본 연구는 노인과 아동청소년을 위한 건강 및 복지시설의 바이오필릭 디자인 특성을 비교 분석하기 위해 시행된 문 헌연구이다. 한국교육학술정보원 데이터베이스에서 노인과 어린이, 청소년 건강 및 복지시설의 바이오필릭 디자인 관련 문헌을 선정하여 바이오필릭 디자인 요소별 빈도를 분석한 후 비교하였다. 노인시설 관련 문헌 네 개와 어린이 및 청소년 시설 관련 문헌 네 개를 분석한 결과, 노인시설의 '자연의 직접 체험'에 해당하는 바이오필릭 패턴이 아동청소년 시설보다 더 많았고, '공간과 장소 체험' 패턴은 아동청소년 시설이 더 많았다. '자연의 간접체험' 패턴은 노인시설과 아동청소년 시설이 유사하였다. 건강 및 복지시설을 이용하는 취약아동의 스트레스 감소를 위해 '자연의 직접체험' 패턴을 더 많이 활용할 것과 노인의 스트레스 감소 및 인지강화를 위하여 '공간과 장소 체험' 패턴을 더 많이 활용할 것을 제안한다.

Purpose: Evidence-based design is the process of making design decisions based on reliable research to achieve the best results, so it is important to accumulate reliable evidence through research. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present new evidence by applying the evidence-based design process to improve the digital signage for each room spaces in hospitals and verifying its effectiveness. Method: Through the 8-step process of evidence-based design, improved digital signage for each room spaces are installed. It conducted surveys and statistical analysis to prove hypotheses by linking design and research. Results: The hypotheses established in the study are: 1) improvement in the readability of digital signage is correlated with patient satisfaction; 2) Improving the intuitiveness of digital signage correlates with patient satisfaction; 3) Improving the sufficiency of digital signage correlates with patient satisfaction. As a result of satisfaction analysis and correlation analysis, all of the above hypotheses were proven. Implications: Although the hospital sign system is the element that patients rely on most intuitively in the long journey of reception, waiting, examination, and treatment, there is insufficient evidence to refer to or apply it when designing. It is necessary to expand future research to expand the evidence that can be applied to hospital sign design.

For the purpose of easy approach, social welfare facilities that have close relation to local society establish welfare facilities, as schools, religious faciliteis, town-block offices, libraries, etc. Especially the church neighboring the region can use regional resources in human power, facilities, financial power. So the purpose of this research is to investigate the concept and sort of religious facilities and regional connection and present the direction of social welfare facilites plan through the case study of social welfare faciliteis performing public welfare work, attached to church.

Purpose: This study is a case study in which the space was improved by applying the design direction derived through the theoretical basis and service design process to the outpatient department and health examination center in mental health facilities used by various stakeholders. And it aims to present implications through this. Methods: The research method is based on the analysis of the service design process with a focus on literature review. Results: As a result of deriving the design direction, it was organized into 1) improvement of spatial arrangement, 2) improvement of wayfinding system, and 3) creation of comfortable environment. The design improvement plan suggested division of areas, change of nurse station location, creation of a pleasant waiting space for the outpatient department, reinforcement of access, improvement of room relocation and flow, and increased comfort of common spaces for the health examination center. Implications: First, it is necessary to expand research and application of spatial planning and environmental design reflecting the characteristics of patients and environments of mental health institutions. Second, in the medical environment, the divided territoriality should be reviewed for various stakeholders as well as the coexistence. Third, it is necessary to promote medical service and environmental improvement through the service design process.

지속적인 노인인구의 증가와 고령화가 급속하게 진행되면서 지역 내 노인복지관은 지역주민의 다양한 욕구를 충족시키는 대표적인 서비스 공간으로 그 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 또한, 과거세대에 비해 높은 학력수준, 경제능력의 향상, 가치관과 라이프스타일이 변화됨에 따라 이전 세대와는 다르게 양질의 서비스를 추구하는 성향이 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노인 연륜적 특성 지표인 라이프스타일 측정도구를 사용하여 노인의 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 노인복지관의 만족도를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 서울에 위치한 7곳의 노인복지관 이용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과 첫째, 군집분석을 통해 라이프스타일 유형을 독립활동형, 보호활동형, 적극도전형, 소극도전형으로 분류하였다. 둘째, 노인의 라이프스타일에 따른 노인복지관의 전반적인 만족도는 보호활동형이 가장 높게 나타났으며 그 다음으로는 소극도전형, 적극도전형, 독립활동형의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 라이프스타일 유형별로 노인복지관의 공간특성이 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 독립활동형과 소극도전형은 친밀성, 보호활동형은 쾌적성, 적극도전형은 편의성이 가장 영향력이 큰 것으로 조사되었다.

Movement from aging society to aged society and to ultra aged society is a fact that we have to accept as reality. It also means that we are given a common assignment of supporting the aged. Therefore, this study dealt with forms of space of the welfare facilities for the aged in Japan that are being suggested as a plan to solve the problem of supporting the aged. Japan who has similar Confucian culture like Korea experienced the aging of population 30 years earlier and enactment of law 20 years earlier than Korea. Therefore, Korean policies, systems and standards for welfare of the aged have been following Japanese welfare development model. This study analyzed the small-scale multifunctional welfare facilities for the aged in Japan before founding them in Korea to adapt the facilities that are compatible in domestic circumstance.

Recently, the service for nursing home has been transforming in an overall way, and along with that, the supply of the recuperation facilities for the elderly has been expanding. However, the quantitative expansion of those facilities has not been accompanied by the qualitative supply. In consideration of those shortcomings of the existing facilities, it may be necessary to ensure an improvement in qualitative terms. This study investigated and analyzed the Nursing home, examined the current situation, reconsidered the state of recuperation facilities for the elderly as part of effort to prepare for the silver society, and present measures for improvement in an attempt not to repeat mistakes that have been observed in the existing facilities in planning Nursing home that will be open and built in the upcoming days, which aimed to provide basic data that can be used in the future and explore the direction of relevant design.

It is expected that the need of a social welfare hall gradually arise in our community, since we regard the meaning of social welfare as a right which all of the people should have as guardians of the weakest members. Today, ambiguous guidelines on architectural plan of the social welfare hall, which are still not suitable for function and role of this hall, and are not corresponded with architectural design from the early design phase, are proposed in our design competition, because these kinds of halls have not been often built according to functional requirements of the social welfare. Therefore, this study proposes an architectural strategy that should be considered before designing a new social welfare hall, through an analysis of spatial usage in operation programs of various newly-built halls in Korea.
