최적화 기법을 이용한 부유식 해양 플랜트 상부 구조의 다층 배치 모델 (Multi-floor Layout Model for Topsides of Floating Offshore Plant using the Optimization Technique)

  • For a floating offshore plant such as FPSO(Floating, Production, Storage, and Off-loading unit), various equipment should be installed in the restricted space, as compared with an onshore plant. The requirement for an optimal layout method of the plant has been increased in these days. Thus, a layout method of the floating offshore plant was proposed in this study. For this, an optimization problem for layout design was mathematically formulated, and then an optimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm was implemented with C++ language in order to solve it. Finally, the proposed method was applied to an example of FPSO topsides. As a result, it was shown that the proposed method can be applied to layout design of the floating offshore plant such as FPSO.

  • 해양구조물에 전기 안전사고가 급증하면서 전력시스템 고조파 분야가 최근 많은 관심 받고 있다. 이것은 주로 비선형 (또는 고조파 생성) 부하가 일반적인 산업플랜트 전력시스템에서 계속 증가되고 있기 때문이다. 해양플랜트에서는 전력시스템의 안전설계로 인하여 고조파 문제의 발생률은 낮지만, 고조파 문제에 대한 인식은 전력시스템 설계의 신뢰성을 향상시키는데 여전히 도움이 될 수 있다. 전력시스템에 고조파 문제가 드물게 발생되는 경우, 이는 생성된 고조파의 크기 혹은 전력시스템의 공진 때문이다. 이 고조파 비교분석에 관한 연구는 전력부하를 고려한 부유식 액화천연가스 생산 저장 하역 (FLNG) 설비의 하역 운전 시나리오에 대한 전기적인 구성으로 비교분석하였다. 전기적인 네트워크 구성은 전기적인 네트워크 부하 흐름에서 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 해양플랜트 전력시스템의 안전을 보장하기 위해 전기 모터 시스템의 고조파 효율에 초점을 맞추어 전력시스템 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다. 또한, 본 연구의 설계분야에서도 운전 및 유지 보수의 향상시키기 위해 FLNG 설비의 전력시스템을 분석하였다.

ERD를 응용한 FPSO선 크레인의 기초 설계 과정의 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis Method of the Basic Design Process of a FPSO Crane using ERD)

  • In this paper, as a previous step of software development, through an analysis step in the basic design process of the FPSO crane, ERD, which could help develop common understanding between its developer and the user, was introduced. From the flowchart of the design process, the overall work flow in its development was understood. Then, after the design process of the crane was divided into many entities, the attributes of each entity were defined and the relationships between the entities were established, followed by ERD creation through the use of IDEF1X notation. The results of the analysis can be readily understood even by users who lack of software knowledge, and then their change requirements can be immediately reflected in the developed system that requires modification.

  • Offshore Bridge Crane and Hoist which are used FPSO Ships that can move through self - power and have oil production, store and loading and unloading facilities are increasing demand. These equipments must use Crane safely by pitch and rolling of the high wave. For this, they have to be equipped with high durability and safety. So the advanced shipbuilding industries use a private design system which can be prompt in design and analyze in the first stage. For this study, It was developed a basic design system for "Bridge Crane and Hoist" used on FPSO ships. By developing this automated system for "Bridge Crane and Hoist" design, we will be able to make the design data easy to understand. This basic design system will help reduce the amount of working time it takes to design new systems, construct design databases and get approval for the finished design.

다점계류식 FPSO의 해양환경별 계류선 각도와 최대 장력에 대한 연구 (Mooring Layout Angle and Maximum Tension for Spread Moored FPSOs in Various Metocean Conditions)

  • This study demonstrates the result of mooring analysis for five spread-moored FPSOs having different length-to-breadth (L/B) ratios from 4.5–6.5. FPSOs are subjected to four metocean conditions, ones from the Gulf of Mexico (Hurricane/Loop current condition), West Africa, Nigeria, and Brazil Campos Basin, which are amongst the most typical offshore oil and gas fields. With change in design parameters of OBA (Outer bundle angle) and IBA (Inner bundle angle) combinations, a change in the line tension is demonstrated and the OBA-IBA combinations having the smallest line tension are presented for each L/B ratio and sea, respectively. This study is expected to influence the preliminary design layout of an FPSO spread-mooring system as a function of the L/B ratio and metocean conditions.

플레어 각도에 따른 청수현상의 발생과정 및 갑판 위 유동특성 변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Variations in Behavior of Green Water and Flow Kinematics on Deck with Various Flare Angles)

  • In this study, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the variations in the behavior of green water generation and the flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck with various flare angles. The experiments were conducted in a 2-D wave flume using a simplified model of a BW Pioneer FPSO operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with a 100-year return period wave condition. The green water phenomena were captured with a high speed CCD camera. The variations in the behavior of the green water generation were investigated with various flare angles, and the horizontal mean velocity profiles of bubbly flow on deck obtained using bubble image velocimetry (BIV) were provided. The differences in flow kinematics of bubbly flow on deck were analyzed with various flare angles.

규칙파 중 갑판침입수 충격하중 감소를 위한 선수형상 설계 (Design of Bow Shape to Decrease Green Water Impact Loading in Regular Waves)

  • In this research, the relationship between the bow shape and green water phenomenon on the bow deck of an FPSO was studied using an experimental method. A 140,000 DWT FPSO was used as the objective hull form in the present research. The incident waves were regular types. The heights were 1.0 and 1.5 times the freeboard, and the length was equal in size to LBP. The wave heights and pressures on the deck were measured in experiments. Model tests were performed to determine the effects of bow flare angles, bow shapes, and a forecastle deck. The free heave and pitch conditions were applied to the models in these experiments. From the results of the model tests, an optimized bow shape was designed, which was found to decrease the green water impact loading. The results of this research could be used as fundamental data in the design of a bow shape.
