  • This paper proposes a methodology to solve problems upon the circuit design applied to inductor load by applying a circuit to improve power factor with is partial switching PFC module to the power supply system for cooling/heating inverter air conditioner and by designing an input power section in compliance with IEC555-2 on the basis of better input power factor and minimized harmonic components of current. On the other hand, this paper suggested how to control the increase of output voltage along with tぉw current waves and partial switching PFC circuit as well, which can provide the output as twice as input voltage This study applied a method to control the compressors of air conditioner by means of increased the voltage applicable to compressor motor by lowering switching number conclusively, it could solve questions about efficiency, economics, electronic noise and so forth. and so that the reasonable voltage for running moor could be set up along with lower power consumption of air conditioner than estimated It was demonstrated that total sum of energy efficiency to operate system was increased to the extent of valid level. And all this merits and appropriateness was proved by computer simulation and experience.

Theoretical Study on Optimal Conditions for Absorbent Regeneration in CO2 Absorption Process (이산화탄소 흡수 공정에서 흡수액 최적 재생 조건에 대한 이론적 고찰)

  • The considerable portion of energy demand has been satisfied by the combustion of fossil fuel and the consequent $CO_2$ emission was considered as a main cause of global warming. As a technology option for $CO_2$ emission mitigation, absorption process has been used in $CO_2$ capture from large scale emission sources. To set up optimal operating parameters in $CO_2$ absorption and solvent regeneration units are important for the better performance of the whole $CO_2$ absorption plant. Optimal operating parameters are usually selected through a lot of actual operation data. However theoretical approach are also useful because the arbitrary change of process parameters often limited for the stability of process operation. In this paper, a theoretical approach based on vapor-liquid equilibrium was proposed to estimate optimal operating conditions of $CO_2$ absorption process. Two $CO_2$ absorption processes using 12 wt% aqueous $NH_3$ solution and 20 wt% aqueous MEA solution were investigated in this theoretical estimation of optimal operating conditions. The results showed that $CO_2$ loading of rich absorbent should be kept below 0.4 in case of 12 wt% aqueous $NH_3$ solution for $CO_2$ absorption but there was no limitation of $CO_2$ loading in case of 20 wt% aqueous MEA solution for $CO_2$ absorption. The optimal regeneration temperature was determined by theoretical approach based on $CO_2$ loadings of rich and lean absorbent, which determined to satisfy the amount of absorbed $CO_2$. The amount of heating medium at optimal regeneration temperature is also determined to meet the difference of $CO_2$ loading between rich and lean absorbent. It could be confirmed that the theoretical approach, which accurately estimate the optimal regeneration conditions of lab scale $CO_2$ absorption using 12 wt% aqueous $NH_3$ solution could estimate those of 20 wt% aqueous MEA solution and could be used for the design and operation of $CO_2$ absorption process using chemical absorbent.

  • This paper presents modelling and analyzing method of centrifugal chiller which has a rated capacity of 200 RT(703 kW) through on-site performance test. Field performance data of a chiller installed in a research building of KIST have been collected. Simple models were developed for predicting the heat exchanger and system performances by regression of chiller operation data during 5 days in August. The models proposed here account for the effect of variations of cooling capacity, temperatures and flew rates of secondary fluids. The proposed models can predict the actual performance data from June to September within $\pm$ 5% error. The COP of centrifugal chiller are estimated under the standard rating conditions and reduced mass flow rates of chilled and cooling water.

  • The interest in renewable energy-based distributed power generation systems is increasing due to the recognitions of the breakthrough of existing centralized power generation, energy conversion, and environmental problems. In this study, the optimal capacity was selected by simulating a distributed power generation system based on PV and WT using lead acid batteries as the energy storage system. CHP was adopted as the existing power source, and the optimal capacity of the system was derived through MOGA according to the operating modes(full load/part load) of the existing power source. In addition, it was confirmed that the battery life differs when the battery charging method is changed at the same battery capacity. Therefore, for economical and stable power supply and demand, the capacity selection of the distributed generation system considering the battery charging method should be performed.

  • 수소의 소규모 분산 생산 기술은 본격 적 인 수소 인프라가 도입되기 전에 연료전지 자동차의 수소 충전용이나 분산 발전형 연료전지의 수소 공급을 위해 필요하다. 생산 용량은 수소 기준으로 $20{\sim}100 Nm^3/hr$ 정도로 현재로선 천연가스의 수증기 개 질법이 가장 경제적인 공정으로 알려져 있다. 소규모 생산에 따른 열효율 저하를 줄이 기 위해 단위 공정들이 통합된 컴팩트 개질 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 연료전지 자동차용 수소 인프라 조기 구축을 위하여 수소충전소 구축과 국산화 천연가스 수증기 개질기 개발을 병행하여 진행하였다. 수소 충전소 구축 부분은 충전소 부지 확보, 건물 건축, 각종 유틸리 티 설치의 토목 부분과 천연가스 개질형 수소 제조 유닛 설치, 수소 압축, 저장, 디스펜싱 시스템 설치를 포함하고 있으며 고압 설비에 대한 인허가 대응 및 안전대책 작업도 진행하였다. 구축된 수소충전소는 향후 연료전지 자동차 연계 실증 프로그램에 활용할 수 있다. 국산화 핵심 기술 개발을 위하여 열 및 시스템 통합 설계에 의 해 천연가스 수증기 개질기를 제작하고 내부 열교환 구조에 따른 개질기의 성능을 평가하였다. 개발된 개질기는 개질온도 $720^{\circ}C$, 수증기 대 카본 비 2.7의 운전조건에서 $23Nm^3/h$ 이상의 수소 생산이 가능하였으며 73% 이상의 개질 효율을 나타내었다. 개발된 천연가스 수증기 개질기는 향후 수소 정제용 PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption) 시스템과 연계하여 수소충전소 국산화 엔지니어링 설계 패키지 개발의 핵심 기 술로 사용할 계획이다.시간 정도 운전한 후 시스템을 정지하였다 메탄 전환율과 일산화 탄소 농도, 열효율을 모니터링 하고 있으며, 현재까지 초기 성능을 그대로 유지하고 있다. 앞으로 일일시동-정지 운전 시험을 지속하면서 초기 시동 특성 및 부하 변동에 따른 응답 특성 개선, 그리고 연료전지와의 연계 운전을 실시할 예정이다 한다. 단위 전지 운전 온도 $130^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 37%의 운전 조건에서도 상당히 우수한 전지 성능을 보임에 따라 고온/저가습 조건에서 상용 Nafion 112 막보다 우수한 막 특성을 나타냄을 확인하였다.소/배후방사능비는 각각 $2.18{\pm}0.03,\;2.56{\pm}0.11,\;3.08{\pm}0.18,\;3.77{\pm}0.17,\;4.70{\pm}0.45$ 그리고 $5.59{\pm}0.40$이었고, $^{67}Ga$-citrate의 경우 2시간, 24시간, 48시간에 $3.06{\pm}0.84,\;4.12{\pm}0.54\;4.55{\pm}0.74 $이었다. 결론 : Transferrin에 $^{99m}Tc$을 이용한 방사성표지가 성공적으로 이루어졌고, $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin의 표지효율은 8시간까지 95% 이상의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{

  • The automatic hot gas by-pass technique is applied to control the capacity of refrigeration and air-conditioning system when operating at part load. In the scheme, the hot gas from the compressor is extracted and injected into the outlet of an evaporator through a hot gas by-pass valve. Thus, In this paper, the hot gas by-pass scheme for CO2 is discussed and analyzed on the basis of mass and energy conservation law. A comparative study of the schemes is performed in terms of the coefficiency of performance (COP) and cooling capacity. The operating parameters considered in this study include compressor efficiency, superheating degree, outlet temperature of gas cooler and evaporating temperature in the R744 vapor compression cycle. The main results were summarized as follows : the superheating degree, outlet temperature and evaporating temperature of R744 vapor compression refrigeration system have an effect on the cooling capacity and COP of this system. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the compression refrigeration cycle using R744.

A Study on the Performance Improvement for The Coal Filing Power Station (엑서지분석을 통한 대용량 석탄화력 발전소의 성능개선 연구)

  • In this study, the exergy analysis is conducted on the well known performance of already developed system and then compared with the efficiency of each equipment to propose optimum operation of the system. The system used in this study is 500 MW coal firing power plant. The efficiency of the boiler is 67% and the condenser is 99% by exergy analysis. The exergy consumption of the boiler was 32.95% at 100% load. The exergy consumption of the high pressure turbine and the low pressure turbine is 8.31% and 8.12%, respectively. Together with the concrete study on the object of performance revision of the low efficient development system proved in this study, if detailed exergy analysis on the operation condition of the equipments of the development system presently being operated is continued, then it is expected to help minimize the exergy consumption of relatively low efficient parts that are worn-out or miss-installed.

한외여과(UF)막을 이용한 상수처리 공정의 확립 및 최적화

  • 기존의 정수처리 공정은 응집-침전-급속여과처리를 주로 사용하면서 생물 활성탄처리-오존처리 등을 거치는 공정으로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 응집제의 투여시 최적 응집제량, 최적 응집제 투여위치, 교반시간, pH 조절 등 번거러운 test가 선행 되어야 하며 처리수에 남아있는 응집제에 의해 2차 오염을 일으켜 침전조의 부지 면적에 따른 대형화등을 초래할 단점이 있다. 따라서 최근에는 이러한 단점을 보완하고 장치의 간소함, 높은 효율의 유지에 따른 후처리 공정의 부하감소 및 운전 조건 인자등의 감소라는 경제적 효과를 기대할 수 있는 막분리공정이 도입되었다. 그러나 분리막 처리공정의 경우 원수에 다량 포함되어 있는 콜로이드 입자들에 의한 flux의 감소 및 fouling 현상으로 인한 막의 수명감소, 처리수량의 감소 및 최적 설계 및 운전 방법등의 새로운 공정에 대한 많은 자료의 확보가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존의 정수처리 공정에 있어서 전처리 부분에 해당하는 응집-침전-급속여과처리 공정을 분리막 공정으로 대체 하였을 때 분리막의 재질 및 module의 차이에 따른 처리 능력을 비교하고 각 단위 공정들에 의한 flux 변화, 각 공정별 수질분석, 회복율, 회수율 등을 검토하여 최적 조건의 공정을 확립하여 후처리 공정의 효율을 극대화 하는데 있다.

A Study of the Operation Characteristics of the Resonant Dual Converters (공진형 듀얼컨버터의 동작특성에 관한 고찰)

  • Resonant dual converters are remarkable as circuit topologies that can realize a power conversion on the high switching frequency with low switching loss. In this paper, bi-directional resonant power conversion system is established, which makes the powering and the regeneration possible, by loading an induction motor. For its practical use, the operation characteristics of the system are to be examined through a series of experiments. The characteristics are : (l)input/output, (2)resonants. (3)tum-off and zero voltage in the main devices and clamp device. By examining the measured waveforms, this study will investigate some problems in the system, and also give some suggestions for a further study.

  • The common rail diesel engine used in this study is a remanufactured waste engine. The fuel injection timing of the waste engine is set to be suitable for the operating conditions of the vehicle. However, the engine of a generator is operated at a constant speed and mainly at partial load. Therefore, it is necessary to change the fuel injection timing suitable for the power generation engine, and the cost and the time required for such change must be minimized as much as possible. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the fuel efficiency improves according to the fuel injection timing suitable for the engine for the generator, thereby increasing the performance and fuel efficiency.
