HU Threshold Value for IV Catheter Fragment in Peripheral Vein of Volume Rendering 3D MDCT Imaging (정맥 내의 IV 카테터 조각을 3D MDCT 볼륨렌더링 영상으로 구현하기 위한 HU 임계치)

  • To evaluate the HU value of the IV catheter fragment of CT on the accuracy and size in the peripheral vein. Pilot study of profile and table functions on PC by software was calculated of HU value of IV catheter fragment. This study demonstrates the utility of volume rendering technique to localize a small, subtle IV catheter, which can easily be reformatted of MDCT reformations. IV catheter fragment optimal image described as threshold range. Volume rendering of HU using a MDCT is an excellent method for evaluation the IV catheter fragment in three dimension.

A 3D Memory System Allowing Multi-Access (다중접근을 허용하는 3차원 메모리 시스템)

  • In this paper a 3D memory system that allows 17 access types at an arbitrary position is introduced. The proposed memory system is based on two main functions: memory module assignment function and address assignment function. Based on them, the memory system supports 17 access types: 13 Lines, 3 Rectangles, and 1 Hexahedron. That is, the memory system allows simultaneous access to multiple data in any access types at an arbitrary position with a constant interval. In order to allow 17 access types the memory system consists of memory module selection circuitry, data routing circuitry for READ/WRITE, and address calculation/routing circuitry In the point of view of a developer and a programmer, the memory system proposed in this paper supports easy hardware extension according to the applications and both of them to deal with it as a logical three-dimensional away In addition, multiple data in various across types can be simultaneously accessed with a constant interval. Therefore, the memory system is suitable for building systems related to ,3D applications (e.g. volume rendering and volume clipping) and a frame buffer for multi-resolution.

  • It is known that it is expedient to represent the distribution of the properties of a bone with complex heterogeneity as B-spline volume functions. For B-spline-based representation, the pixel values of CT images are interpolated by B-spline volume functions. However, the CT images of a bone are three-dimensional and very large, and hence a large amount of memory and long computation time for the interpolation are required. In this study, a method for resolving these problems is proposed. In the proposed method, the B-spline volume interpolation problem is simplified by using the uniformity of pixel spacing of the image and the properties of B-spline basis functions. This results in a reduction in computation time and the amount of memory used. The proposed method was implemented and it was verified that the computation time and the amount of memory used were reduced.

  • 최근 단순한 데이터 공유만이 아니라 모든 자원(중앙 처리 장치, 메모리, 저장 장치, 네트워크)을 공유하는 그리드 컴퓨팅이 주목을 받고 있다. 현재 그리드 응용 시스템들은 대부분 Globus toolkit을 통해 프로세스를 생성 관리하고 있으며 MPICH-G2를 가지고 그 프로세스간의 통신을 하고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 요소를 가지고 볼륨 랜더링을 분산 처리하는 프로그램을 구현 분석함으로써 그리드 응용 프로그램 작성 시 성능향상을 위해 고려해야할 요소를 지적하고 대안을 이야기하고자 한다.

Performance Evaluation of Automatic Segmentation based on Deep Learning and Atlas according to CT Image Acquisition Conditions (CT 영상획득 조건에 따른 딥 러닝과 아틀라스 기반의 자동분할 성능 평가)

  • This study analyzed the volumes generated by deep learning and atlas-based automatic segmentation methods, as well as the Dice similarity coefficient and 95% Hausdorff distance, according to the conditions of conduction voltage and conduction current in computed tomography for lung radiotherapy. The first result, the volumes generated by the atlas-based smart segmentation method showed the smallest volume change as a function of the change in tube voltage and tube current, while Aview RT ACS and OncoStudio using deep learning showed smaller volumes at tube currents lower than 100 mA. The second result, the Dice similarity coefficient, showed that Aview RT ACS was 2% higher than OncoStuido, and the 95% Hausdorff distance results also showed that Aview RT ACS analyzed an average of 0.2-0.5% higher than OncoStudio. However, the standard deviation of the respective results for tube current and tube voltage is lower for OncoStudio, which suggests that the results are consistent across volume variations. Therefore, caution should be exercised when using deep learning-based automatic segmentation programs at low perfusion voltages and low perfusion currents in CT imaging conditions for lung radiotherapy, and similar results were obtained with conventional atlas-based automatic segmentation programs at certain perfusion voltages and perfusion currents.

  • Software metrics provide effective methods for characterizing software. Metrics have traditionally been composed through the definition of an equation, but this approach restricted within a full understanding of every interrelationships among the parameters. This paper use fuzzy logic system that is capable of uniformly approximating any nonlinear function and applying cognitive psychology theory. First of all, we extract multiple regression equation from the factors of 12 software complexity metrics collected from Java programs. We apply cognitive psychology theory in program volume factor, and then measure program volume complexity to execute fuzzy learning. This approach is sound, thus serving as the groundwork for further exploration into the analysis and design of software metrics.

  • Since the world wide web, simple and convenient tool, has proposed, the Internet became the most simple network resource which provide many informations of the world. Furthermore, various methodologies are developed to support the dynamic service such as 3D View web service. We will propose the volume rendering view program that interactively visualize the 3D data on the web. The 3D Data is obtained by stacking the 2D images along the z-direction. We also employ the COM based OCX control which is a kind of Active component. This web program will contribute the diagnosis of the diseases through the 3D visualization and image analysis functions at remote places.

  • 해마를 비롯하여, 뇌 기능과 밀접한 관련을 가지는 뇌 하위조직의 분석에 대한 최근 연구로 MR 영상 등의 해부학적 영상으로부터의 볼륨 추출, 형상 복원, 대칭성 비교 등을 들 수 있다. 이러한 연구들은 뇌의 해부학적 정보에만 의존함으로써 관심영역에 대한 신진대사 등의 분석에 한계를 가진다. 본 논문에서는 뇌 해마영역에 대하여 해부학적, 기능적 특성의 동시 분석이 가능한 프로시저를 제안한다. 먼저 해부학적 영상과 기능적 영상의 다중모달리티 영상정합을 수행하고 이를 기반으로 해마 SPECT 볼륨이 추출되며, 나아가 체적 측정 및 강도 분포 등의 정량분석을 수행함으로써 해부학적 영역의 기능정보에 대한 직관적이며 객관적인 분석이 가능하도록 하였다.

Development of Interactive 3D Volume Visualization Techniques Using Contour Trees (컨투어 트리를 이용한 삼차원 볼륨 영상의 대화형 시각화 기법 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of interactive visualization techniques and a program that allow us to visualize the structure of the volume data and interactively select and visualize the isosurface components using contour tree. The main characteristic of this technique is to provide an algorithm that draws the contour tree in 2D plane in a way that users easily understand the tree, and to provide an algorithm that can efficiently extract an isosurface component utilizing GPU's parallel architecture. The main characteristic of the program we developed through implementing the algorithms is to provide us with an interactive user interface based on the contour tree for extracting an isosurface component and visualization that integrates with previous isosurface and volume rendering techniques. To show the excelland vof our methods, we applied 3D biomedical volume data to our algorithms. The results show that we could interactively select the isosurface components that represent a polypeptide chain, a ventricle and a femur respectively using the user interface based on our contour tree layout method, and extract the isosurface components with 3x-4x higher speed compared to previous methods.

  • 본 논문은 VTK를 이용한 3차원 무릎 MRI 가시화에 대한 프로그램 기술을 제안한다. 기존의 많은 연구에서는 VTK를 사용하여 의료영상에 대한 3차원 가시화 프로그램을 제안하였으나 골관절염 진단을 목표로 한 무릎 3차원 가시화 방법은 아직 많이 제안되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 볼륨렌더링(Volume redering) 기술과 다각형렌더링(Polygonal rendering)기술을 융합하여 무릎 및 연골을 효과적으로 가시화 할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 프로그램은 사용자 상호작용이 가능하고 VTK를 이용한 GPU기반의 프로세싱을 기반으로 하기 때문에 실시간 렌더링이 가능하다. 실험결과로부터 제안한 3차원 가시화 기술은 연골과 무릎의 관계를 직관적으로 표현할 수 있어 골관절염 조기진단에 유용하게 사용될 것으로 기대한다.
