  • In order for a classification system to be useful in every day business environments, it has to reflect peculiar characteristics of enterprises and organizations. By automating the generation process of classification, the overall operation of classification system becomes effective and efficient. However, in order for it to be really useful, human input and interventions are needed from the very beginning phase of the classification generation. This paper proposes an user-guided classification generation algorithm, in which the user inputs a specific level of the classification that she/he wants. Also we propose and implement manipulation operators to tailor the initial classification into the shape that user wants.

  • For the exact status of the land such as land cover classification and land use classification, feature classification system has been utilized in several organizations and agencies. However, those classification systems are limited to detection of land change and it's also not suited for the extraction of land changed. In this study, we would proposed a standard feature classification system which presents both in natural and artificial change of land effectively. Based on comparison and analysis of domestic and foreign relevant feature classification system, we proposed a standard feature classification system. In order to validate the applicability of the proposed feature classification system, we evaluated the accuracy with using automatic feature classification based on supervised classification and pre-knowledge hierarchical classification.

  • Recently, researches on ontology-based pattern classification have been tried out in many fields. However, in most of the researches, the ontology which represents the knowledge about pattern classification is just referred during the processes of the pattern classification. In this paper, we propose ontology-based fuzzy classifier for pattern classification which is extended from the fuzzy rule-based classifier In order to realize the proposed classifier, we construct an ontology by conceptualizing the method of fuzzy rule-based pattern classification and generate ontology inference rules for pattern classification. Lastly, we show the validity o) the proposed classifier through the experiment of pattern classification on the Fisher's IRIS dataset.

  • The amount of incoming e-mails is increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of Internet. Therefore, it is more required to classify incoming e-mails efficiently and accurately. Currently, the e-mail classification techniques are focused on two way classification to filter spam mails from normal ones based mainly on Bayesian and Rule. The clustering method has been used for the multi-way classification of e-mails. But it has a disadvantage of low accuracy of classification. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-way e-mail classification method that uses PCA for automatic category generation and dynamic category hierarchy for high accuracy of classification. It classifies a huge amount of incoming e-mails automatically, efficiently, and accurately.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the flora of Mt Hanseok (Inje-gun, Gangwon-do) from March, 2013 to August, 2014. Vascular plants were summarized, numbering 603 taxa including 101 families, 337 genera, 520 species, 5 subspecies, 69 varieties and 9 forms. Among the 603 investigated taxa, 14 Korean endemic, 17 rare plants and 99 plants specially designated by the Ministry of Environment were also included. Naturalized plants amounted to 37 taxa. The percentage of naturalized plants species and the urbanization index were estimated to be 6.1% and 11.5%, respectively. Useful plants of the 603 taxa listed consist of 223 taxa (36.9%) which are edible plants, 217 taxa (35.9%) which are pasture plants, 165 taxa (27.3%) as medicinal plants, 67 taxa (11.1%) as ornamental plants, 22 taxa (3.6%) which are timber plants and 9 taxa (1.4%) of miscellaneous plants.

  • Mt. Hwang-ak, as a temple forest belongs to Baekdudaegan. flora investigation was conducted to better know of current natural environment. At the same time, For the understanding of planted plants which is in the traditional Korea buddhism temple for landscape, research on Jikji temple had taken place during 2019 April to October with 12 times. As a result, the list of plants at Mt. Hwang-ak was classified as a total of 534 taxa comprising of 96 families, 312 genus, 462 species, 4 subspecies, 59 varieties, 9 forma. This listed plants could be classified as 4 categories by each standard. the listed plants were 14 species of Korean endemic plants, 13 species of Rare plants data book in korea, 34 species of Invasive Alien Plants in South Korea with 10% of Urbanization Ratio and 6% of Naturalization Ratio respectively, 167 species of List of Medicinal Resources Plants in Korea. In the Temple of Jikji, could find 81 species of planted plants that widely distributed all around the temple for landscape. Compared to other temple, We could observed 51% of species were overlapping, Among them, 9% of species overlapping with more than three temples.
