This article investigates the role of Japan in Korean consumption of Nordic design. In spite of the development of greater access to wide information and global markets, the popular trends in Korea have been mediated by Japan. The cultural power of Japan comes from otaku subculture. Japanese influence can be discussed by two sides. One is the images or symbols composing the Nordic style in Korea. The other is the way how to consume the Nordic design. Japanese neopop images combined with the Nordic design. Japanese 'slow movie' has combined American Kinfolk style with Nordic style. 'Database consumption' from otaku subcultre conceptualized by Azma Hiroki can be applied to Korean consumption of Nordic design.

EU has pursued of the economic growth and the promotion of jobs by a free movement of workers. The free labour mobility brings a sustainable economic development through the creating jobs and the acquisition of a new knowledge and technology, but it also produces the geographical unequality of the movement of workers. And the enlargement of the EU redistributes geographically the flow of labour mobility. The flow of labour movement within EU changes to the structure of mobility that moves from the North to the North instead of the movement from the South to the North as an economic development in the South and an economic transformation to the service and hightech industry in the North. The mobility of unskilled workers has diminished, but the mobility of expert workers has increased. The flow of labour movement within EU has a structure hierarchic that the experts labour move from the North to the North, and the unskilled labour move from the South to the North and from the northern Africa to the South of Europe.

최근 게임에서 '신화'적인 요소가 들어가는 경우는 이름, 고유 명칭만 들어가거나 신화의 이야기를 게임 세계관에 참조만 하는 정도로 그치고 있다. 비교적 최근 북유럽 신화 자체를 다룬 '갓 오브 워'가 나오기는 했지만, 아직도 신화 그 자체를 다룬 게임은 적은 편이다. 그리스 신화, 켈트 신화, 조로아스터교 신화 등 여러 신화가 있지만 그 중에서도 북유럽 신화의 다양한 이야기들을 조사하여 게임으로써 어떤 장르에, 어떤 방향으로 스토리를 적용시켜야 할지 스토리텔링의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

The present paper examines trust, interpersonal relationship, and civil society in Scandinavia and East Asia. In the first section, the concepts of trust and democracy are defined. In the second section, the cultural transformations that paved the way for the development of democracy in the West and Scandinavia are reviewed. In the third section, the basis of trust and democracy in East Asia, focusing on Confucianism, is reviewed. In the fourth section, a review of an empirical study conducted with a national sample in Denmark, Sweden, Japan, and Korea is presented. The results indicate that both the Scandinavian and East Asian respondents support the basic ideas of liberal democracy and trust close ingroup members. East Asian respondents are less likely than Scandinavian respondents to trust their colleagues and outgroup members and much less likely to trust political and government institutions. Scandinavian respondents prefer tolerant leaders who lead by ideas, while Koreans prefer strong paternalistic and moral leaders. Japanese respondents are less supportive of paternalistic leaders. Overall, results indicate that in Scandinavia and East Asia, although the basic ideas about democracy and human rights are similar, the methods of implementing these ideas are different. When compared with Scandinavia, there is much lower transparency and accountability in East Asia. In the final section, the challenges that the modern democracies face are discussed.

EU is enlarging geographically by the process of expansion and is intensifying the economic bloc by the formation of European Union and European Monetary Union. This situation increases the direct investment in the intra-EU members and changes the intra-EU flows. First, EU is formed by the economic geographical space of the North and the South with a differentiation of economic factors and the degree of economic development. The North played a leading role for an augmentation of the intra-EU direct investment after the formation of EU. Second, the manufacturing industry of the intra-EU direct investment by industry was increased remarkably. In the intra-EU direct investment flow by region and industry, the South made relatively an outflow of the service industry and an inflow of the manufacturing industry. But the North made an outflow of the manufacturing industry and an inflow of the service industry. Third, in the intra-EU direct investment flows by manufacturing industry, the North concentrated in the petro-chemistry, metal-machinery and agro-food industry, however, the South which have relatively weak competitiveness compared to the North tends to show balanced investment patterns in all industries.
