진공주조법에 의한 TiNi 형상기억합금 강화 6061Al 지적 복합재료의 계면 및 인장 특성 (Interfacial and Tensile Properties of TiNi Shape Memory Alloy reinforced 6061 Al Smart Composites by vacuum casting)

  • We investigated the change of mechanical properties for TiNi shape memory alloy by heat treatment. 6061Al matrix composites with TiNi shape memory alloy as reinforcement were fabricated by vacuum casting. TiNi alloy has the maximum tensile strength at 673K treated and there is no change of tensile strength and hardness at 448K treated. The composites, prepared by vacuum casting, showed good interface bonding by vacuum casting. It was about 3$\mu\textrm{m}$ of thickness of the diffusion layer. Tensile strength of the composite was in higher than that of 6061Al alloy as increased value of about 70MPa at room temperature and about 110MPa at 363K. We thought that the increase of the tensile strength at 363K was due to reverse transformation of the TiNi shape memory alloy.

  • A finite element model for the process of squeeze casting for metal matrix composites (MMCs) in cylindrical mold is developed. The fluid flow and the heat transfer are the fundamental phenomena in the squeeze casing process. To describe heat transfer with solidification of molten aluminum, the energy equation in terms of temperature and enthalpy are applied to two dimensional axisymmetric model which is similar to the experimental system. And one dimensional flow model is employed to simulate the transient metal flow. The direct iteration technique was used to solve the resulting nonlinear algebraic equations. A computer program is developed to calculate the enthalpy, temperature and fluid velocity. Cooling curves and temperature distribution during infiltration and solidification are calculated for pure aluminum. The temperature is measured and recorded experimentally. At two points of the perform inside and one point of the mold outside, thermocouple wire are installed. The time-temperature data are compared with the calculated cooling curves. The experimental results show that the finite element model can estimate the solidification time and predict the cooling process.

  • In this paper, study about property evaluation for the metal matrix composites fabricated by low pressure infiltration process. Aluminum alloy composite which is reinforced by Metal fiber preform was fabricated by low pressure casting process. Infiltration condition was changed the pressure infiltration time of 1 sec, 2 sec and 5 sec under a constant pressure of 0.4 MPa. The molten alloy completely infiltrated the FeCrSi metal perform regardless of the increase in the pressure acceleration time. The the porosity in the FeCrSi/AC8A composite was investigated. The porosity was reduced as the pressure acceleration time as shorter. The FeCrSi/AC8A composite was investigated the wear test for to know the relationship between Porosity and wear resistance. FeCrSi/AC8A composite at pressure acceleration time of 1sec is shown excellent wear resistance.

Friability 시험에 의한 둔감화약의 기계적 충격 감도 평가 연구 (A study on friability test to assess the mechanical impact sensitivity of insensitive explosives)

  • We recently developed a friability test procedure, which will be used as one of substance tests for Extremely Insensitive Detonating Substances(EIDSs) in Test Series 7 of the United Nations. This test was intended to assess the susceptibility of insensitive explosives to the break-up as high strain rate and subsequent ignition characteristics of the deformed material. We designed an air gun system using the hydro code simulation. The projectile velocities of the gun were in good agreement with those predicted by the hydro code with an inert material. Three different types of explosives, melt castable Comp B, castable plastic bonded explosives(PBXs), and pressable PBXs were tested during the development of the test procedure. Two tastable PBXs, i.e. DXD-09 and DXD-10, which are currently under development as candidate formulations of EIDS were classified as EIDS, since test results with these formulations were far better than the criterion of the UN Test Series 7.

LaxSryMnzO3 나노로드 성장 및 특성 분석 (Growth and characterization of LaxSryMnzO3 nanorod)

  • 기계적 강도가 우수한 부분안정화 지르코니아(3 mol% Yttria Partially Stabilized Zirconia) 세라믹스의 정전기 방지를 목적으로 LSM 복합 세라믹을 제조하는 과정에서 소결체 표면에서 란타늄산화물을 주조성으로 하는 나노로드의 성장을 확인하였다. 성장조건에 따라 나노로드의 직경 및 종횡비가 크게 변화하였으며, 광학현미경으로 관찰한 결과 입사광의 집속현상으로 밝게 빛나는 나노로드를 확인하였다. SEM 및 TEM으로 관찰한 결과, La를 주성분으로 하며 Sr, Mn 그리고 Si 등이 미량 첨가된 산화물임을 확인하였고, 이들의 외형으로부터 결정상이 잘 발달된 것을 확인하였다.

축척법에 의한 화약 폭풍과 분석 (Analysis of Blast Wave of Explosives by the Scaling Law)

  • To analyze a blast effect of developed explosives, three different kinds of aluminized tastable explosives and melted cast explosive TNT were used. Conventional explosive TNT was used as a reference. Each tested explosive charge of 340mm diameter spherical type was initiated at the charge center with DXD-65(${\sim}750g$) booster and RP-87 EBW detonator. Thirteen piezo type pressure sensors were located at a range from 4 to 50m away from the charge. From the blast wave profiles, we calculated a peak blast pressure and impulse of the explosion. The calculated pressures and in pulses were converted to TNT Equivalent Weight(TEW) factor by the scaling ]aw method. The average TEW factors based on the blast pressure of TX-01, TX-02, TX-03, TX-04 were 1.298, 1.05, 1.266, 1.274 and the average TEW factors based on impulse were 1.504, 1.686, 1.640, 1.679. From the results, we concluded that TEW factors based on blast pressure and based on impulse of aluminized explosives were superior to TNT. This results are owing to the high contents of aluminum in formulations.

The resulting agreement shows that the finite element model can accurately estimate the solidification time and predict the cooling process.

무연 복합 솔더의 미소경도에 미치는 기계적 변형과 온도의 영향 (Effects of Temperature and Mechanical Deformation on the Microhardness of Lead free and Composite Solders)

  • 전자 기기의 솔더 접합부는 고온에서 작동하고 온도 변화와 부품의 열팽창계수 차에 의해 소성변형을 겪게 된다. 그리고 변형된 솔더는 다시 고온에서 회복과 재결정의 과정을 겪는다. 이와 같은 일련의 열적 기계적 과정은 솔더의 미세구조와 기계적 특성을 변화시킨다. 본 연구에서는 전자 장치가 실제 작동할 때 솔더의 기계적 특성 변화를 예측하기 위해 여러 종류의 무연 솔더와 복합 솔더 (composite solder)의 미소경도 (micohardness)를 다양한 열적 기계적 환경에서 측정하였다. 측정된 무연 솔더에는 Sn, Sn-0.7Cu, Sn-3.5Ag-0.7Cu, Sn-2.8Ag-7.0Cu (복합 솔더), Sn-2.7Ag-4.9Cu-2.9Ni (복합 솔더)가 포함되어 있다. 솔더 시편은 $0.4{\~}7^{\circ}C$/sec의 냉각속도로 주조되었고 $30{\~}50\%$의 압축변형을 가한 후 $150^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 열처리하였다. 미소경도는 $25{\~}130^{\circ}C$에서 측정하였다. 각 시편의 미세구조 역시 관찰하여 미세구조와 비교하였다.

옥외광고물 설치를 고려한 복합상업건물 입면개선 - 창원시 일반상업지구를 중심으로 - (The Facade Improvement of Complexed Commercial Building Considering Open Signboard - Focused on Commercial district in Chnagwon -)

  • 최근 들어 옥외광고물에 대한 행정적 규제나 방침이 적용되고 있고 광고물 자체의 디자인이 향상되고 있으나 건축물 유형과 관련한 현실적인 옥외광고물의 상관성 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로 양자간의 정량적 상관성 분석을 통하여 도심 가로변 복합상업건축물의 디자인 시 옥외광고물의 패턴과 량을 미리 고려하여 입면을 개선하는 방법을 제시해보고자 한다. 매스계획 시에는 첫째, 전면공지형이 바로인접형 보다 옥외광고물 밀도를 낮추는 수단이 된다. 둘째, 전면적이 유사하면 높이차이가 있어도 광고물 수에는 변화가 없는 것으로 밝혀져 4층 이상 건물의 가로형광고물도 허가 시 총량을 제어하는 방안이 도입될 필요성이 제기되었다. 셋째, 동일레벨보다 상승진입형으로 가로와 접하는 건물 옥외광고물의 밀도가 더 낮으므로 입면계획 시 이를 반영하되 가로특성별로 입면레벨 제어가 필요하다. 넷째, 스팬드럴이나 베란다 세장비를 옥외광고물 부착이 어려운 형태로 줄이고 매스 측면모서리에 돌출세로형광고물의 위치를 미리 배려하는 것이 유리하다. 다섯째, 중층부에는 세로형 돌출옥외광고물을, 중 고충부는 광고물이 작은 단위로 분산되지 않도록 큰 면적을 할애해야한다. 입면계획 시에는 첫째, 수직형보다 수평형 벽면과 횡연창이 많으므로 건물의 스팬드럴 위치와 폭을 일정하게 유지하면 이후 정렬된 광고물 설치를 기대할 수 있다. 둘째, 불규칙형 벽면형태가 단일주조형에 비해 오히려 광고물 총량 제어에 유리하다. 셋째, 횡연창이 광고물 총량을 가장 제어하기 힘들며, 복합창의 경우 횡연+종연창 복합형의 광고물이 격자+횡연창이나 격자+전면창에 비해 상대적으로 많으므로 이를 입면계획에 반영해야 한다. 넷째, 전면창복합형>격자창복합형>횡연창 복합형 순으로 광고물 제어에 유리하다. 그러므로 복합상업건축물 입면계획 시 일방적인 수평요소의 반복은 지양할 필요가 있다. 모서리계획 시에는, 첫째, 2개 이상의 가로와 접하는 건물의 경우 모서리부 광고 효과가 지배적이며 대부분 곡선돌출형이 사용되고 있었다. 그러므로 모서리 저층부를 필로티로 계획하여 보행흐름을 원활하게 하고 대신 입면을 투명하게 하여 간접광고(내부전시) 효과를 유도하는 것이 좋다. 특히 원형모서리는 건물 특화 성격이 강하므로 불가피할 경우 소형 액센트 광고 위치를 미리 벽면으로 할애하는 것이 경관 및 입면계획에 유리한 것으로 분석되었다.

용탕단조법에 의한 AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ 복합재료의 기계적 성질에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ Composites.)

  • In this study the fabrication technology and mechanical properties of AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ Composites by squeeze casting process were investigated to develope for application as the piston materials that require good friction, wear resistance, and thermal stability. AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ composistes without a porosity and the break of preform were fabricated at the melt temperature of $740^{\circ}C$, the preform temperature of $500^{\circ}C$, and mold temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ under the applied pressure of $1200kg/cm^2$ as the results of the observation of microstructures. As the results of this study, the tensile strength of AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ composites was not increased linearly with $Al_2O_3$ volume fraction and so it seemed not to agree with the rule of mixture, which had been used often in metal matrix composite. Also the tensile strength after thermal fatigue test was little different from that before the test. Consequently it was thought that AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ composites fabricated under our experimental conditions had a good thermal stability and subsequently a good interface bonding. Wear rate(i.e., volume loss per unit sliding distance) of AC8A/$Al_2O_3$ composites was decreased with $Al_2O_3$ volume fraction and the sliding speed at both room temperature and $250^{\circ}C$ and so there was a good correlation between wear rate and hardness. Also the wear rate of AC/8A20% $Al_2O_3$ composities was obtained the value of $1.65cm^3/cm$ at sliding speed of 1.14m/sec as compared with about $3.0\;{\times}10^{-8}cm^3/cm$ hyereutectie Al-Si alloy(Al-16%Si-2%Cu-1%Fe-1%Ni), which applied presently for piston materials. The wear behavior of $Al_2O_3$ composites was observed to a type of abrasive wear by the SEM view of wear surface.
