide both faster access and better performance characteristics by rules as intelligent model based on rough sets. For the validity of location service model, this research presents the processes of location service execution with Graphic User Interface.

  • Traditionally, electric power systems have been known as the centralized structures, which is organized into placing customers at the end of the supply chain. However, recent decades have witnessed the emergence of distributed energy resources(:DERs) such as rooftop solar, farming PV system, small wind turbines, battery energy storage systems and smart home appliances. With the emergence of distributed energy resources, the role of distributed system operators(:DSOs) will expand. The increasing penetration of DERs could lead to a less predictable and reverse flow of power in the system, which can affect the traditional planning and operation of distribution and transmission networks. This raises the need for a change in the role of the DSOs that have conventionally planned, maintained and managed networks and supply outages. The objective of this research is to designed the future distribution operation system with multi-DERs and the proposed distribution system model is implemented by hardware-in-the-loop simulation(HILS). The test results show the normal operation domain and reduction of distribution line loss.

  • The recent development of overlay network technology enables distributed sharing of various types of contents. Although overlay network has great advantages as a huge content repository, it is practically difficult to directly provide such Internet service as streaming of contents. On the other hand, the media server, which is specialized in content services, has excellent service capabilities, but it suffers from the huge contents that are constantly created and requires large expansion of severs and storages, and thus requires much effort for efficient management of the huge repository. Hence, the association of an overlay network of huge storage with a media server of high performance content service will show a great synergy effect. In this paper, a location-aware scheme of constructing overlay networks and associating it with media server is proposed, and then cache-based contents management and service policy are proposed for efficient content service. The performance is analysed for one of the content services, streaming service.

  • Many types of services appear in a ubiquitous environment promulgated by the evolution of web service technology with the advances in wireless network technologies and mobile computing devices. These services differ according to their location environments, such as home, office, airport, and exhibition. It is required that a different set of services dynamically drops into the mobile user's device depending on their context and the distributed localized services are efficiently managed to seamlessly provide these localized services to the user. This paper proposes an Autonomic Service Composition System (ASCS) to provide useful services to the user with minimal or no effort for service selection. ASCS seamlessly installs the programs of localized services in the user's mobile device. It automatically provides localized services to users that are in the local service zone. Also ASCS can manage distributed localized services remotely and efficiently. ASCS is composed of a Remote Manager, Service Gateway, and Mobile Device. The prototype implementation uses 802.11b Wireless Network and Bundles using the OSGi Framework.

  • Recently, due to a explosive growth in the mobile Internet traffic, the problem of excessive data traffic handling on core network and thus scalability problem have been magnified in 3GPP LTE/SAE networks. Current LTE/SAE network based on the central P-GW (PDN Gateway) used as mobility anchor cannot deal with such demand for exponentially increasing mobile Internet traffic. In this paper, we propose a new LTE/SAE network architecture supporting distributed P-GWs and corresponding distributed mobility management to solve these problems. For this, in addition to the deployment of such distributed P-GWs, we propose a dynamic and distributed mobility management by distributing MMEs (Mobility Management Entities) which dynamically manages the location information of a UE's PDN connection, and also propose a handover procedure of such PDN connections by using the proposed distributed P-GWs and MMEs. The performance of the proposed dynamic and distributed LTE/SAE network system is compared with the current LTE/SAE network system in terms of handover latency and network throughput.
