To investigate patterns and severity of hunting-related emergency traumatic injuries in wild boar hunting dogs. One hundred wild boar hunting dogs with emergency traumatic injuries sustained during wild boar hunting as a result of wild boar attack and accidental shooting of ensnarement in a trap. The retrospective study involved 100 dogs brought to CAMC for treatment of emergency traumatic injury sustained during wild boar hunting in Jeon-buk province from August 2007 to April 2008. Medical information obtained from the medical records included signalment; cause of injury; number, location and severity of injuries; and mortality. The 100 patients displayed 136 injuries (single injury in 71 dogs and multiple injuries in 29 dogs). Causes of the emergency traumatic injuries were wild boar attack (n = 92), accidental shooting (n = 7), and entrapment (n = 1). The thoracic area was the most common site of injury. The most common injury severity score (ISS) was code 2. The mortality rate was 9%, and all deaths involved thoracic injury. Emergency traumatic injuries sustained during wild boar hunting are most commonly thoracic injuries caused by prey attack. The nature of the injuries can differ from those typically encountered by small animal veterinarians.

Yuso is the term for decorative tassels of a braided string which hangs a scroll painting. This study, drawing on extant research concerning the yuso made for Joseon period portrait scrolls of kings and meritorious retainers, focuses on the yuso created to hang literati portraits. Concretely, It examines yuso of seven portraits in the collection of the National Museum of Korea in order to characterize their appearance and determine their material composition. The study found that most of the yuso are sixteen-strand strings braided into a rounded cross-section(dongdahoe). The seven yuso, of which six are red and one indigo-blue, reflect the popular style associated with Joseon period literati portraits. The yuso for the portrait of Yun Geup(duksu 3503) is made from gilded paper. Analysis showed Fe particles present in a red pigment underlying the gold layer, suggesting the presence of red ochre(seokganju), an iron oxide mineral. The yuso of the portrait of Shin Im(duksu 4846) is used a paper which contains gold as well as traces of Pb, Hg and Ag. The paper in the yuso for the portrait of Yi Seongwon(bongwan 10122) mainly consisted of Ag, indicating silver paper having been used in its fabrication. The inner paper in the yuso of the portrait of Yi Seogu(sinsu 1065) is a leather combined with Ag, Fe, and Br, according to chemical analysis. The FTIR of the leather sample reveals that the spectrum in the fingerprint region is nearly identical to that of sheepskin, indicating the yuso was made from gold-coated sheepskin.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of a HAPS(High Altitude Platform Station) system which is expected to be a next generation communication system and suggest several error correcting codes to provide high quality services. Since a HAPS system encounters serious signal attenuation due to rain and scattering in the air, concatenated codes which have a high coding gain is considered to be a proper error correcting method. In this paper, we provide performance analyses result of two candidate coding schemes for a HAPS. The first one is a conventional concatenated coding scheme, and the second one is a iterative decoding method known as Turbo Codes.

편리한 사용 방법과 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스를 지원하는 웹은 현 인터넷 환경에서 이종 컴퓨터간의 주요한 정보 전달 수단으로 자리잡았다. 그러나 웹이 사용하고 있는 통신 프로토콜 스택만으로는 부상하고 있는 정보 형태인 실시간 멀티미디어 데이터의 서비스를 적절히 지원할수 없었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 실시간 전송 프로토콜인 RTP/RTCP를 웹 통신 프로토콜 스택에 추가하여 실시간 멀티미디어 세션의 서비스를 지원할수 잇도록 그 기능이 확장된 웹 시스템의 구현을 소개한다. 이는 MBone을 통해 실시간으로 멀티캐스트되고 있는 멀티캐스트 되고 있는 멀티미디어 세션의 서비스를 웹에서 지원할수 있도록 한 것으로, 기존의 MBone응용들을 수용한 형태를 가진다. 이를 위하여, MBone상에서 개설된 세션 정보를 수집하여 이를 관리하고 그 정보들을 웹 문서로 제공하는 프로그램인 '웹 SDR'과 MBone을 통해 멀티캐스트되는 실시간 멀티미디어 세션을 웹상에서 시청할수 있도록 웹 브라우저의 기능을 확장한 Windows 95 플랫폼 기반의 '실시간 멀티미디어 웹 플러그인'을 구현하였다 그리고 , 본 연구에서 개발한 수신 위주의 웹 시스템의 서비스 품질을 개선하기 위하여 현 인터넷 환경을 고려한 서비스 품질 제어 기법인 '관측 기반의 수신단 QoS 제어 알고리즘'을 제안하고, 이를 적용하여 실시간세션 서비스 품질이 개선됨을 보였다.

최근 인터넷 서비스는 최선형 서비스 제공 위주에서 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스들의 QoS 보장을 함께 지원하는 차등화된 서비스 형태로 발전하고 있다. 또한, 기존의 SONET/SDH 전송망에서 다중 기가비트 파장을 제공하는 WDM 기술이 차세대 인터넷의 중심 기술로 부상하고 있다. WDM 백본망은 Ingress와 Egress 쌍 간에 여러 lightpath를 제공하므로 각각의 광 품질에 따라 각기 다른 광 경로를 설정하여 차등화된 광 서비스를 제공할 수 있으나, 현재의 WDM 백본망은 종단간 QoS 서비스 보장을 위한 어떠한 지원도 제공하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스들을 IP over WDM 백본망에 적용하기 위해, 파장을 레이블로 사용하여 QoS 제공 기능과 트래픽 분산 기능을 용이하게 수행하는 GMPLS 기술을 차등화 서비스 기술과 같이 접목하여 새로운 형태의 차등화된 광 QoS 서비스(DOS) 제공 방안을 기술 한다.

Growth, content and partition of mineral nutrient of Panax ginseng (3 years old) were investigated with four levels of nitrogen source (ammonium sulfate, urea and calcium nitrate) under sand culture for one year. Growth of top and root was greatest at 50 ppm in all sources. Nitrate showed the greatest root weight and urea did the greatest top weight. Leaf width was large in without-nitrogen plot. The ratio of length to diameter (L/D) of stem was smaller with ammonium than with nitrate. Negative correlation was found between L/D of stem and that of tap root. Nitrogen application increased phosphorus content in leaf and stem but decreased calcium. Partition of P into leaf was smaller in 50 ppm than in without-nitrogen plot in all sources. While that of Mg, Ca and N was greater.

Platform finance is emerging as an alternative finance for SMEs by suggesting a new funding source based on a new technology named FinTech. The essence of this business is the adapting ICT challenges to the financial industry that can adequately reflect risk assessment using Big Data and effectively meet individual risk-return preference. Thus, this is evolving as an alternative to existing finance in the form of P2P loans for Micro Enterprises and supply-chain finance for SMEs that need more working capital. Platform finance in Korea, however, is still at an infant stage and requires policy support. This can be summarized as follows: "Participation of institutional investors and the public sector," meaning that public investors provide seed money for the private investors to crowd in for platform finance. "Negative system in financial regulations," with current regulations to be deferred for new projects, such as Sandbox in the UK. In addition, "Environment for generous use of data," allowing discretionary data sharing for new products," and "Spreading alternative investments," fostering platform finance products as alternative investments in the low interest-rate era.

The double split tee connection, a type of beam-to-column moment connection, exhibits different behavioral characteristics according to changes in the thickness of the T-stub flange, the gauge distance of the high-strength bolt, and the number and diameter of high-strength bolts. In general, the double split tee connection is idealized and designed so that a T-stub fastened to the top and bottom supports a flexural moment, and a shear tab supports a shear force. However, if the double split tee connection is applied to low-and medium-rise steel structures, the size of the beam member becomes small, and thus the shear tab cannot be bolted to the web of a beam. In this regard, this study was conducted to propose connection details to ensure that the double split tee connection with a geometric shape can display sufficient shear resisting capacity. To this end, experiments were conducted using full-scale specimens for the double split tee connection.

In this paper, we propose an unambiguous correlation function to improve tracking performance for binary offset carrier (BOC) signals. Specifically, we divide a BOC sub-carrier into multiple rectangular pulses, and analyze that the BOC autocorrelation function is made up of the sum of several partial correlation functions. Then, we obtain two sub-correlation functions by combining two partial correlation functions and propose a novel unambiguous correlation function with no side-peak which can be regulated its width based on the combination of the sub-correlation functions and partial correlation functions. From numerical results, it is confirmed that the proposed correlation function provides a tracking performance improvement over the conventional correlation functions in terms of the tracking error standard deviation.
