Youths express their own negative experiences and feelings come from their deeply wounded mind. They seek the root cause of these wounded hearts from other people or external environment. Youths revisited the past to heal painful memories. This study designed ontology in order to provide information about the causes and symptoms of illness of the mind for youth counseling. Application ontology enables high-volume and intricate knowledge not only to get set up systematically but also to be stored as the meaningful information. It is also very useful as an integrating tool of the existing complex counseling nomenclature. And ultimately, through revitalization of the sharing and reuse of materials, it becomes possible to provide client-centered counseling services. Therefore, this study built ontology of the mind-illness as a way to analyze the causes and symptoms of the disease in the client mind for providing personalized youth counseling services.
Recently, poor child problem becomes severe, which is induced by earning differentials, because of the growing social polarization; the gap between the rich and the poor. The children in low-income group tend to have low dignity, anxiety, offense, and shrinking problems, because they frequently confront many negative circumstances, such as eliminating family, leaving home, and financial hardship. Those behavior problems can result in the low scholastic performance. This study deals with the effectiveness of attitude improvement using educational robots. We have a result that the children in welfare institutions have been improved not only in creativity but also in attitude points of view.
In this study, in order to analyze the general awareness of the nuclear power according to the controversy of thyroid cancer around nuclear plant, we investigated risks, preference and economics regarding type of power, and awareness of pre-post nucl ear power targeting the Busan Metropolitan residents. As a result, there has been a change in people's awareness of nuclear power as a result of the controversy thyroid cancer around nuclear plant. Especially, there was the greatest increase in the risk factors compared to before the event(p<0.05). Negative awareness of nuclear risk was shown to be expressed differently accor ding to the difference between groups. It is thought that this is due to the different prior experience of each individuals or obtained information through the interaction with others rather than on scientific and objective grounds. In order to establish a nuclear power policy considering the level of the people in the future, it seems that the efforts to understand the attitudes and opinions of people about nuclear power and above all, a scientific trust in nuclear power should be guaranteed.
Rewards or penalties become informative only when contingent on an immediately preceding response. Our goal was to determine if the brain responds differently to motivational events depending on whether they provide feedback with the contingencies effective for learning. Event-related fMRI data were obtained from 22 volunteers performing a visuomotor categorical task. In learning-condition trials, participants learned by trial and error to make left or right responses to letter cues (16 consonants). Monetary rewards (+500) or penalties (-500) were given as feedback (learning feedback). In random-condition trials, cues (4 vowels) appeared right or left of the display center, and participants were instructed to respond with the appropriate hand. However, rewards or penalties (random feedback) were given randomly (50/50%) regardless of the correctness of response. Feedback-associated BOLD responses were analyzed with ANOVA [trial type (learning vs. random) x feedback type (reward vs. penalty)] using SPM8 (voxel-wise FWE p < .001). The right caudate nucleus and right cerebellum showed activation, whereas the left parahippocampus and other regions as the default mode network showed deactivation, both greater for learning trials than random trials. Activations associated with reward feedback did not differ between the two trial types for any brain region. For penalty, both learning-penalty and random-penalty enhanced activity in the left insular cortex, but not the right. The left insula, however, as well as the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and dorsomedial prefrontal cortex/dorsal anterior cingulate cortex, showed much greater responses for learning-penalty than for random-penalty. These findings suggest that learning-penalty plays a critical role in learning, unlike rewards or random-penalty, probably not only due to its evoking of aversive emotional responses, but also because of error-detection processing, either of which might lead to changes in planning or strategy.

Hysterical aphonia is one of the frequent symptoms in conversion disorders. If it has a recent onset, a manifest induced factor, and a good premorbid adaptation, and another mental disorder is not accompanied, its prognosis is good. We report one case of hysterical aphonia that was bad prognosis. This patient was suffering traumatic event before and after onset, and major depressive disorder was accompanied. Having hysterical aphonia, the patient who had no progress after over an years medicine therapy and often felt strong suicidal urge, was successfully treated by TFT(Thought field therapy) and oriental medicine therapy. Several case studies on hypnotic cure of hysterical aphonia has been reported but they are uncommon internally and have good prognosis. In addition, there were no relevant studies concerning alternative therapy and oriental medication. Our case report is focused on treatment through these methods.
We meet many difficult challenges from many factors such as crime, natural disasters, social unrest, financial problems, employment, and so on. It therefore essential to cope with these negative stressful events to attain a state of personal well-being. Lately in the field of psychology and psychiatry, a concept called 'resilience' has received increasing attention. Resilience embodies the personal qualities that enable one to thrive in the face of adversity. Also it refers to the process of overcoming the negative effect of risk exposure, coping successfully with adversity, and avoiding the negative trajectories associated with risks. Resilience people were expected to do their innovative work behavior well. And SUS(supervisor support), COS(coworker support), OEMC(organizational error management culture) influence the relationship of resilience between Innovative Behavior. This study focused on three question. First, how is resilience relate to individual performance in the organization? And second, are there any moderate factors between resilience and individual performance. As the result of the hierarchical regression analysis, resilience indicates positive effects on IB and IB was predicted by interaction of resilience by SUS and OEMC. Findings in this study indicated that the level of SUS and OEMC should be considered in interpreting the resilience and Innovative Behavior.

Objectives : This study was intended to compare coping style, family support, and parenting behavior between adolescent groups with different levels of perceived stress. Methods : A total of 795 high school students participated in this study. First, they were tested on the Perceived Stress Scale and then were separated into two groups depending on the level of perceived stress. Both groups completed the Scale for the Coping Style, the Family Environment Scale (relationship subscale) and Parenting Behavior Inventory. Results : The high stress group had significantly higher scores on all their coping scores than the low stress group. Also, the high stress group had significantly higher family conflict scores, lower family cohesiveness scores and lower expression scores than the low stress group. The high stress group experienced negative parenting behavior from both parents more often than the low stress group. In the adolescents with low family cohesiveness and expression, the use of active behavioral coping was decreased, if the higher stressful events occurred. The use of avoidant coping by these adolescents increased when there were higher levels of stress in their environment. Conclusion : Low family support directly reduced the usage of active behavioral coping and increased the use of avoidant coping strategy through the mediation of high stress condition.
Both the child's and defendant's testimonies play crucial roles in the court's ruling of a child abuse case. Thus, empirical studies examining a child's truthful report, that is, disclosure, of his or her experience and recantation of the disclosure have manifold practical implications. The objective of the present study was to examine how easily a child recants his or her testimony after witnessing and disclosing an adult engaging in a small mistake. Furthermore, this study examined whether the child's age and emotional support from his or her caregiver predict the recantation of the child's testimony. Children of age 5-8 years played with dolls with the experimenter and witnessed the experimenter breaking the doll mask. The experimenter asked the children to keep it a secret. Then the children had the first memory interview, during which the interviewer induced the child to disclose the incident. Based on the treatment conditions, some children were provided supportive feedback while other received unsupportive feedback from their primary caregivers (mother) regarding the disclosure, then were interviewed for the second time. First, the author of this study examined whether the children would recant their disclosure (whether they would deny the incident after telling the truth of about what happened to the doll), and also examined the features of the child's voluntary reports, that is, the degree of their honesty. The findings of the experiment indicated that there were age-specific differences in the frequency of recantation, meaning that older children (8-9-year-olds) showed a stronger tendency to maintain their recantation in the second interview than relatively younger children (6-7-year-olds). Furthermore, children who received supportive responses from their mothers regarding the disclosure demonstrated more honest reports compared to those who received unsupportive responses from their mothers. The findings of this study assist the understanding of the effects of social-motivational factors on the process of children disclosing the truth when voluntarily recalling a negative incident that they had experienced and provide practical implications in legal aspects.
The debate about whether depressive disorders should be divided into categories or arrayed along a continuum has gone for decade, without resolution. In our review, there is more evidence consistent with the spectrum concept than there is with the idea that depressive disorders constitute discrete clusters marked by relatively discontinuous boundaries. First, "depression spectrum", "is there a common genetic factors in bipolar and unipolar affective disorder", "threshold model of depression" and "bipolar spectrum disorder" are reviewed. And, a new subtype of depression is so called SeCA depression that is a stressor-precipitated, cortisol-induced, serotonin-related, anxiety/aggression-driven depression. SeCA depression is discussed. But, there is with the idea that depressive disorders constitute discrete subtypes marked by relatively discontinuous boundaries. This subtypes of depressive disorder were reviewed from a variety of theoretical frames of reference. The following issues are discussed ; Dexamethasone suppression test(DST), TRH stimulation test, MHPG, Temperament Character Inventory(TCI), and heart rate variability(HRV).
Purpose The physiological and biochemical responses of healthy men and women to life stress were measured in order to investigate the correlation between these two responses under the normal situation. Materials and Methods The population of the research is some randomly chosen health college students located in Daejeon City during the period from August to September 2014, and the sample of 94 students. Heart rate variability (HRV), blood pressure (BP) were selected as physiological stress indices and serum cortisol level was used as a biochemical stress biomaker. The data which is collected used SPSS19.0 programs and frequency and percentage and T-test, correlation. Results Male showed the significant higher value of serum cortisol level (p<0.05), BP (p<0.05), and LF/HF ratio of HRV (p<0.05) than female. The difference of BP between correlated significantly with serum cortisol level (p<0.05). The LF/HF ratio of HRV also correlated significantly with serum cortisol level (p<0.05) Conclusion We suggest that LF/HF ratio of HRV and BP may be good indices for the assessment of life stress.
