  • Property development along railway lines is a critical issue at present. Because various railway lines exist in most large cities, there are numerous properties and open spaces to be developed for communities associated with these lines. The active development of railway properties can be a means to resolve housing shortage problems in cities. In this first part of this paper, noise and vibration levels of an artificial area of land and apartment complex are measured and evaluated to derive a design strategy for vibration reduction purposes.

Alternative Evaluation Model in the Development of Environment-friendly Residential Land (택지개발사업의 환경친화적 대안평가모형 구축)

  • Residential land development projects are tending upwards recently. However, an indiscreet residential land development has tended to damage environment by destroying existing green lands and trees of target lands and generating many cut slopes with transformation of its topography. There are Prior Environmental Review(PER) for district designation and Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) before approval on development plans. PER is implemented after developing a residential land development plan and EIA is implemented after completing a detail design. As the result, many of residential land development projects are passive to reduce potential environmental problems on the designated sites. Object of this study is to construct an evaluation system on alternatives in the early step of site designation for implementing residential land development projects with environment-friendly and sustainable way. For this, alternative evaluation model is constructed by using Fuzzy Inference and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method based on Environmental Evaluation Factors of residential land development project, which are proposed in the precedent research. If a decision maker evaluates environment damage by ten-point method, the point is transformed Environmental Performance(EP) by Fuzzy Inference, and then, applying weight that is already calculated by AHP method, Total Environmental Performance(TEP) is calculated. After all, an alternative with the highest TEP is selected as the best one. Using this evaluation system, more than two alternatives of residential land development project site, which can hold location appropriateness in the early under undecided land use plan, can be evaluated quantitatively. As environmental damages, which can be generated by implementing a residential land development project, can be detected in the early step, environmental damages can be removed or reduced at the source.

Effect of Canopy Covering on Thermal Insulation and Freezing Tolerence of 'Shiranui' Hybrid Mandarin Cultivated in Field During Winter Season (수관 피복이 노지재배 '부지화' 감귤나무의 보온과 내한성에 미치는 영향)

  • It were investigated changes in internal and external temperature, relative humidity using tyvek, weedstop, and 35% shading net as covering material to reduce the freezing damage of 'Shiranui' hybrid mandarin grown in open field. It were also evaluated canopy covering effect and LT50 of leaves by covering material when it was cold at -2℃. In tyvek, temperature difference between inside and outside was low at the height of 1.5m and was high at 0.4m. The relative humidity differed greatly between day and night, and was high at 6-8 a.m. At -2℃, Sum of temperature at the height of 1.5m of canopy for 24-hour after covering were at 3.4℃ higher in tyvek than in control. The LT50 of leaves was at 1.51℃ in tyvek, 1.33℃ in withstop, and 1.61℃ in 35% shading net lower than in control. Considering thermal insulation and relative humidity in canopy, tyvek is expected to reduce low temperature damage when covering after making a fine hole for ventilation.

Sensitivity analysis of hydrogeologic characteristics for recharge and discharge rates assessment in the artificial recharge site (인공함양 주입량-양수량 평가를 위한 수리지질특성 민감도 분석)

  • 인공함양 시설을 설계 및 운영하는 단계에서 설치 예정부지의 자연적 특성(지형, 지질, 기후 등)과 인공적 특성(주입정과 양수정의 거리, 주입량, 양수량 등)은 중요한 인자라고 볼 수 있다. 인공함양 예정 부지의 개념모델을 설정하고 수리전도도와 이격거리(주입정과 양수정의 직선거리)에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 인공함양 예정 부지는 충적대수층이며, 인공함양 주입량과 양수량은 $150m^3/day$로 동일하게 설정하였다. HydroGeoSphere 모델링을 통한 민감도 분석은 수리전도도($10^{-1}cm/sec$, $10^{-2}cm/sec$, $10^{-3}cm/sec$, $10^{-4}cm/sec$)와 이격거리(10 m, 50 m, 100 m) 조건에 대해 총 12회 수행하였다. 수리전도도가 $10^{-1}cm/sec$$10^{-2}cm/sec$인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 100 m 범위 이내에서는 지하수위 변동이 발생하지 않았다. 수리전도도가 $10^{-3}cm/sec$인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 10 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 14 m 정도로 나타났고, 이격거리가 50 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 31 m 정도로 나타났고, 이격거리가 100 m일 때 5 m 이내의 수위하강이 발생하고 영향반경은 약 34 m 정도로 나타났다. 수리전도도가 $10^{-4}cm/sec$인 경우의 모델링 결과, 이격거리가 증가할수록 양수에 의한 수위하강과 영향반경이 증가하였으며, 낮은 수리전도도로 인해 양수로 인한 수두손실을 회복할 수 없었기에 양수정 주변에서 반경 수십 m 이상의 수두하강 영역을 형성하고 주입정 근처에서는 주입속도가 대수층의 투수능력에 비해 상당히 높기 때문에 5 m 정도의 수위상승이 나타났다. 모델링 결과를 분석하여, 수리전도도가 $10^{-3}cm/sec$ 이하이고 이격거리가 10 m 범위 이상인 충적대수층에 $150m^3/day$를 주입하면서 동시에 $150m^3/day$를 양수하는 시스템에서는 지하수위변동이 발생하므로 주입량과 양수량의 조절이 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 우리나라는 산업의 급속성장과 최근 서비스업 분야의 전력소비량이 매우 급증하면서 전력난 문제의 심각성을 더해가고 있으며 계속해서 많은 화두가 되고 있다. 그에 따라 정부에선 매년 신규 발전소의 건설계획을 세우고 있으며 건설계획 중 신규 발전소의 입지선정에는 복잡한 환경영향평가 과정을 거치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 복잡한 환경영향평가 항목들에 대한 자세한 정보들을 지도에 시각화 해주는 방법을 제안하고, 시각화된 정보들을 통하여 여러 개의 신규 발전소의 입지 후보들을 선출한 뒤 각각의 후보 입지의 평가항목들에 대한 점수를 산정하여 비교분석하고 문서화해주는 시뮬레이터 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 본 기술로 인해 신규 발전소의 입지선정 비용을 절감시킬 수 있으며, 다양한 분야에서의 지리정보시스템의 활용 범위를 재고 해볼 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

Characterization of Fracture System for Comprehensive Safety Evaluation of Radioactive Waste Disposal Site in Subsurface Rockmass (방사성 폐기물 처분부지의 안정성 평가검증을 위한 균열암반 특성화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is the simulation of discontinuous rockmass and identification of characteristics of discontinuity network as a branch of the study on characteristics of groundwater system in discontinuous rockmass for evaluation of safety on disposal site of radioactive waste. In this study the site for LPG underground storage was selected for the similarities of the conditions which were required for disposal site of radioactive waste. Through the identification of hydraulic properties. characteristics of discontinuities and selection of discontinuity model around LPG underground storage facility. the applications of discrete fracture network model were evaluated for the analysis of pathway. The orientation and spatial density of discontinuities are primarily important elements for the simulation of groundwater and solute transportation in discrete fracture network model. In this study three fracture sets identified and the spatial intensity (P$_{32}$) of discontinuities is revealed as 0.85 $m^2$/㎥. The conductive fracture intensity (P$_{32c}$) estimated for the simulation area around propane cavern (200${\times}$200${\times}$200) is 0.536 $m^2$/㎥. Truncated conductive fracture intensity (T-P$_{32c}$) is calculated as 0.26 $m^2$/㎥ by eliminating the fracture with the iowest transmissivity and based on this value the pathway from the water curtain to PC 2. PC 3 analyzed.

Numerical Study of Contaminant Pathway for Risk Assessment in Subsurface of Contaminated Sites (오염부지 위해성평가 시 오염물질 노출이동경로 평가를 위한 수치모델 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest conceptual models based on finite numerical method that can be used to assess contaminant transport through subsurface and estimate exposed concentration at contaminated site. This study tested various assumptions of the numerical models for contaminant transport in unsaturated and saturated zones to simulate the pathways to the human exposal point. For this purpose, models for seven possible scenarios of contaminant transport were simulated using the numerical code MODFLOW and MT3D. The simulation results that showed different peak concentrations and travel times were compared. In conclusion, the potential utility of the numerical models in the site specific risk analysis suggested as well as future research ramifications.

  • 최근 컴퓨터 성능 향상과 새로운 머신러닝 알고리즘 개발됨에 따라, 각 분야별 연구자들이 이를 활용한 연구를 다양하게 수행하고 있으며, 하수처리시설의 경우에는 막대한 양의 운영자료가 축척됨에 따라 머신러닝을 활용한 다양한 연구가 가속화 되고 있다. 기존 하수처리장의 물리학적 모델은 적용된 영향 인자에 여러 가지 가정이 고려되어 모델 정확도가 부정확해지는 경향이 있었으며, 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 하수처리장의 수집된 운영자료 및 머신러닝 기반의 예측 모델을 활용하여 예측 모델 정확도를 향상하는 선행 연구들이 진행되고 있다. A 하수처리장의 부지 내에 설치된 센서를 통하여 운영자료가 중앙제어실 서버에 실시간으로 저장되는 자료를 활용하여 NN (Neural Network), SVM (Support Vector Machine), RF (Random Forest) 등과 같은 다양한 머신러닝 모델을 적용하였고, 하수처리장 운영자료를 적용할 경우 어느 모델이 가장 높은 성능이 나타나는지 인사이트를 도출하고자 하였다. 금회 연구는 A 하수처리장을 대상으로 여러 머신러닝 기반 예측 모델을 개발하고, 각 모델의 예측정확도를 서로 평가함으로써, 머신러닝 모델 최적화를 수행할 수 있었다. 이번 연구에서 도출된 결과를 활용하여 하수처리장 예측 모델 최적화를 진행할 경우, 향후 비교적 짧은 시간에 하수처리장 머신러닝 기반 예측 모델 개발이 가능하다는 점에 의의가 있다.

Field Assessment of in Situ Remediation of NO3--contaminated Ground Water Using Zero-valent Iron/Bio Composite Media (영가철/바이오 복합처리제를 이용한 질산성 질소 오염 지하수의 현장 지중정화 적용성 평가)

  • In this study, the assessment of field applicability of in-situ remediation of nitrate-contaminated groundwater located in Yesan-gun was performed. Zero-valent iron/bio composite media injected PRB (Permeable Reactive Barrier) and monitoring well were installed in the contaminated groundwater site and monitored main remediation indicators during the PRB operation. Nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, Fe ion, TOC, and turbidity were analyzed and the diversity and population of microorganism in the PRB installed site were investigated for the verification of effect of injected PRB. In the study site where is an agricultural area, a river flows from west to east that forms a river boundary and the southern area has an impermeable sector. It was found that nitrate flows into the river, which is similar as groundwater flow. Simulation result for the fate of nitrate in groundwater showed steady state of nitrate arrived after 3~5 years passed. However, it is just to consider current conditions with no additional input of contaminant source, if additional input of contaminant source occurs contamination dispersion and time for steady state are expected to be increased. The monitoring results showed that Fe ion, TOC and turbidity in groundwater were not clearly changed in concentration after PRB installation, which indicates adaptability of the injected PRB for remediation of groundwater with no additional harmful effect to water quality. The concentration of nitrate maintained less than 5mg/L until 42 days after PRB installation and recovered its initial concentration after 84 days passed and showed termination of reactivity of injected zero-valent iron/bio composite media for removal nitrate. Nitrite and ammonia ions found after installation of PRB indicates reductive removal of nitrate. And the outstanding increase of microorganism diversity and population of Betaproteobacteria Class which includes denitrification microorganism explains biologically reductive removal of nitrate in injected PRB.

Biosparging 공법을 이용한 석유계탄화수소화합물 오염토양에 대한 현장적용성 평가

  • 부틸알데히드로 오염된 대상 부지에 Biosparging 공법의 현장 적용을 위해 적정 공기 주입 압력 조건을 도출한 결과, 주 오염층인 자갈질 모래층에 공기주입 가능 파괴압력(Pe)는 약 300mmAq로 측정되었으며 4,500mmAq 압력 조건에서는 용존 산소농도의 영향 반경이 약 3 m로 나타났다. 위의 조건을 적용하여 약 150일간 운전한 결과, 영양물질을 투입하지 않은 초기 90일 동안 최고농도 대비 약 90%가 저감되었으며 그 이후에 영양물질을 투입하여 초기 최고 농도 대비 96%가 저감되어 복원목표치인 50ppm을 모든 지역에서 만족시켰다. 또한 생분해 반응속도가 k=0.03/day로 나타나 휘발성이 낮고 생분 해도가 뛰어난 부틸알데히드로 오염된 자갈질 모래층에 Biosparging공법이 성공적으로 적용된 사례이다.
