Evaluation of Microbiological Safety of Food Service Environment in Child Care Centers (어린이집 급식환경의 미생물학적 안전성 평가)

  • This study investigated microbiological safety of employees' hands, dining tables, and indoor air in cooking areas and lunchrooms in child care centers. Microbiological tests were performed according to the Korea Food Code. Total numbers of aerobic bacteria and coliform bacteria were measured as 5.8±1.9 log CFU/hand and 4.0±2.4 log CFU/hand on employees' hands, and 4.3±3.0 log CFU/100 ㎠ and 2.6±3.3 log CFU/100 ㎠ on dining tables. Bacillus cereus were detected in two cases each of employees' hands and dining tables, respectively. The analysis of microbiological contamination of indoor air in chid care centers showed that the total numbers of aerobic bacteria and coliform bacterial were 28±7.2 CFU/plate and 3.1±2.9 CFU/plate, respectively. Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus were counted as 1.7±0.2 CFU/plate and 1.6±0.5 CFU/plate from the indoor air in child cate centers. These results indicate that indoor-air in child care centers is considered more safe compared to previous reports. In conclusion, it is necessary to carry out hygienic management using alcohol-based disinfectants before meals to remove microorganism contamination on dining tables and hands. In order to reduce microbial contamination in indoor air, it is also deemed necessary to freshen the sanitary caps, masks, and clothing of the catering staff with periodic ventilation of indoor air.

A routing Algorithm by Broadcasting a Bitmap in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서의 비트맵 브로드캐스팅 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • Current routing in sensor networks focuses on finding methods for energy-efficient route setup and reliable relaying of data from the sensors to the sink so that the lifetime of the network is maximized. The existing routing protocols do not have routing tables to determine a path when packets are transferred. A sensor network by a routing table increases a cost of maintaining and updating a path, because sensor nodes have characteristics to be mobile and constrained capacity and resources. This paper proposes a new routing algorithm by broadcasting a bitmap in order to reduce the number of messages transferred when routing paths are established. Each node has a routing table with a bitmap, which contains link information. A bitmap is formed two-dimensional array, which consists of each row and column represented with a bit. The node only updates its own bitmap if it receives a bitmap from another adjacent nodes after the broadcasting. There by, each node has a bitmap with partial links information not total links information on the network. The proposed routing algorithm reduces the number of messages for routing establishment at least 10% compared with the previous algorithms.

The Importance and Performance Analysis of Service Encounter Quality by Types of Restaurants (레스토랑 유형별 서비스 인카운터 품질의 중요도 및 수행도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify critical control points of service encounter by types of restaurants in order to manage moment of truth when customers encounter services. Questionnaires were collected from 812 customers (aged 15 years or older) who had used restaurants in Seoul, from October 24, 2005 to November 6, 2005. The main results of this study were as follows: Statistically significant differences were shown between importance and performance of interaction quality, physical environment quality and outcome quality. Significant differences were also shown in importance and performance of interaction and physical environment quality, and performance of outcome quality by restaurant types but no significant difference was indicated in importance of outcome quality by restaurant types. That is, the importance of outcome quality, which means the quality of food, was regarded as important by customers who use restaurants regardless of types of restaurants. The result of examining interaction quality showed that family restaurants managed waiting customers quite well and provided information on the Internet homepage. Performance of responding to customers with complaints was rated the highest in family restaurants. Regarding physical environment quality, importance and performance scores significantly differed by types of restaurants in order of fine-dining restaurants, family restaurants, and fast-food restaurants. In terms of service encounter quality, items whose importance scores were high but performance scores were low in importance-performance analysis matrix were 'quality of provided food is always uniform' and 'the space between other tables is enough' for fine-dining restaurants. In family restaurants, 'size of chairs or tables is enough', and 'the space between other tables is enough' were included in the items, while 'interior facilities are attractive', 'size of chairs and tables is enough', and 'the space between other tables is enough' were included in the items in case of fast-food restaurants. A difference was indicated depending on types of restaurants.

Position Tracking Control on the XY Ball-screw Drive System with the Nonlinear Dynamic Friction (비선형 동적마찰을 갖는 XY볼-스크류 구동계에 대한 위치 추종제어)

  • A tracking control scheme on the XY ball-screw drive system in the presence of nonlinear dynamic friction is proposed. A nonlinear dynamic friction is regarded as the Lund-Grenoble friction model to compensate effects of friction. The conventional VSC method that often has been used as a non-model-based friction controller has poor tracking performance in high-precision position tracking application since it cannot compensate the friction effect below a certain precision level completely. Thus to improve the precise position tracking performance, we propose the integral type VSC method combined with the friction-model-based observer. Then this control scheme has the high precise tracking performance compared with the non-model-baked VSC method and the PID control method with a similar observer. This fact is shown through the experiment on the XY ball-screw drive system with the nonlinear dynamic friction.

Library's Space Organization Improvement Based on Patrons' Behavioral Research: At Gwacheon Public Library in Korea and Kyushu University Library in Japan (이용자 행동조사에 근거한 도서관 공간 재구성방향 연구: 과천정보과학도서관과 일본규슈대학부속도서관을 중심으로)

  • It is very important for libraries to provide their patrons with spaces that are used comfortably. In this paper, first we propose some improvement plans for space organizations of Gwacheon Public Library based on its patrons' behavioral research. It has a big meaning from the view of library marketing, which aims at improving patrons' satisfaction. Then we investigate how study tables are used based on the data taken at Kyushu University Library in Japan. Finally we put some proposals on libraries' space organization based on these investigations.

  • Monad in Haskell allows one to do imperative-style programming as well as pure functional programming. In this work, we characterize monadic abstraction and its programming technique by restructuring an assembly language interpreter coded in pure functional style into the one by the monadic style. Monad programming consists of two phases; the State monad is applied to a stack and a symbol table, and then a State Monad Transformer integrating these two monads is constructed. As a result, we can see that the program code by monad programming is much clearer and more intuitive than one written in the pure functional style.

The Impact of Wage Scheme and Transparency of Performance Evaluation on the Productivity (기업의 보상체계와 업무평가 투명성의 생산성 효과)

  • This paper analyses an impact of wage scheme and transparency of performance evaluation on the productivity. The main findings in this paper are as follows: First, the effect of wage scheme based on seniority system on the productivity is worse off than the performance pay. Second, there is a positive relationship between an incentive and the productivity, but, in the case of firms which individually informs the results of performance evaluation to their workers, it shows the hump-shaped relationship. Third, though the wage scheme is based on the performance, if the evaluation system is not transparent, the impact of incentive on the productivity is disappeared. Consequently, this paper implies that the appropriate incentive and the transparent performance evaluation system are required so as to improve the productivity.

  • A Siemens HD-270 MLC$^{TM}$, a virtual-micro MLC, allows to the application of a smooth field edge method due to the finite leaf-width of MLC. This technique was implemented into a Pinnacle planning system in order to evaluate the dose distributions during the planning stage. The necessary dosimetric aspects, such as undulation and effective penumbra, were investigated with variations in the resolutions of a virtual-micro MLC and field edge angle. The positional accuracy of the couch movement was also assessed for clinical implementation. The overhead time for planning and treatment was confirmed as negligible.e.

  • This paper was proposed drive strategy Induction Motor using the fuzzy algorithm of auto-tuning PID control. In fuzzy control, the 1M driving system is controlled in trial and error without the mathematical modeling and using fuzzy lookup table the real time control is possible. Also, ,dividing the fuzzy rules in several zone, the stability and response of the 1M driving system is improved. The parameters of 1M are varying according to the environmental conditions, the variance of the parameters is affected with the driving characteristics of 1M. Using the fuzzy algorithm of the driving system which has the auto tuning control function for high performance, high accuracy of the driving system, a designed and proposed through the comparision with the PID control method and the driving characteristics is reviewed and analyzed.

  • A Mobile Radio Wave Measurement System (MRWMS)is a vehicle-mounted system designed to be operating in a single mission. The mission characteristic for mobile measurement requires mobility. For this, we must consider the arrangement and embedded method of MRWMS's antennas. In this paper, we described the measurement method design of direction detecting accuracy for MRWMS and designed the direction finding antenna mast capable of rotating itself by using a slip ring without turntable for Direction Finding (DF) accuracy test. As we removed the dependency of a limited local area by designing a measurement method of direction detecting accuracy, Equipment Under Test (EUT) zero-Adjustment and mounted process shortened. So, we the reduced production costs. We expect an improved cable loss value by shortening the RF cable length in accordance with our design. In addition, due to the same phenomenon, the entire system is lighter and the mobility is improved.
